Horrendous!!! The sandwich was horrible. I ordered a BLTA and it has 2 small pieces of bacon no avocado and the tomatoes were soggy, Lettuce was dead AND It was eaten. Worse sandwich ever.

This place is extremely convenient for the typical UMD student who wants a good sandwich. It is fresh and quality food. There is a sign in the shop that guarantees three things: freshness, quickness, and customer service. Unfortunately, freshness was the only thing they achieved. Right when we walked in we were greeted kindly however, when we ordered our sandwiches we were disappointed. While the staff never said anything rude or demeaning, the condescending/tired/irritated attitude that the staff had was transparent. Granted it was late and they were closing soon, you have to attempt to be bad at customer service. Also, the sandwiches took a good bit of time to make. This was puzzling seeing that we didn’t order anything crazy; after all it is only a sandwich. So the amount of time we waited was filled with awkward silence while we pondered what was taking so long. What a shame, this place had potential.

I am AMAZED by their employee's attitude and I am shocked that Pot Belly allows this behavior! I just got off the phone with the General Manager and they confirmed that this employee described down below is NOT a manager but a team lead! That's not the same! I will be talking with the General Manager and District Manager furthermore! When I first arrived the lighter brown lady w/the curly hair that I gave my order to and rung up my order at the register was professional. I asked for a bag please because I had to walk a while, and I was also buying other items at the store. She said yes and gave me the bag. The lady at the sandwich toppings spot with the pink durag on (which isn't professional looking at all) made a remark to the young lady at the register about the simple fact that she gave me a bag. While making these remarks to the staff she's looking at me. So I said to her that I asked the young lady for a bag. So she said that "they typically don't give out bigger bags for only one sandwich". But said this time she'll "let me have one". By this time I already have the bag so idk why she even made these comments w/a rude disposition. My whole thing is that's something to be debated amongst each other. Not in front of customers especially when I am trying to order/pay for my food. I moved down to the pink durag lady and I proceeded to give my toppings for my sandwich. I said what I'll have on my sandwich... a few secs go by I asked "did I mentioned that I wanted lettuce, hot peppers?" Pink durag lady proceeds to give an attitude. Nevertheless she asks me "do I want my sandwich cut?" I said "NO. Don't cut it, I'll cut it when I get home". She looks at me, takes the knife & cuts the sandwich. All within the 5 seconds of asking me!! So she looks at me and says that she just cut the sandwich. At this point she's looking at me and I asked her "so why did you ask me if I wanted my sandwich cut? You heard me say no. Then proceed to cut my sandwich anyway?". She replied "it's outta habit" and started laughing. Honesty, I didn't see anything funny - yet thing things I can come up with wouldn't be too nice. So I ask for my sandwich and just told her that every time I come in here she gives me a hard time. So she asks "when"? I'm not gonna go back and forth with someone. So I asked her to hand me my sandwich. I already paid for all my items and just ready to go. So she says "I don't like you!". I told her that she "doesn't even know me to not like me". IM NOT okay that POTBELLY would even think it's okay or even acceptable that an employee talks to me like that! I told her she was "outta line and unprofessional" and she told me she was a manager there. She told me to "never come back and that they will not be serving me!". I told her that I haven't did ONE thing for her to be disrespectful to her! I also mentioned that she can't tell me to not come back! I am AMAZED by her attitude and I am shocked that Pot Belly allows this behavior! I just got off the phone with the manager and they confirmed that this employee is NOT a manager but a team lead! That's not the same!

Very friendly staff. I had the skinny pair, Turkey and swiss sandwich with a cup of the tomato soup. The sandwich was delicious. I enjoyed the soup but was not the greatest. Parking is a challenge, you have to pay for it and there is not a lot of parking around.

Had the Chicken Pot Pie soup and the Mac & Cheese. Both were full of creamy flavour. Would definitely order them again.

Summary: Picked-up for Catering Order - Charged 25% more than the quote we were provided with no explanation. Sandwiches were good. We hosted a party and so ordered a lot of sandwiches and salads. We picked up the order (no delivery). We were quoted a price and accepted. We were told it included tax and tip. We had a friend pick up the food. When we saw the charge on our credit card, it was just over 25% more than what we were provided for our quote. We have inquired regarding the price discrepancy, but it has been over a week and no answers have been provided. The sandwiches and salads were good and were packed well. We just wanted to leave a review for anyone looking to pick up large orders from here. Be prepared to pay more than the provided quote.

The service here was really good. One should definitely try the pizza sandwich. It's a nice hybrid sub and is filling. Everything is made and baked fresh and is served piping hot, unlike Subway. The ambience is great with quirky posters and pictures all around. Ideal place for lunch.
