Excellent stay! The hosts are the kindest people ever. The lodge is super clean and tidy. Amazing location and great quality facilities. Keep in mind its not a party place. More for a quiet cozy evening. 10/10

We stayed at St Judes Lodge for two nights with my wife. We enjoyed the hosts, Sean and Dolan, the excellent breakfast and the close proximity - within walking distance - to the town centre. There was free parking on the premises. Most of all we were very thankful that the hosts sent us our iPad which we had accidentally left behind. Fantastic hospitality and great service!

We loved this hotel. Our favorite hotel during our Ireland trip. Our family stayed here for three nights. The two owners - twin brothers Sean and Donal - were amazingly helpful ever minute. I needed help booking the reservation and called Donal directly and he solved all my problems and when we arrived we found a wonderful, friendly place perfectly located in walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Galway. The full Irish breakfast got us started every morning, and kept us fueled until dinner most days. Sean and Donal go above and beyond to keep their guests happy. The beds also were super, super comfortable - better than some luxury hotels we have stayed at.

My husband, grown son and I stayed two nights in early August. Rooms are basic, clean, and comfortable. Hosts Donal and Sean were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was complete and very good. Location is great. Would visit again!

Could probably have been a great stay ... ... but we had to cancel 3 days before, because one of my sons tested positive for covid. I sent a message immediately, and another one, and 3 more (5 in total) and never received any answer. I was charged 315 Euros for the family room. I contacted Booking, they did not have more luck, and finally had a chat with Sean, the manager, who showed no understanding and did not even suggest to rebook or any other compensation ... he did not even try to find other replacement guests in high season, just took the money. In their B&B description, it says that the owners "have been involved in the hospitality industry all our lives and absolutely love it" ... The first definition of hospitality was in the 16th Century's Encyclopédie: "the virtue of a great soul that cares for the whole universe through the ties of humanity" (wikipedia).

Our first time staying in Galway and St Judes Lodge did not disappoint. Located just a few min walk away from the down town center makes it an ideal spot for a relaxing nights stay. Nice quite room and a good breakfast served in the morning. Would recommend booking here when traveling thru Galway.

Exceptionally friendly hosts! They knew what we needed before we even knew ourselves. Great possibility to use the breakfast room the whole day with complimentary tea and coffee. And the walking distance to the city centre is 10 minutes max. We really enjoyed it, thanks a lot!

Really an amazing place! From the beginning u can feel like u came to visit family. Owners they are so lovely , always nice and be there for you. U can never feel bad there! Also it is so clean place. The cleaning service came every day to clean in the room change your towels and sheets, if u need it. They serve delicious breakfast at affordable price. I heartily recommend that place!

The place looks nice, the rooms are quite clean. 10 minutes walk from main attractions. We were 3 persons, and got a room with 6 beds, which was quite strange and unpractical. We consider price is rather too high for this category of loging. Parking in a site is a plus.

Lovely little B&B 10 minute walk from Eyre Square. The twin brothers that owned it were great, really friendly and helpful. Rooms were good, well looked after. Will be returning next St Patricks Day!

Didn't realize it's a hostel for college students. It was not clean and had lots of mold. The beds weren't comfortable and the room was cold.

A great place to stay! The staff is very nice and friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The breakfast is absolutely top-notch and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended! Also if you need to buy a tour, you can do it there. We did it just one day before the tour and it worked great!

Very nice, clean and warm rooms in the B&B, with only 5 minutes walking from city center. Hosts Sean and Donal gave us a very friendly welcome and also infos and local tips. The breakfast was wonderful with good latte, lot of baked beans, toast with eggs, sausages, ham, orange juice, and everything a tourist needs. We will definitely come back again. Thanks for hosting us, Noemi, Astrid and Alex from Berlin, Germany

Great place to stay if you like a place that has friendly service, cozy rooms and a nice Irish breakfast to start your day. The lodge is a 5 minute walk to downtown Galway and sits across from the Yeats Library. It has off street parking which was a relief after driving around town looking in vain for places to park. The owner could not have been a more gracious host!

Great experience of staying for a weekend, we were too late to book, but I think you could get this for cheaper. Spacious rooms, although main door of the complex of 2 apartments was a bit hard to lock. Close to town.

Stayed a weekend at this lovely place. Rooms are clean and we had a great view of the sea (might be limited to the top floor). Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The hosts were wonderful. Very friendly and customer focused. Great location. Short walk into the city centre. I recommend staying wholeheartedly.

In hindsight we should have pre-booked lodging before arriving in Galway. But that was not the type of trip we planned. So we were left with staying at St. Jude's Lodge. While clean, it was over priced for the location and time of year. We had no other choice but to book a triple, with two people and it was not worth the price. The establishment was billed as a bed and breakfast, but had way too many rooms in our opinion to be considered this, it would be better billed as a hotel. The food was marginal for a buffet.

“No bother, no bother.” The catchprase of our hosts. NO TRUER WORDS EVER SAID. Everything is impeccable, from the greeting at the door to the wonderful breakfast. Rooms spotless, free on-site parking and a short stroll to the city centre. We’d stayed here before, so were not surprised. This however was Nana’s first visit and she was well impressed and left wondering why anyone would spend a fortune to stay in a hotel in Galway, with the fantastic value and quality of St Jude’s family run B & B was available

Lovely stay. Support locals :) Great location near the coach station and steps from heart of bars/restaurant. We took the bus from Dublin Airport and avoided renting a car because we could walk to this lovely Galway BB

Absolutely Wonderful! I spent three night with my girlfriend. Lovely staff. The two brothers that run the place are incredibly friendly and helpful. We booked a tour of the Cliffs, which picked us up right at the door of the B&B. The location is super close to the city centre (10-15 minutes walk). Breakfast was good. Lots of selection for a very affordable price (8 euros) - coffee, juice, milk, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, bread, treats, beans, blood pudding and plenty more. Very cleanly. Fresh towels and a freshly made bed everyday. If we ever decided to come to Galway again, we would definitely consider this B&B.

Very professionally run B&B. Like a hotel. The room was spotless. The shower was great. They had tea & coffee making facilities and also free parking on site. The bed was really comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. The breakfast (€8) was buffet style and was also great. Galway city (Eyre’s square) is only an 8 minute walk. Overall I highly recommend this B&B.

Nice, family b&b with great service and breakfast. We were very pleased to stay here for 2 nights. Our room was very clean and quiet. The house is located 10min walk to the city center which is a pleasant walk after enjoying some oysters in the city. If we ever stop by Galway again, we’d definitely stay at St. Jude’s. Thanks!

This B&B is Excellent!! Sean and Donald are extremely welcoming and kind. My daughter stayed at St Judes when she was attending Yeats college across the street and she loved it there. The B&B was spotless everyday her bathroom was cleaned and fresh towels put out for the next day also her bed was make and the room vacuumed. For breakfast you could have a fry every morning or put an order in the night before if you wanted poached eggs or boiled it was no problem for the kids to make porridge in the morning themselves. Every morning a selection of breads, cereal, fruit, yogurt, orange juice and of course teas and coffee were available to the students. Any parents who are looking for accommodation for children attending Yeats this year this guest house is wonderful. Sean and Donald are on top of everything at St Judes my daughter had a bad migraine and Sean offered to run to the shop and get her panadol and made her a cup of tea. I will be forever grateful to Sean and Donald and the staff at St Judes for making my daughters stay an enjoyable one this B&B is a home away from home. I don't normally write reviews but St Judes is a 10/10. Bernadette O'Malley
