Very nice hotel near (very near) a beautiful beach! The rooms are comfy but I would like more selection between pillows. It has a very nice and helpful staff and the food is great! I will probably return!

As I often travel alone I am always a little anxious going somewhere new. The hotel does what you need a few small issues but to me I didn’t mind. The TV in my room didn’t show much (but I wasn’t in my room much so not an issue), the WI-FI is a bit hit and miss but again I’m on holiday so I don’t really care about that. The room was clean the food was good but the thing that made the holiday for me was the staff. The staff across the whole hotel were amazing and looked after me especially on my birthday. The team that helped me feel relaxed, safe and comfortable was hands down the animation team consisting of Marie, Max, Ida, Lurdi , Musa , Almamy , Mohammed and Michael. If it weren’t for them I would have had a very different experience. If you want peace and relaxation right on the beach this is a perfect place.

Lovely place with sea on both sides, single storey rooms ( good size too) nice food pleasant staff, all inclusive including towels for pool and beach, entertainment could be better but ok although don't expect late night dancing it finishes by 10-30.

The sun beach hotel & resort is a Very Nice place tot stay for your all in holidays in 'the gambia'. 4 bars of which 2 at the pools make sure you bever get thirsty during your stay. the regular restaurant served breakfasts, lunch and dunner is buffet style with various choices. la Cucina restaurant is more chique with table Serving for €10 per person more. the Spa and beauty arrangements are a real heaven for the body and soul at reasonable prices per treatment. and the gambia' hotel staff and People in the collages are the most warm friendly and enthousiaste People i have ever met ... the gambia' experience - do it, live it, enjoy it !!! due to COVID-19 we can only go back in december 2021 ... !!!

All inclusive, only booked in package deals. Kind and helpfull staff. Many English and Dutch tourists, off season mostly age 50+. Food was great, not much entertainment nearby, daytrips can be booked. Rooms are good ( expect 4 stars in Africa)

I just got back from this resort. It was amazing. everyone works very hard. All the staff are smiling and friendly. In particular the Animation team. They stole my heart. They were enthusiastic and accessible. Because my relationship with them became so good, I rebooked my ticket and stayed longer. A big 10 for the A-team!!!

Staff wonderful and can't do enough for you. A/C in rooms adequate but hotel lobby, restrooms, spa and restaurant, almost non-existent. Food good and varied but must watch out for flies/contamination etc as not enough due diligence given to keep cold food (salads 'n such) at a safe, cool temperature, and free from flies. Not enough cool air circulating in restaurant. Listed with TUI as a 4 star but it's only a 3 star at best. Would not stay here again.

Just stopped for a beer crazy expencive 330dalasi for 1 beer , everywhere else in Gambia you pay max 150dalasi

I have just spent a week in this hotel. I would say rooms are solid 3 european stars but the common area easily earns full 4 stars. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but bathroom devices need some small tuning - after that they will be just fine. The pool, the dining area, the hall and the bar are very nice. The service is quick and cheerfull. You get a variety of food for breakfast, dinner and supper and a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits. I loved the most "one side fried eggs" - they call them "sunny eggs".

This is a 3 star plus hotel.... The staff here are tremendous, so friendly and helpful..we had no WiFi in the room, they placed another mast near our block which worked... our room was very tired, we had no hot water for 5 days..weather being so hot made that bearable..food was good but a bit limited, local beer wasn't the best, so drank spirits for 10 days..how sad. !!!.. as for the locals and the place they are desperate people, you cannot engage with anyone without them expecting money, though they are polite with it this quickly becomes tiresome..be careful...do not engage with anyone at the airport, the will just pester you for money, tell the bag collectors politely no thank you......do take trips and see the place its educational we never felt unsafe, Tanji fishing village is a must see, get a green taxi only as they are tourist taxis and allow them to show you the local life, that is great to see buy sweets and dish them out to the kids..they are so happy yet have nothing in life...overall an eye-opening holiday, well worth visiting to see but we wouldn't go back..thank you Gambia.

