This is the best hotel in Gambia. This is the first hotel in my life I feel mindblowing. Good quality of breakfast. Rooms very nest and clean. Good WiFi speed. Swimming Poole unbelievable. Sea facing sun set and sun bath place. Everything wonderful here.

In 2001 room prices were still affordable for a common tourist, rooms and service were quite OK though the hotel was by far not as large and luxurious as what it looks like at present. Anyway, after our arrival, we settled in our room and decided to have a quiet cool drink on the garden circular terrace with swimming pool. Later on we went to lay down a bit in the garden but after some time I decided to have a stroll through the garden. I shot a picture of the pink oleander, of my wife while she was reading a book and further away, in and near a greater rectangular swimming pool I shot the picture of a 2 meter long monitor lizard that had come to take a swim and was frightening the nearby guests away. I then left the hotel garden towards the Senegambia beach (that was hardly commercially exploited by the hotels at that time) and noticed an impressive large tree where 2 teenaged boys seemd to have installed some kind of camp or "open air man-cave" with the companionship of all kind of rubbish nearby. I had a brief chat with them and made a small series of pictures of them, then I continued my short walk on the beach and shot some more pictures.

The location of this hotel is in Senegambia a well known place in Banjul by its huge selection of restaurants bars.. The hotel itself is a very old construction that is not well maintained, the rooms are okay, internet is very very bad, the electricity goes out a lot and finally you barely get water in the showers, pressure is very low. The swimming pool area is deserted and not maintained at all. Over all it's not worth the money

Very friendly and supportive staff; nice location. Very poor internet service, and the rooms need to be upgraded to meet international standards. Pleasant experience nonetheless 😌

Horrible place, don't stay there. Everything about it (except staff) is bad

Great service, excellent workers but recovering from Covid-19 appears slow for my liking.

Very nice location, but the hotel and amenities appears rather worn down overall. I think it needs some big investment to get this place back in shape.

Decent place, really annoyed with the room lighting very very bad. Had a deluxe room. Outside it is nice. Pool is not blue water and they rent out the pool, so weekend can be crowded

One of the oldest hotels in the The Gambia. Competition has made it to lose some of its glamour but still holding its own and in its own class. A cool place to hold your conferences and meetings.

Lovely grounds. Lovely staff. Rooms need updating. Drinks are very expensive, almost 3 times the price of some of the bars on the strip. Hence they are always empty. Would recommend, but wouldn't drink here.

The setting of the hotel is very nice. A lot of green, a nice pool, to the ocean it's a 2 minute walk. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There were some short power outages when we were here but nothing long lasting or serious. The rooms are nice but you can tell they have seen better times. Also, the WiFi was very unreliable.

Very serene environment. Carefully mowed lawns. Nice scene, having peacocks and birds playing around the lawns. Nice pool and beautiful beach view. Good food and drinks. Much love from 🇬🇭

Kairaba would always be like a home to me, the housekeeping was immaculate and always cordial and friendly staff. The management was helpful and went out of the way to make my stay the best experience I could have possibly imagined after several years away from my beloved country.
