Drinking water is the problem in this coffee shop. because they have a water filter but there don’t have cups or glass for Drinking water. We want to ask the staff to the water glass. They will give empty glass .

Slow service, that’s the first thing I would say. Some of the people behind the counter could move a bit faster. Food is good, lots of room for improvement. Lots of bakery goods and cakes. We had the patties, some cheese sandwiches, and ice coffees. The place is very clean and people are constantly cleaning.

A very convenient place to have food or snacks. Parking available behind the royal mall. They have provided easy access to the coffee shop via elevator and stairs. All types of snacks and drinks available. Food was ok, but nothing special about it. Common washroom facilities from the mall is available.

Disappointing Experience at Royal Garden Mall Restaurant - Seafood Fried Rice and Cheesy Spaghetti Recently, my family and I decided to have lunch at the Royal Garden Mall Restaurant, it turned out to be a rather disappointing experience, especially when it came to the food we ordered. Upon arriving, we ordered cheesy spaghetti for my daughter, , but there was no item listed as cheesy spaghetti on the menu. we asked customized one. they provided it. Next, we ordered three servings of seafood fried rice, vegetable chopsuey, and one egg fried rice for the adults. Regrettably, the waiting time for our meals was exorbitant. It took over 40 minutes until our food was finally ready. Moreover, the restaurant's lack of kid-friendly amenities was evident. They didn't have any children's chairs, Most family-friendly establishments usually offer kid-sized cutlery, but it seems like the Royal Garden Mall Restaurant was either unaware of this or simply indifferent to catering to children's needs. Furthermore, the quality of the seafood fried rice was far from satisfactory. They served three portions of seafood fried rice on a single large plate, While the dish was listed as "seafood" fried rice, we were to find that there were only four prawns in the entire plate. Any other seafood ingredients were practically nonexistent, I suggest changing your Menu card from seafood fried rice to egg-fried rice with just two prawns. Overall, the taste of the food was underwhelming, and the seafood fried rice was, by far, the worst I have ever had. I have experienced seafood fried rice in Sri Lanka, Thailand, India, and Lao on numerous occasions. but the version served at Royal Garden Mall Restaurant did not live up to its name or expectations. vegetable chopsuey also same . The only saving grace during our visit was the attentive service provided by the waiter. However, good service alone cannot make up for the overall disappointing experience we had with the food. In conclusion, I cannot recommend the Royal Garden Mall Restaurant to anyone seeking seafood fried rice or cheesy spaghetti. The lackluster food service and insufficient attention to children's needs left us with a negative impression. My family and I will not be returning to this restaurant in the future, and I hope that they take this feedback into consideration to improve their offerings and overall dining experience.

Worst customer service. No price tags in the showcases and the dummies who works at the place has no idea what’s inside the food as well. They don't know how to talk to a customer, and they definitely could sell items for the prices they want, as no prices are mentioned. Food is good, and that’s the reason we returned as well. But, for the second time also, we got the same worst experience and the worst dine in experience. Staff people are just like dummies and their attitudes are the worst we ever experienced. If any of the heads of the so called place sees this, please do give attention about the people who works to your place. As your food is good, in vein you are loosing customers because of your dummy staff. Would never recommend this place to anyone here I have attached a photo of one of the showcases without prices and their names as well. Worst staff ever. Also we had to be in the que for many times as the dumb lady hasn’t write the bill clearly mentioning what we asked for. Terrible.

A good place to have a coffee. Foods are clean. Variety of foods are available including cakes, short eats, plain tea, coffee etc. Breakfast is available as a buffet. Washrooms are available. Parking is available. Service is good. Staff is friendly. Price is somewhere around the high range.

The quality of cofee shop food has been drastically reduced now..have to say it has been one of the favourites to have a snack in the evening but nowadays the quality is not worth.. For example the creamy chicken pie which was a top choice now has no chicken in it. They serve sandwiches which looks as cheese inside but really is a big chunk of astra in the same appearance.. Really dissapointed what happens to quality places nowadays.. Hope big time they would improve.. Really dont want to see a good buisness in the past go down like this.. Perhaps they think because the buisness is the same (crowdwise) no point in keeping the quality..But it wont be the case unless they improve the quality..

