    Hmm... it’s a museum and that’s all

Great for those interested in geology and earth history. It is a fairly large room packed with rocks, fossils, and other treasures. Free to get in, and a good amount to see. Don't forget to sign the guest book.

Museum has been closed for about 3 years now. Drove 200 kilometers from Dublin only to be greeted by a chap who told us the the museum has been in renovation since before Covid times. Also the location on Google maps will point you to a random house across the road. Thank you for wasting hours of my time driving from Dublin for nothing.

The museum is open by appointment only so apparently you have to email the university using the contact given on the museum's web link unless you know someone in the faculty like we did. It's well worth a visit if you have any interest in geology or even fossils. And note that there are switches on the cabinets that turn on the lighting. Note that the location may be incorrect and that is actually accessed from the quadrangle.

Splendid little museum showcasing various rocks and fossils, just what I hoped for! If you're visiting galway, definitely visit it, it takes less than an hour.

Wonderful university building outside! A little cute Museum, but difficult to find and really simple in its design. Positive thought is that it's free entry and very close to the taxidermy museum.

To visit such a wonderful place there must be an inner need. Then for you the time spent in this museum becomes a meditation, connecting into one whole millions of years of the planet and the moment now
