😠 GREEDY FOR MONEY. After coming home from my holiday with some bug bites a pharmacist recommended that I go to the doctor to get them checked. I went to Whitehall I was with a doctor for 5 minutes. She told me to take some paracetamol and if the itching persists to call her. The receptionist told me... I'm in my 60s have been using Whitehall medical center since I was in my 20's. Receptionists are first class long serving ladies to new people. I have dealt with all doctors in there and got first class treatment. Even when they have trainee doctors in there you are informed that they are there. At the moment one or two of the doctors are on leave and there is a cover doctor in. I have had 4 dealing with this gentleman given me first rate treatment. Also the nurse Ashley very friendly. I will keep using their service till I can no longer. Thank you all.

Disgrace of a place, would give them 0 stars if I could. Avoid at all cost They will do everything they can to avoid referring you to the public health system but will almost oblige you to go to private clinics by lying and saying you are not entitled to go to How this place is still open is hard to believe. The receptionists are the rudest people I have ever come across and nobody seems to care about the humiliating, disgusting way they treat patients who are feeling at their lowest. Simply disgusting

90% of my interactions with this office have been a poor experience. They have sent over the wrong prescription/ not send my prescription when they say they will more times than I can count. Unprofessional & extremely unorganized staff that does not follow through with what they tell you they will do. The receptionist continuously interrupts my husband and I when speaking to her & everything is never her problem. She will hang up on you because she doesn’t want to deal with the situation. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

I have been a patient in this medical center for many years and had such a positive experience on every level that my husband Also signed up. I can honestly say that from the reception to the medical staff the genuine care has been above and beyond. My husband has suffered from I'll health but because of early intervention he is a happy 70 yrs old enjoying life.My history has been more complex and thought Dr wall is our primary phicisian I have attended all the GP over the yrs and have always been treated with compassion and given credence to my concerns always with a further investigation. We both feel very lucky to be patients at Whitehall medical center . Sincerely Helen and Peter.

I have had appointments with a couple of Whitehall Medical Centre's doctors and would recommend. Very knowledgeable, offering good advice, and understanding of any concerns. The reception staff are always very pleasant to deal with too.

My experience was horrible as from 2019,my physical and mental health were put in danger over and over again, there are staff members who abuse patients with ease,I would not recommend as they have already done damage and no doubt more to come, front of desk, untrained nurses,I've seen many stay and leave over the years, but this is dangerous, stay away, the blonde on the front should not be near people, E,S,G disgusting and a disgrace

30 years plus using this surgery. It is without equal in Galway city. Friendly, knowledable staff. Always prepared to go the extra mile. This goes for Dr's Practice nurses and secretarial staff. Thankyou

I am a registered patient at Whitehall medical Centre from more than 10 years, and my two children going regular for check ups, at the moment I am in a new relationship with my partner we have a couple a day's old baby and the new receptionist told me with an attitude talking to me and very poor customer skills maybe related to somoane from the administration that's how she got that job that they don't take in my baby after talking with God knows who and i need to travel 37 miles to another Gp to be checked. For everyone who is a patient at Whitehall medical centre in the future if you have more children guys you need to find another Gp because they told me they don't have spaces ,I would like if any of you are in the same situation write a line. I am looking forward to change myself out from them if they didn't accept my son why will I stay with them?Maybe they don't even care because they have plenty of people on medical cards from where they get paid aloud. Just wanted to share my experience with them 0 stars 🌟 for communication and attitude and indifference in the end of the day we are all humans even if we are from different backgrounds nationality etc.we all deserve respect talking to us.Very bad energy.

