Lovely to see the restoration of this property and gardens. Visited nearly 20 years ago so will be great to see the gardens return to their former glory. Guided tour only at present €5 for about an hour. Will be great to see next year when their will be extended walks and not the need for a guided tour.

Went here on a Sunday with our kids. €5 each for both adults. There's a guided tour option too, but we wanted to wander around ourselves. The paths are not ideal for a buggy, but we knew that beforehand. It is a beautiful place, with countless trees, a river running through it, and lots of plants and flowers, most of which are tagged with their names. The walled garden has some wonderful flowers and grapes hanging from the shaded walkway. Unfortunately, there are still areas closed off as work is ongoing by the OPW, but we will definitely return when fully opened up. We had refreshments from the little cafe, which was reasonably priced. There's also some old horse traps and broughams in the courtyard. The house is not open to public. There is a car park a little way from the entrance. All in all, a lovely way to spend a couple of hours in a peaceful environment, though we weren't lucky enough to spot any wildlife.

Well worth a visit ☺️ the size of the gardens is quite something and the fact that the river flows through it only makes it more beautiful. Great selection of rhododendrons in the spring time. Not so much in the walled garden but it's still work in progress. The center island is going to be opened at some point too. The house isn't open, i.e. no tours in it. The staff were very friendly. No coffee shop open when I was there but it might be early yet.

If you like being near nature (and if you don't, why are you in Ireland?), it's a great place to visit! The grounds are beautiful and the buildings are under renovation, so it will be even better next season, hopefully! The guided tour is in the price of the ticket and it's worth waiting to join a guided tour, because the history of this place is very interesting.

It is a lovely garden with a gentle stroll around it, it does hold historical value , very beautiful, parts of the walks are closed off, I could only pay with cash, cards are not accepted, they do guided walks if required, there are a lot of steps and uneven walkways.

The gardens are nice and relaxing but a lot of areas are closed off to the public.
