Very nice staff, great breakfast with a few options for people who have allergies or similar, comfortable and warm rooms, not the closest to the city center, but very near. Bed wasn't the most comfortable ever, but did the job well. Overall, a good experience.

I had the best room in the house overlooking the garden. The breakfast was fantastic and the host was the best. Thank you Brooklyn for carrying up my bags. Will definitely stay here again!!

I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Asgard Guest House and I cannot recommend highly enough staying there. As opposed to the detached feeling I always have with staying at hotels, returning to this guest house at the end of each day of sightseeing felt like returning home. The location is a short walk (about 600 meters) from the central train and bus stations and downtown Galway. The staff couldn't have be more gracious, attentive and hospitable, the room and bed were super comfortable and spacious and clean. They serve a lovely breakfast buffet and seating is in a glassed in dining room with the view of their beautiful garden, a beautiful view I also had from my room window on the floor above. The only downside was the bathroom, which is very outdated and needs renovation. I most highly recommend staying here!!

If you are a solo, female traveler with checked in luggage, this place is definitely not recommended as the owner/manager Ferrel (not sure about his exact, correct name) would tell you that he cannot help you due to his back. We were part of a tour group and I saw my fellow solo female tour mates struggling like myself the flight up/down the stairs with luggage. Secondly, it was very noisy both from outside as well as inside. I could even hear the snoring and sneezing from the next room! Thirdly, next to the bed was the large heater sort of thing and I kept banging into it throughout the night. Couldn't even get a proper night of sleep! We were stuck due to the tour but if you have the option then avoid!

Stayed here for one night on a Paddywagon tour. The host was friendly, he helped us find the best places in Galway. The location is a 5 minute walk from the city centre which is really convenient. My room was very small, but the bed was lovely. The big downside for me was the fact that the walls appeared to be extremely thin, so guests from other rooms going to bed later than me kept on waking me up. Breakfast was really nice.

(Translated by Google) Very good B & B. The location is good, five-six minutes from downtown, which makes it in a quiet and little busy (something that is appreciated with the hustle that there is the weekend downtown). The rooms are somewhat small, but very clean, cozy and well equipped. The service is impeccable, with lovely owners who help you in whatever. The breakfast is good and varied, with the possibility of repeating in the Irish dishes if you wish. (Original) Muy buen B&B.

Enjoyed our stay in this modest property. Our room and bathroom were very small, but enjoyed generous breakfast and friendly staff. We found it nice and quiet overnight. Owner, Stephen was outgoing and helpful with suggestions for the area. Great location - could walk downtown within 10-15 minutes. Also close to New Coach Station re tour bus or airport connections.

(Translated by Google) Nice hotel located in a nice quiet area, slightly out of the center which does not hurt (10 minutes walk), cozy rooms, delicious and plentiful breakfast in a veranda with garden view, nice and welcoming owners and staff. All right! Tutto ok!

Terrible. Arrived around 7pm after working all day. Owner overbooked the B & B. Took 20minutes to check me in. Cold room. Noisy. Bed was comfortable in a small room. I think the overbooked guest got turned away later on. Watch out.

I found the the host Fergal, pleasant and helpful, in fact he waited for me and allowed me check in a good half hour after the normal check in time, and I found the guest house top of the range, no problem, I'll stay there again. Patsy Monaghan

My family and I just stayed at Asgard B & B for two nights. We had a triple and twin room. We had a wonderful experience. Breakfast was delicious, and the owners were extremely friendly. They were also very helpful as we were looking for a good place to have dinner and hear some music. There is not much extra space in the rooms, but no need to spend much time in there. There is plenty of fun things to do in Galway which is a quick 5 to 7 minute walk away. We highly recommend Asgard and would stay there again if we ever return to Ireland.

We stayed in June. We found our host friendly, our room comfortable and clean, our breakfast plentiful and delicious, and our location Quite walkable to city center. We were especially grateful for how accommodating the staff was to our child.

Cosy little place close to the city centre with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The room was clean with coffee and tea made available, couple with little crackers and a bottle of water. The bed firm, but very comfortable with plenty of heating in the room to keep the cold at bay.

I was offered a special cash price for my booking over the phone and was assured that parking was no issue at the B&B, very important to me as I was planning to spend the day and evening in the city. When I arrived at the B&B I was told parking was on the road, but I had noticed there were parking restrictions. When I said I was told there was parking they said "yes but you can park," I asked about the restrictions and the manager said "yes there's restrictions but the parking warden doesn't usually bother with this road." My sister and I were shown to the room which was cold, I spoke to the manager and said the room was cold. I then said I wasn't going to stay due to the cold room and the parking restrictions. They were unhelpful and said they were going to charge us anyway, they debited the full amount of the room from my card immediately and wouldn't take into account the fact that we were unhappy with the room and their service. When we called to speak to them about the fact they'd taken payment a few days later, they lied and said we had turned up at 8.30pm at night, we hadn't told them we weren't staying and they had had to call us to check. I offered to screenshot my phone to evidence that this wasn't true, we were there hours before that time and they didn't call us, we told them we weren't staying in a cold room. They also claim the heating was on in the room which it wasn't. We ended up booking into a really lovely B&B a few minutes away called St Judes, which we would highly recommend. A very poor experience with the Asgard Guest House and terrible customer service.

(Translated by Google) Pros: 1. It is well located, 10 minutes walk from the center, on a busy but not noisy street. 2. Has parking. Against: 1. It lacks maintenance. 2. It lacks cleanliness. 3. The rooms are too small. 4. It has a musty smell. (Original) Pros: 1. 2. Tiene parking. Contra: 1. (Translated by Google) It is a very old building not very well maintained. In fact in the same block there are better hotels for the same price and even for less. We, for example, in Killarney were at Ardree House (a beauty). And by the way, we liked Killarney more than Galway, who is cute but not so neat or clean, and full of young people drinking alcohol.

(Translated by Google) A good B & B 5 minutes from the center of Galway. Very good breakfast. Good recommendations of pubs where listening to live music. The only catch is that being in a highway with traffic the cars are listened to.

Asgard Guest House is a quaint and charming B&B. I looked forward to eating a delicious meal in the sunny breakfast room each morning. Ferg was friendly and welcoming throughout our 3-night stay. Great location- easy to walk around and explore Galway!

(Translated by Google) A small but cozy bed end breakfast, nice staff and also composed of Italian students (1). The room is compact and the bathroom a bit small but comfortable. Breakfast is excellent especially for those who don't want just savory items. Fergal was polite and accommodating, the room was clean albeit small. No TV, but if you're staying at a BnB to visit Galway I see no reason to need one. The bed was more comfortable than the one I have at home and the breakfast was (limited) but very good. Cereals, coffee and an assortment of teas, ham and cheese, yogurt, slices of various toasts, but the best for me is the fresh fruit salad and croissants, both made daily. The room had an electric kettle with coffee and tea provided, and the shower is incredibly easy to operate. Roughly a ten minute walk fr the square as well.

Will not be returning to this accommodation. 90euro for a room for 1 person midweek. Noisey small room in attic with really uncomfortable bed, could hear every movement/bed creak from next door. NO TV!!! Host stated continental breakfast from 8am. Went down at 8am. Dining room door locked no sign of anyone. Came back 10 mins later, still locked....terrible service.
