Staff uninviting with the exception of 3 members. Morale seems low. Bedding was too disgusting to sleep on . We were provided with new bedding the next day.Electricity and water supply intermittent. Only managed one hot shower in a week. Bathroom small dark and dirty. Hygiene in restaurant poor. Dirty tablecloths, poor lighting and sometimes only a tea light, so unable to see the food properly. Did not see the kitchen. Breakfast selection poor. Unable to sit on room terrace due to sewage smell. Day 7 of 14 had enough and moved to another hotel. Thankfully I had booked with Gambian experience who were so helpful. This about our 10th visit to Gambia and have never stayed in such a poorly run hotel.

I would like to say that this place is actually a fantastic stay with great staff. They were so welcoming, understanding and sweet. The only problem with this place is the taxi station outside the main gate and the bomstairs outside the gates to the beachπŸ˜” We would really recommend that the hotel did something with these guys, because we could not set one for outside the hotels borders without being overrun and attacked by people wanting us to give them business for almost dragging us in each arm . It made our stay unbearable and we felt like prisoners in the end. I would actually go so far and say that these outsiders are ruining a beautiful place

Except staff from the restaurant and a few at the reception, other guys were helpless! Note that one needs an extra charge to have AC even when included in the initial price after booking!

A nice and quiet place with a beautiful environment, has spacious sitting area with a pool. Has a restaurant with food available from the pool. Has a built praying area (mosque). Food was good and staff are friendly. The area is wheelchair friendly. The pool area has a small river-like ditch with a rope bridge ahead (perfect for the Instagram picture).

Beautiful garden and good service but few problems with our room though... first we had to change room because of the shower was broken. We got a better room but also there we had some problems. Still the area and people are sooo nice 😊

The perfect place 2 spend my holliday ! Staff is doing great as there alot changes been made sins last year, but all for the best ! The restaurant has improved, better food and way better service and food, house cleaning verry good and clean. When u need aircon u have 2 pay but I did not need that. I don't understand the complaining of some ppl as the new manager is doing a great job taking this hotel to a higher level !! I hope to return soon, keep up the good work guys

Great people, great location. At the beach near national park, but not in the middle of the tourist crowd. Better than other hotels there!

Fantastic place the lemon creek, my 2nd visit here and already planning my trip for later on in the year. The staff are lovely and the management extremely helpful. Food good, rooms kept to a high standard and nothing too much trouble for anyone. Strongly recommend this place to anyone wanting a lovely experienced in the Gambia.

Back for my 5th time in 2 years and alot has changed, but all for the best, all rooms have been painted again and upgraded with hairdryers, tv and dvd recorders, hot water whitin 1 minut as they changed water supply. But sometimes the electric goes out but the generaters will kick in. Food is great from breakfast too dinner at the restaurant or at the swimming pool. Rooms and bedding always nice and clean. A new terras is added just in front of the restaurant making it perfect for a drink or a lunch. The staff is nice and verry helpfull everywere you go from the nice ppl at reception all the way to the pool an gardeners. No idea why ppl keep complaining abt everything, there always will b something 2 complain abt but I think those ppl, they complain abt everything at home as well. The manager is making this 3 star hotel soon to b a 4 star hotel as yesterday they were awarded for the second time in a row for " best customer service" in the Gambia by Gambia experience so they must do some good things to get this award, even whit some ppl complaining, stop doing that or stay away from this perfect place at the Atlantic ocean, don't come back if u are only there 2 complete Lemoncreek, I love you and will b back soon

Our stay was pretty good. Housekeeping was our only issue. They would take our towels and forget to bring new ones. They would also forget to leave us soap or toilet paper. I often had to go to the front desk to ask for stuff they didn't give us. The staff in the restaurant was super friendly. The food was pretty good, and the price was good. So, we never had to leave to eat. Just FYI, leaving early was a bit of an issue. We had to check out around 7 AM and they had to call around to get the appropriate person to be at the front desk to send us on our way. My husband said the beach there was not good, but we were there in the beginning of April, which I hear isn't the best time to try to swim in the ocean in The Gambia. Do be aware there are monkeys, so be cautious carrying fruit to your room and be cautious leaving belongings on your balcony.

The property is beautiful and clean. The room I stayed in was large with a glass sliding door that led to a balcony. The only window is a small one in the bathroom. It would have been nice to have windows to let in cool air because I couldn't leave the glass door open at night while I slept. I did not pay for the AC because I think it should be included. The TV did not work which was not a big deal. I had my laptop to watch Netflix and YouTube. The hotel does not provide toiletries so be sure to bring your own soap, lotion, shampoo etc..There is internet but the password never worked for me. Luckily I always travel with my own wifi router. The buffet breakfast was the same each day and tasted good. They serve the food outside under a covered restaurant space. FYI- you will sweat while eating there. I don't drink alcohol but they serve it at the bar on the property. You can also order dinner at their restaurant. The pool is nice and deep. It was cleaned each morning. But bugs and leaves are abundant and always got in the water. The walk to the beach behind the hotel is easy and there are lounges. The employees are friendly and enjoyed my stay.

I spent a total of 14 days in this hotel, an excellent position on the Atlantic beach, the clear water of the pool, the spacious room, the bathroom ample. Daily cleaning, change of luggage and towels. A little disappointing is the meal offer, which is very sparing, and I mean breakfast. It's not all too creative. Maybe it was because we were out of season. There's also a great SPA that Lady of Sierra Leone is doing. Here we were happy. Nevertheless, I recommend this hotel and I would definitely return there.

This hotel is all about location - it overlooks a long sandy beach that stretches for kilometres in both directions. It was lovely sitting on the balcony at night listening to the waves crashing on the beach or during the day with a drink watching the world go by on the beach - although the beach was never actually busy. The hotel itself is looking a little tired but work was underway to renew it while we were there. The on-site restaurant's breakfast selection was a little poor when we initially arrived but as the number of guests increased so did the breakfast selection. We didn't try the lunch menu but evening meal selection was good and so was the food on the few occasions we tried the food. The pool was open but the bar wasn't so if you wanted a drink you could either go to the restaurant and buy one or someone would do that for you. No evening entertainment either but there were do few guests it didn't surprise me. There were several maintaince issues with the room we had that mentioning to reception may or may not get addressed during your stay but that's typically of Gambia. If you can overlook things like this then you'll have a comfortable, enjoyable stay.
