It’s a cool island. But it is gradually reducing in size.

Centre for slave trade back in the heyday of this horrific activity, island renamed to stimulate tourist interest. Entertaining open boat ride to island but it's just a few ruins. Nearby museum is more informative. Good for a day trip from Barra.

A historic place that every person should visit to get a sense of man’s inhumanity to man. Slavery in all its forms is evil. This site must be preserved at any cost to remind us of the suffering ancestors went through.

A very historic Island. It is the land of Kunta Kinteh, a famous slave captured from the Gambia and transported to the USA as a slave. The place offers a vivid explanation how slaves were captured and and keep in this horrible place before been transported.

History reminds us about our past, we should try to remember that time will come to pass and we will also become history, so lets try to become good part of the history.
