Ocean fish and chips know how to cook some Fish! The batter was cooked perfectly. It was crunchy paired with crisp french fries. I have been looking for a solid fish and chips place and this is the spot. I recommend the 2 fish or 3 fish combo!!!!

When I did a Google search for places to eat nearby when my car was at the dealership, this didn't really show up on the search and I don't know why. While walking down the street I saw the sign and decided to direct my family to stop by here instead. Am I glad I did. The decor is typical for a small business, not fancy, not shabby. The food was excellent. They had a wide variety to choose from. We purchased a little of everything to all try. Hamburger was great, I had the 3 piece fish and chips. Teriyaki chicken and beef, calamari. The fish was battered and fried perfectly. It wasn't over cooked, it wasn't greasy. Same with fries and calamari. The chicken and beef teriyaki rice bowl was just as delicious. The sauce was not too oily or glazey. The chicken and beef were grilled just right. The hamburger was I think a pre-made patty but still fresh tasting and delicious. Lettuce and tomatoes were crisp and fresh. I am so glad that we decided to go here instead of a traditional chain. Definitely recommend it. Keep up the quality and good work!

I happened to be up the street at a dealership and needed to find a quick bite. Saw this place was down the street so I dropped by. I walked in and ordered the daily special on the board for a piece of fish, 4 prawns, and fries for $8.99. The food was excellent. Fresh, piping hot, not oily, over or undercooked. Perfect, simple, and done right. An absolute bargain for that price. A guy who either is the greatest employee ever, or likely the owner, dropped what he was doing to rush over and clean tables whenever someone left. The restaurant while older, was very clean. He brought out fresh refrigerated sauces to the table that were also top notch. To top it off, the guy who I am assuming is the owner noticed one of the employees accidentally overcharged a customer due to a discrepancy about how something was ordered with the current special (he wanted some extra fish). The customer had no idea but the owner dropped by the table with a cash refund and explained to him what happened. This is awesome and these kind of ethics are missing from most places nowadays! I just wish I lived closer so I could come here more often! Will definitely be back when I'm around Arden.

Great place, and hits the chowder craving. Simple soup nothing too fancy like Monterey or Maine, but good chowder and hush puppies. The crab cake could’ve been better, but it beats all the work doing it at home. I give this place a 5 star because they are kind folks and treat every customer coming through the door with kindness and quick service!

The fish was hot, crisp, and so delicious. This is going to be my spot for Fish & Chips. The ability to order a single piece of fish with chips is so appreciated; I'm not a big eater and this allowed me to get a portion that fit my appetite. On my second lunch visit I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and it was fantastic. This is clearly a small, family owned restaurant and they couldn't be more gracious, kind, and welcoming. (I do wish they used something more sustainable than the styrofoam they currently serve dine-in on but I think I can understand their reasons.)

Wow!!! The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable!! I got the 1 fish, 4 prawns meal with fries with a coleslaw for less than $10. The seafood was crispy, fresh, not greasy, and just the right amount of flavor!! Fries were good and the coleslaw meshed perfectly with my meal. The owner is very nice and personable too!! I can't wait to try other menu items!

I had the fish and clam strips. It was great fast friendly service. I also had the teriyaki and rice it was not the way I like it but I like my teriyaki very salty, so this might better for you. Overal great spot to eat.

Excellent food! Fish was amazing, good portions, perfectly fried, not too greasy or soggy delicious. Fries were crispy without being crunchy. Tiny location, but definitely a hidden gem.

Best Fish & Chips In town!!!!! Seriously, I almost tried every Fish & Chips place in Sacramento and in San Francisco East Bay, and hands down, this place is just the best. Their Fish, Scallops, Prawns, and Mussels are all super fresh, crispy, and delicious. Customer Service is just outstanding, and our order was ready in less than 10 minutes. Highly Recommended.

I love fish and love to order it just about every place I go. This place is the best I have ever tasted. Always hot and fresh. The family is very kind and clean and I could go on and on. When I am home this is the only place I order fish. I love their coleslaw and the fries are perfect. The other items on the menu are great. Some of my family do not like fish and they order the chicken. I've tried their chicken and it is great. Fantastic place. Reasonable prices. Always clean.

I tried the 2 piece fish and prawns and a crab cake. This order comes with fries. I don't know why I only had 1 piece of fish but, I didn't going back to say anything because I waited while my order was being cooked and I was ready to go by the time I received my food. The staff and customer service was very polite and welcoming. My fish was good. My prawns & fries were slightly overcooked and nothing really had any seasoning except for the crabcake. It had a little flavor but, it was more breading and seasoning than crab. It was just ok. Not bad, but not great. I'd like to go back and try other items on their menu. They did have a nice selection of foods to try. I like variety. Overall It's, a nice place to grab some cook to order fish or seafood.

This is mom and pop shop that stuck out to me as I was riding through the Arden area of Sacramento. Stopped in and grabbed a 3pc combo and chose the cod. All in all food was pretty good, but had an after taste. I think the oil needed to be changed possibly. Definitely a spot I would revisit again.

Super tasty eats! I’d probably go as far to say best fish and chips in this area. Even better than the eats we had on our last visit to Pier 39. Small restaurant that’s clean and doesn’t smell like old oil. The owners are super friendly and the food is always cooked just right and it’s never greasy. Thank you for being in our neighborhood!!

Always fresh and quick. I got oysters, gigantic fried mushrooms, fried shrimp ,A red snapper plate and the 3 piece cod meal. Everything was great. The owner even brought my food out to my car. I didn't order the teriyaki bowl but I've had it. It's really good tasting. Hands down this is the most affordable seafood place in sac. My fish portions were huge. I definitely recommend.

Hurts my heart writing this review because i liked their food. For the first time today, i ordered 2pc catfish and fries for takeout. I was so excited to try them out because I only tried their regular fish, which I like. Came home only to not be able to eat it. The catfish was raw, had a very strong raw smell, and tasted very very old disgusting. I was very upset. I spent almost $13 on the food and it was not worth it. I do not recommend ordering catfish.

Got 3 plates plus a side of mushrooms in just 20 minutes! I saw someone walk in right before us, too. Everything was hot, fresh and fried to perfection. It's definitely a hole in the wall but the food is worth it
