Cool Atlantic Ocean view with a long path to walk along the beach. Recommended for summer. There is a long pedestrian walk to gaze upon the beauty of the sea shore and beach.

Beautiful spot to enjoy the views - bloody cold for a swim though.

I am from America where we have tons of beaches. This was so quaint and pretty. Families playing with their dogs by the water. I could sit there watching the calmness all day.

A small city beach between the inner city of Galway and Salthill. Nice for taking a walk, I am not sure I would go swimming here, especially with how close it is to Mutton Island with it's sewage treatment plant. When the wind is coming towards the land there are tons of algae on the beach, especially in autumn.

A vista é linda. A água não estava gelada e tinham pessoas nadando. Me deu vontade de entrar, mas não estava preparada para isso. A água estava cristalina, mas tinham muitas algas. A areia não é branquinha, mas não tão escura. Levemente acinzentada. Dá pra ver de longe as montanhas, barcos navegando e o horizonte. Muito linda!

Beach is very tidal so pay attention if you would like to swim. Salthill in general can be windy. Clean beach, seaweed washes up here and is often cleared. More space than at ladies beach or further down the prom. Lifeguards on duty during summer.

Galway beaches are good looking, but the water is TOO cold and there is plenty of seaweed. If you like cold, then this is for you.

The day were cloudy when I arrived at the beach. Once I reach the sand strip, I took of my shoes and started walking towards the water... My friend, it was freezing hehe but at the same time it was so relaxing. Little by little the wind pushed the clouds away and the sun shone upon me. It was a really special moment.

Lovely beach. Was well used with swimmers, divers, walkers, runners at all times of day. Didn't see any litter and it was a nice place to take the kids for a walk. Pushchair friendly.

Schöner, flach ins Wasser gehender Strand. Klein aber fein.

Located between the heart of Galway and Salthill lies a petite beach, ideal for leisurely strolls. While it offers picturesque views, swimming may not be advisable. Nevertheless, it's perfect for an evening promenade along the coastline, especially with the possibility of witnessing a stunning sunset over Merton Island, depending on the weather.

Grattan Beach is a fantastic spot in Galway. It's a great place for a swim or a stroll along the shoreline, with beautiful views of the bay. The area is peaceful, yet close to the city center, making it a perfect getaway. Always a nice crowd of locals and swimmers, with plenty of amenities nearby

Place where you can make lots of friends, good place to socialize. Overall it's a very calm and beautiful place and if you are lucky you can witness dolphin over here I saw 3 dolphins last week. When the weather is sunny you can swim and if you love dogs then you can visit this place because many dog parents visit here with there dogs.