I had a super experience at the Sunbeach Hotel! The staff is extremely friendly, always with a smile. The location was perfect for me, on a beautiful beach. When you walked out of the hotel, there were some souvenir shops right away. It is not near the busy tourist area "the strip", but that was not important to me. My biggest compliment goes to the animation team: Marie, Max, Ida, Lurdi, Musa, Almamy, Mohammed and Michael. They were absolutely fantastic; their enthusiasm and activities made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a nice hotel in a quiet and beautiful location, with great staff!

I had a lovely time at Sunbeach hotel. The rooms were nice and the food was good, but definitely the best thing was the entertainment. The A-team does an amazing job. They are always happy and friendly, they work hard and they are incredible dancers. Their efforts and fun energy really improved my experience in the hotel. Mohamed and Alimamy in particular made me laugh a lot and they were always looking out for everyone. Thank you all, it's been great!

A bit out of the way if you want to go down to the strip but nice if you just want to stop in the hotel and relax, food was nice considering your in Africa and all inclusive

I had never before been on an all-inclusive hotel holiday, but my friend and I wanted to escape the cold, miserable winter in London for sun, sea and relaxation... and SunBeach Hotel really delivered. All the rooms are set across the ground floor in different blocks, and they are decently sized and furnished. Be aware that they have been fitted with continental European plugs instead of the British ones we were expecting. The service from the pool and beach staff is great. They help you get set up with your towels, sun loungers, and parasols with minimal fuss. And the beach is wonderful. We even went for a dip in the sea - which wasn't that cold but the current did feel pretty strong so we didn't swim out much. There are people on the beach trying to get business and some asking for money, which is understandable. Be prepared to bring money and buy juices from the local juice bar. The pool isn't huge but is decently sized for a little swim. The pool area can get a little lively in the afternoons but still manages to feel quite relaxed. I had to put my earbuds in to read sometimes but it was fine. The buffet food was better than expected and the catering staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. We were never left hungry or disappointed. The evening entertainment is easy and delightful. My only recommendation is that the lighting in the hotel foyer and bar area should be gentler for the evening - more yellow lamps and fairy lighting instead of bright white strip lights. Other than that, I have no complaints! If you're looking for a sunny and relaxed getaway, this place is perfect.

Stayed for a week and already planning my next visit, the staff will go out of their way to help you enjoy your holiday yo the max. The entertainment team, (Fatima and her crew) work none stop. If you are thinking of staying here you don't have to, just book it, you will not be disappointed

I stayed at Sunbeach for 2wks leaving on 20th Dec...I must say from arriving at Reception an getting an Excellent introduction, incl. Safe Training!! My room was very good an well maintained, all staff from Meal service, Bar service an general service were Excellent an couldn't be more Helpful.been going to Gambia since 1990 so knew the weather would be Great an it didn't let me down..Well done to All an I've booked to return for 2wks from 21 Nov...would love room 214 again or one of 220/211..I'm sure you can assist an look 4ward to seeing you All again..well done...😊😊😎

We visit this hotel 4 times. We left the hotel 2 dec. The managers promesse us a lot when we left and told them that we come back at 10 jan 2020. When we arrived...nothing ..problem here, problem there...Very bad. The hotel is very good also the food and the rooms. The workers are super!! We do not come back because of the managers.Sorry.

Staff are friendly, food is good and varied, rooms and views are very good, wifi everywhere, beach is on doorstep...... DOWNSIDE......no kettle in rooms, power cuts (but only a few minutes).entertainment not very long(1hr) and not great. Overall......good.

The food was great and loved the beach location. The staff were amazing and really went over and above to ensure we had a great holiday. In particular Kaba and Delphine in the restaurant, Faba and Omar Jallow on the beach and entertainment and Euro on reception and Bobby at the pool.. Many thanks and we will return!

Relatively small hotel with one pool, excellent beach. Food is really good, especially the fish courses. Above all the staff is friendly and helpful. Can throughly recommend this place
