Nice little forest walk. Bit of a hill in a couple of places. There is plenty of seating areas all around the trail with some offering good views. The monument you can see along the trail is 25 metres tall and was erected in 1809 by Dodwell Brown in memory of his wife Marie Brown O'Donel who died at a young age after taking ill. Most of the trail is wheelchair accessible but not all. There is a great car parking area and it's a very short distance from Castlebar Town.

Nice forest, 30 min walk on the loop, there are two side paths that I didn't go down. Mostly native trees here and is quite clean. There are a few benches and picnic tables. Good spot

It’s not a very long walk pathway. It’s fabulous out there in the beautiful woodland. I’d highly recommend it. A great spot and only minutes from Castlebar Town.

A great walk just near Castlebar on the road to Newport with nice views and fresh air, takes around 30 minutes to make the loop. You can see the obelisc and if you're lucky some wild animals.

Perfect for a calm relaxing walk to unwind. Very Green and Irish ☘️
