This is a marvelous place to be if you're a nature lover, birds 🐦 and monkey πŸ΅πŸ’ lover especially the (red colobus)... All you a little cash (money) to pay an entrance fee, Groundnut/Bandanas for the monkeys to enable them come down to you.. It was amazing seeing the monkeys and birds with the aid of Mr Ebrima.

Love the monkeys. If you’re around, definitely visit the park. You can go by yourself and don’t need any accompanying but to help the local agree some arrangements with them so they can benefit too.

If you like monkeys you'll love this place. Pretty empty at the moment as tourists are depleted in numbers in the Gambia. The country has suffered badly during the lockdown so be prepared to be asked for money everywhere you go. You'll be asked to go with a guide for an extra D600 (Β£8.82) which we declined several times. A bag of peanuts is all you need sold at the entrance for D150 (Β£2.20). Exchange rates are better outside the hotels and airport so take Β£s with you. Cash exchanges are everywhere.

Visited Monkey Park area of the park where it was entertaining to watch the daily monkey activities going on. Park could definitely use some maintenance upgrades but for me it was still worth the visit.

A quite fake experience, a little stripe of forest, not particularly well-kept, a lot of monkeys in the first hundred meters, and even more tourists trying to feed them, then almost empty if you take the whole tour, just a couple of birds. Staff and food sellers at the entrance not particularly nice, trying to sell you everything as always. No need for a guide, you just can have the whole tour by yourself in about one hour.

This must be one of the best trips i have done! The monkeys are actually in their own habitat they are not caged in any way. They are absolutely loads of monkeys here, and the babies are just absolutely adorable you can feed the mokeys they sell nuts at the reception (a little tip, i took bananas still in their skins cut up in my bag, they absolutely love them) it was just amazing, and a trip i would do again and again! ❀️

Monkey park great to see and feed the monkeys. If you have children they will love it. On your way there everyone will try to sell you peanuts you can buy them at park which means your supporting park and volunteer workers. You must have guide you tip them at end. Don't believe what they say about size of park as it is less than half the size now because of construction of new Chinese center being built. They tell you it can take 2-4 hrs to get round park not true 1.5 hrs that's if you stop and take your time.

This is still a beautiful forest, despite losing half to conference center and constantly under threat of destruction(development) by those who should be ensuring it's protection. The entrance is now a dust road running from beach up to highway other side of conference center.

It’s a part of Monkey forest (but monkeys seems to stay closer to the entrance) and pretty pleasant walk. We tried to reach beach but unfortunately the path has end and as I am afraid of snakes I decided to walk back (yes there could and probably are!). I didn’t take a guide this time as it is super easy to walk there and it was my second time.

Monkeys are very friendly. They don't stole anything expect if you have peanuts in your hands. You can buy peanuts from the same place you get the tickets. Tickets costs about D200 per person, but if you are student in gambia or under 12 years old you get to see mobkeys for free. The forest is full of monkeys, but in the past ther were cut off part of the forest for building.

It's nice and lots of monkeys live there. It surprises me that the staff encourages you to buy peanuts or bananas, claiming that otherwise you will not see the monkeys. It's not true. Anyway, it's not good to feed animals in the reserves!

Enjoyable walk through woods and beachside forest. Green vervet monkeys in abundance. Bring sliced up bananas. Red colobus are fewer in number and prefer peanuts, but not if the vervets get there first! Good small craft market with great paintings by 'Picasso'.

They take the entrance fee (D150) and then almost force you to pay twice that for a guide (which is absolutely unnecessary). You have to be very strict and assertive to the personel. Monkeys are cool but people working there are simply scammers.

Amazing place, so many monkeys to meet and feed and if you are lucky the guids will get the monkey to climb on your shoulder for a picture. Truely a beautiful place.
