I have been coming here for 35 years, starting when the Y was in a small facility down by the paint store. it has helped me significantly to maintain my health and fitness, and to recover from a few surgeries that I’ve had during those 35 years.

Great selection of classes and activities. Wonderful instructors who care about members.

I really enjoy playing pickleball at the Kennett Y courts. I usually play with my own group and the area is great. Shade, lights, very relaxing. They need more courts!!!

Great staff, really solid collection of equipment, good amount of space. However, awful people. People who go to this location are remarkably rude. You could have a barbell on your back and someone would take a plate off it. No one has manners. Also, there is a somewhat large segment of people who record themselves while flexing in the mirror and get upset when you have to walk in front to get to your locker.

Excellent group fitness instructors and a real sense of community. I wouldn't say the locker rooms are luxurious but they have what you really need and are clean. Free coffee and tables to sit at foster community.

The swimming class instructor is wonderful. My kiddo loves the class.

We love the Kennett Area YMCA. The staff is amazing and the facilities are outstanding.

Always a pleasure to visit the Y in Kennett. The staff are all so pleasant!!

My daughter had a great time at summer camp. She enjoyed making new friends and learning the core values of the YMCA. The counselors were all fantastic. I also love the before/after school programs they offer for the local public schools. These programs are really helpful to working parents and the kids have a blast!

Look forward to visiting the YMCA every morning for my lap swimming. Everyone is so friendly, the pool and locker room are very clean and I’ve made friends that I see socially outside of the YMCA. It’s a place I feel connected to my community.

Swimming pool, classes, nice Gym and great staff :) One improvement opportunity longer childcare hours in weekdays (till 8:00 pm instead of 7:30) and Sunday childcare hours

We are doing the parent/child swim lessons with our 8 month old and almost 3 year old. They look forward to it every week and so do we! The pool is so warm, the instructor is friendly and greets our kids by name every week!

I was hesitant in the beginning to join the Y because I was out of shape and hadn't done much exercise except to walk my dogs. I felt like I'd be out of place. But this couldn't have been farther from the reality. I feel so comfortable there. Members of all ages are there to utilize the facilities and take advantage of the community. The staff of the Kennett Square YMCA is friendly, helpful, and encouraging.  No matter where you are in your wellness/fitness journey, there are knowledgeable staff to help you to achieve your goals. I especially appreciate the full range of exercise equipment and fitness classes, and the attention the staff pays to sanitizing the facility to keep us healthy.
