Randomly walked into this place a few months back and now I don’t leave Westend without dropping in here. Such nice coffee. Such nice barista — always the best recommendations and the best conversations ☺️ Extra grateful for one day when I wasn’t feeling great and the kind man made me a nice comforting mocha, chatted up with me and I walked out feeling so much better. Thank you for those little gestures. That’s what always brings me here. I wish they had more space but not complaining at all.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Such a terrific hole-in-the-wall cafe that’s a little outside the bars and crowds of Galway. Coffee was perfect and our barista Áine was so friendly! She provided so many local recommendations for food, more coffee, and things to see. You won’t regret coming here.

This is the friendliest coffee shop I've ever been to!! I came here on a study abroad for 2 weeks, and the barista talked to us for an hour from what a proper flat white is to all the best restaurants and pubs are in Galway. The atmosphere is chill and homey and there are books, chocolate, and pottery all written or made by local Irish businesses. I've never had a better experience - or better espresso - and I will definitely be back before leaving Ireland!!!

Possibly the friendliest baristas in the world - Áine was an absolute delight every time we've been into her, and today was entertaining a young child by putting magic frog powers into a coffee for the child's father, everyone in the shop was entertained to say the least! Delicious cakes, coffees and a lovely place to chill out and are suppliers of hapi bakery and mór bakes products, which are both amazing in their own rights and it's lovely to see the collaboration between these businesses. Also a bilingual business, if your order your coffee as gaeilge you receive a 10cent discount which is great to see the language use being encouraged. 10/10 all round!

This is the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to! The barista was so nice and gave us a ton of recommendations on where to eat and go in Galway, and even in Dublin. I’ve never had such a friendly interaction with a complete stranger before! The atmosphere in the coffee shop was also extremely friendly and casual, and we had random conversations with a bunch of guests that came in :) I definitely recommend Plámás to anyone who is in Galway! Already planning to come back soon!!

Best coffee I have found in Galway so far! The barista was very kind and gave me recommendations for other food places in the area. Had a lovely cappuccino with local honey that reminded me of my favorite coffee shop from back home. Plus, no extra charge for oat milk!

Cannot recommend this place enough. This is our favorite coffee and the people here are the loveliest. As tourists, we are already sad about leaving knowing we won’t get our daily (sometimes twice a day) fix at Plamas. Everyone here is so welcoming and warm and make our visits here such a highlight of our day!

The warmest welcome from staff which draws you back to this super cool little coffee shop in the heart of Galways westend. The coffee itself is pretty exceptional whilst the baked goods are slightly addictive. Bonus: Dog friendly Highly recommend.

Popped in with my family as it was close to where we were staying. Everyone loved their food and the coffee was top notch! Also, our server Anya was very helpful with recommendations on what to do while in Galway. Highly recommended!

Amazing coffee, really friendly staff, and possibly the best sanwich I have ever eaten in my life. The coffee was a coconut latte, perfectly foamed which is difficult with alternative milk sometimes, and the sandwich I had a lovely tuna sandwich, with tomatoes street corn& pink onions, came on tomato focaccia bread. Really cute tiny café in Galway City. Selection of cakes and sandwiches to choose from, they also sell some lovely nut butters and showcase artwork for sale frpm a Local Galwegian Art. If you are around i really recommend popping in, you wont regret it :D

Couldn’t recommend this place more highly. Excellent espresso, the best cinnamon bun I’ve ever had, and Áine was an absolute delight to chat with! Do make a point of stopping by here!

Amazing coffee, great attention taken in the prep .. and the brownie was fantastic, chewy / pecan-y / chocolatey goodness! Will return.

We popped in here completely unexpected (a food spot hadn't opened yet) and it was a good thing we did. We had a great hang with the barista and a few regular customers. Got all the info on the local specialty coffee spots and great food experiences. The space was clean and well designed. Super welcoming, friendly and knowledgable. Thanks for a great start to our day!

Wonderful coffee shop, my fiancé and I came back for seconds. If you’re a coffee lover, this is the best shop we’ve seen in Galway. We immediately made friends with the barista (guy with the little hat) and he was so wonderful. We wish we had somewhere this good near us at home in the states.

👍👍 Delightful cafe. I was warmly greeted at the door, and thankful that the shop was not overly busy at the time. I’m sure it gets packed at times! Had a very hearty bagel breakfast sandwich (one of the largest I’d seen). This place caters to locals and tourists. Close to the tail/bus station and they...

👍👍 A cute cafe that serves affordable breakfast and hot beverages right in front of the beautiful water.
