It's the national stadium and it attracts a lot of people. It's so far the biggest football pitch in the country. Though old, but it is still in good shape. Nice place to be. The only thing about the place is that: Gambians are always saddened there. Instead if winning most matches, we only win some.

It's a lovely and nice place for all sport activities... It's also good for music concert, live performance and many more... It's was lovely displaying my musical talent on the stage.

As the only stadium in the Gambia and it is call the independence stadium. It is where all our international games are hosted and most of our divisional leagues. It is situated in Bakau. The stadium also has a hostel call friendship hostel. If the hostel in renovated.it can accommodate all the hostess Gambia football, basketball, volleyball teams can have.

We got a taxi arranged by smiley tours based outside the Ocean Bay Hotel & Resort the taxi driver ended up coming In with us to watch the first game there are games on most weekdays at 21:00 and a second one at 23:00 it’s a very inexpensive holiday experience and all the local fans are so happy to see you there and ask you which of the teams your there to support etc

It's an impressive building, no question. We were there for COVID testing which was not a pleasant experience. Approximately 70 persons waiting with almost no distancing and no one caring about it. Especially the Toubab tourists weren't even wearing masks. Someone should take care of that situation, otherwise there is a high probability of getting infected at that place.

Independence stadium is the largest ,popular ,place in the Gambia ,where all large occasions held and it can contains more than five hundreds thousands people at a goals.

There was not any games or festival, at the time of my visit. Went for, PCR testing. Needing for travels.

It's very old but attract a lot of people during sports invents and many more....but needs renovation...!!!!!