I have been with this practice since first moving to galway 13 years ago. Receptionists so rude and clearly don't listen. Showed up for my appointment this morning after travelling into the city in traffic to be told they couldn't take me as must have been a mix up appointments that I'd have to come back another day. Tried to explain I was working the rest of the week I'd made the appointment a week previous for this reason and they couldn't care less. It's a shame as the doctors are nice and helpful. But I wouldnt recommend

I used to go to this doctor but I left because they are highly incompetant and rude. I went to see a doctor there once for very bad chest pains. I was told to take a few panadols and see how it felt. I went back and I was sent for physio. The physio was addled, he didnt know what to do because the pain was not muscle related. I went back to the doc again and she suggested I was a hypochondriac and prescribed me anti depressants telling me they would resolve my chest pain. I didnt even realise what they were until the pharmacist told me.... Nearly a year later I still have that pain in my chest. They're also super chilled when it comes to writing prescriptions. If you dont leave your apponitment with the prescription you wont get it for 2/3 days. They are not at all chilled about taking your money though On the other side I find the staff rude. Dr. Enda is great, but I find the reception staff incredibly rude too, they clearly couldnt care any less. And the nurse is also incredibly rude. She's definitely not in the right line of work, her bedside manner is horrific I would not recommend this doctors to anyone.

Receptionist are the worst, miserable, awful, unhelpful and unsympathetic people you can find anywhere! They clearly hate their job, don't want to be there, can't talk to people ,don't know what to do, never follow up on anything, have no sense of procedure or process.( I lied ) The only thing they know to do is to gossip all day long. Been a patient here for over 10years and they are getting worse by the day. Some have been there for years and I don't know how they manage to still be there. I've been told to find myself another doctor if I don't like they're answer. I could write a whole book an absolute discrace of the highest order on how they treat people here.

GREEDY FOR MONEY. After coming home from my holiday with some bug bites a pharmacist recommended that I go to the doctor to get them checked. I went to Whitehall I was with a doctor for 5 minutes. She told me to take some paracetamol and if the itching persists to call her. The receptionist told me it would be €60 for the 5 minutes I spent with the doctor. I told her I was a student and she gave me a pure bargain of €50 instead. A few days later my bites were still itchy. I called the doctor. She told me to take more paracetamol. Later that day her receptionist called to tell me that my “phone consultation” was going to be €50. I absolutely refused to pay it. An absolute joke. She would of got €110 if I had given In. €110 FOR 10 MINUTES OF HER TIME and to be told to take some paracetamol.

We are patients of this practice for years. They are professional and highly experienced. I noticed specifically during the pandemic that we were never long waiting for a call back or an appointment. Always within the day. This is really important with young children and is no longer the case with many other practices where you can't get through or are waiting days for appointments. I can't speak highly enough of all the doctors, nurses and receptionists in this practice.

Just phoned this G.P. Surgery to enquire if they're taking on new Patients. It's a simple straightforward yes or no question. Very smart sassy girl answered. She asked me was I registered with a Doctor. I was trying to explain I was looking for another medical opinion. Her sarcastic genius response was I would have to be registered as a Patient there. Hence why I was ringing in the first place. Hence was purpose of my call at all. Rude and sarcastic and un-professional. And very un-helpful to say the least. It costs nothing to be nice..😔😔 And it sometimes doesn't cost much just to be decent and kind and helpful. It's very disappointing to be spoken to on the phone like this. There's no need to be un-necessarily sarcastic or un-helpful. Very un-pleasant experience / encounter here. Not something that should be repeated. Need to do better. ZERO STARS. Then out of curiosity/nosiness or whatever, - she wanted to know why I wanted to see Doctor, that she "might be able to help". Sorry but I'm not here to entertain anyone's curiosity/nosiness. You could have helped by not being sarcastic. And since when does knowing if there's capacity to take on new Patients depend on the Patients ailments??!! Would or should that not depend on the number of Patients signed up already, if ye have space left. Does this mean that ye only take on Patients depending on what's wrong with them?? I may have to find out more on this......

I have been going to Whitehall over 30 yrs. Could not fault any of the staff on anything. Dr Wall is my main doctor, i find him very thorough and excellent at putting me at ease whenever I have any ailments. I have also gone to other doctors in this practice and have no complaints at all.

😠 Worst place I’ve ever been to! Don’t waste time and money going here. Came here as I had recently moved to Galway and didn’t have a Dr yet. The Dr. was absolutely brutal literally got laughed at for concerns I was expressing about my health and explaining my medical history. No examination, question...

👍👍 Excellent service. Almost impossible to access a GP out of hours in Galway when you are new to the area and not registered with a clinic. This GP really helped me out one Sunday when I was in a lot of pain. Have since attended a couple of times and always very happy. Professional, friendly and knowl...
