Sadly not the most attractive place to stay. First impression was the smell of Fry at check in at 4 pm. Way overpriced for such a small dated room.. crack in the sink..not very clean.. did not have optional for non dairy as stated on breakfast menu. Bed was comfortable but the space was limited as was parking. Wont be staying again and would not recomend to a friend. Staff were friendly.😢😢😢

The b&b is grand. Clean. Quiet. Really close to Galway city centre. More importantly for when rains, it's really close to a bus stop :-). Even though the breakfast is advertised as offering a full Irish option. The full Irish breakfast is only available in a sister B&B about 5mins walk from the B&B. Although it is only a 5min walk I was displeased with this walk. It was not clarified on the website, nor when I rang to clarify the breakfast options.

This B&B is located near a bus stop and if you decide to have a walk, it is 15 minutes away from the center of Galway. The car park is on the street. The room is very clean and the place is quiet. The only problem is that the walls are thin between rooms.

Excellent room, handy location, reasonable price for the bank holiday and owners could not have been nicer! They went over and above - definitely recommend 😊

Absolutely stunning B&B. Really has to be seen to be appreciated. Centrally located. Sean and Donal are so friendly, welcoming and are always on hand to answer any questions. Cannot recommend Abbey Lodge B&B Galway highly enough. Anyone I know coming to Galway I always recommend they stay with Galway Guesthouses... Brilliant!

First night I got there very late cause of a flight delay but staff was still waiting, really appreciated. Spent a week there, the room was kept clean and comfy, the building was very quiet at night. Nice breakfast selection and in my opinion inexpensive for the quality, recommended.

We stayed two nights, lovely B&B, clean and comfortable room for an acceptable price. Maria was very welcoming. Recommend the Traditional Irish Breakfast..

["Beautiful B&B 5 minutes walk from the city centre. The rooms were comfortable, beautiful, warm and the showers were amazing. Couldn't meet nicer hosts and the value was great with a delicious Continental breakfast thrown in to start the day off. Would highly recommend to anyone go stay here",null,[0,291]]

Great service, beautiful residence and fantastic location. Just below a 10minute walk from Eire Square, this is the perfect place to have a relaxing stay in Galway for a very decent price. To top it off, you get a fantastic, authentic Irish breakfast which will get you ready for your Galway excursion.

Sean and Donal were lifesavers. We had booked a different hotel and it didn't work out for a multitude of reasons. We checked out the Abbey and it was perfect. The room was plenty spacious, nicely updated, very comfortable and clean. We had full access to the kitchen; dishes, microwave, refrigerator, etc. There is a cute dining area, and small backyard. Breakfast was excellent, just down the street. Nice variety everyday and Sean and Donal are excellent hosts. It was a home away from home. We were able to park there as we had rented a car, but we did not need to drive anywhere in Galway as the room was within walking distance to anywhere we wanted to go. There are also bike rentals right across the street and the city bus goes right by. We changed our plans and stayed another night before moving on. I would highly tecommend staying here to any of my family and friends. We hope to be able to return some day.
