Wonderful hotel with great food, we upgraded to half board on the first day after talking to other guests and trying the food. If you like your food more spicy than what they usually make it for tourists you just ask and they will make it hotter. The hotel is nice and clean with wonderful staff that always is checking in on you, do not forget to give them a tip as they are worth more than they make. Their gardeners make a great job keeping the garden inside the hotel full of plants and flowers so there is allways a nice place to get away from the other guests and just relax a bit, don't forget to watch your fruits thou as a monkey may be fast to relive you of it.

This is Gambia, make sure your expectations are adjusted. The place is very clean. There are improvements needed, but nothing that put us off. Lovely people, great food and loads to do if relaxing isn't your thing. Remember this is a tipping culture, be prepared and make friends with a local who will help you settle in. We'll be back.

Everything was excellent: Clean rooms, beautiful surrandings inside hotel full of nature, beautiful beach. Nice breakfast. Good food and drinks. Extremely friendly staff, caring and kind. Recommend.

Beautiful little hotel, an oasis of calm. Lush green gardens. Friendly staff who are still the same people 10 years after our first visit. Close to Kotu Creek so good for some casual bird watching.

The hotel has beautiful tropical gardens with wildlife that includes monkeys, birds, tortoises. The rooms are airy and clean with a modern shower. What makes this hotel extra special are the friendly staff. I travelled for the first time as a lone female and the staff really made me feel welcome and safe. I would like to personally thank Bai, Muller and Sal for going the extra mile . I would highly recommend this hotel for solo travellers

Having an apartment with a plain simple bath/bed-room but a great view at the Kotu bridge from the balcony. It's a separate building apart from the hotel but guarded at night. You see the monkeys and several kinds of birds like falcon's and vultures. The entrance to the beach is merely 100 meters away where you will have to cross a square filled with shops and restaurants. We loved it.

Beautiful hotel, spaces are well thought and nature plays a main role in the setting. Amazing variety of gardens, plants, ponds and animals (including 3 tortoises, a number of frogs and occasional monkey and monitor lizard visits). The staff is kind and helpful, and the place is extremely quite, perfect for relaxation.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The setting,the wildlife great. Very quiet,no daytime or evening entertainment. I wouldn't recommend it for kids. Only ate breakfast here so can't comment on the restaurants

It is a beautiful little hotel, with very nice animal watching spots, a nice pool and very friendly staff. I would have given 5 stars, but there are some loud electricity generators nearby. When they are on, they produce a lot of noise. And that is really a pity if you like to enjoy the nature sounds in the evening while the sun sets. Luckily, they are not always running...

This is a hotel located on Kotu Creek. It has wonderful birdlife and is a few metres from Kotu bridge where the Bird Group operates canoes and wider trips across the region. Ask for Ansu Jawara (Prof) he's very knowledgable. The hotel has a gang of green vervet monkeys which maraud the grounds each day - very entertaining. Fruit bats and frogs are a continuous refrain by night. Local people 'Skinny Gambia' and 'Happy Bob' are very helpful. Feb 2023.

We have loved this hotel! If you want to get away from your normal life it is perfect! And the staff are just amazing!

Hi been here now for 3 holidays, room is clean and with new bedding, towels and curtains. Staff are amazing always happy to help. A bit basic but it is Africa. Locals are lovely just be firm but fair. Enjoy the sunshine coast.

Very pleasant place, fresh air, birds, nice home cooked food, tropical feel. Rooms spacious and bright, pool clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Entertainment not too much and with enjoyable music. Keep in mind the local uses and that food is still scarce for many people, so eat up your portions and try the local seasonal things.

Lovely hotel. Don't be put off by my 4*- I'm just being super picky. I'd come back to this hotel. You can't really go wrong with this. And a few other guests had said they had been to other hotels in the area and found this to be very lovely. Its conveniently placed. It has several fantastic bird watching platforms. And Beach is a 42 second walk from front door to sand. Clean and maintained. There is a LOT more to say, so I will update this later when I get the chance.