Tastes Amazing! Best cakes here but the service and atmosphere feels awful. There are not enough staff for the amount of customers they get and there are only few tables available. Cakes are very tasty but overall I wouldn't recommend dining in here because of the awful service. Take out is recommended. Update : Service has changed for the better. I would recommend this place for a great tea break in the evening.(idk about the atmosphere when I visited for the second time there because the place was almost empty)

Only spend near 2 minutes.when we asking about what are the drinks you have?a lady answered nescafe තියනවා ෆෘට් ජූස් තියෙනවා අන්නාසි අඹ තියෙනවා.But the name of this is Coffee Shop or some thing.Poor customer service and very unclean lady was there.She needs to brush her teeth first 🙄 🤮 I know those words are very harsh but I was type my opinion.Coffee Shop means Coffee shop and need to change this name as Pastry shop or something else. Royal Mall is a Good Hotel and service provider but this type of issues will make a huge bad experience for a customer.

The chef has not even seen food. Ordered hot butter cuttlefish, the chef has not even seen or tasted what hot butter cuttlefish is. Devilled beef and seer fish is good, fried rice is good, other than that mushroom and the hot butter cuttlefish was terrible.

Terrible service by the staff at the coffee shop. This doesn’t apply to all as there are a few staff members who assist customers really well and the rest of them especially at the service counters are extremely rude and they ignore customers intentionally. I have noticed this behavior several times. It is always repeated by the same personnel and i wish i could address their names here but unfortunately i do not know their names. The management should take stern action in this regard as this is a reputed mall the behaviour of such personnel is tarnishing the good name.

Cakes are low standard.. even the small kids can make those cake .. they sell cheese cake and there we can't find any cheese. All there dessert items are worst .. not recommend anyone to eat it

Hi, Please make a note on below and please work on improving since it is pathetic how customers have to suffer to get a simple service. 1. I went to the food court last night to buy dinner at 7.30 and I could leave the premises at 8.00 it takes considerable time to get food (take away) 2. At 7.30 the cashier informed the other not take any noodle orders cuz their out of Noodles. Dinner service would have started from 6.30 and by 7.30 noodles were over ? 3.I bought a Kottu portion and a mixed noodle portion and to see no gravy nor chillie paste nothing was included. 4. Today in the morning I went to the cafe and bought a pineapple juice. There was no pineapple no sugar it was just WATER !!!! 5. Please check the table settings. Chairs were kept near the walls where noone could sit or even move. It is hard for everyone but as an organization which sells food be more responsible and provide the service for at least the money you take from people. Utterly disappointed and I will never recommend this Hotel to anyone.

The top floor À la carte/buffet restaurant is quite good. Good portions, tasty food and very fair pricing.

The price is very reasonable. There is a good staff. Especially there are many kinds of cakes, very tasty. Cleanliness is very good. Air-conditioned so there is no dust inside. But they don't charge too much

I would leave zero stars if I could. The place is horrible. This was an awful experience amongst all the wonderful places we visited in Kandy area. We were three and I ordered a piece of Swiss roll. There were plastic spoons lying on the table. I asked for a spoon as the piece was large. I couldn’t eat that large piece with hands as it’s not safe as I’m pregnant. One of the hostesses was rude and said they were unable to give me one of those spoons and I had to eat without a spoon. 😳 I was shocked. I was very hungry. 😞 Freaking rude. Then I asked if they had any other spoons. I was given a rude look and a metal spoon which was freaking oily and dirty. 🤮 If you really care about your health, you shouldn’t eat at this place. This wouldn’t happen in Australia 🇦🇺 ( where I live) for sure. People are way kinder and more polite . Please put your customers first. That’s what we see all over the world. One of good place to have sip of coffee or tea with snacks. Good place for after long day/with family and friends. They have good varieties but selections are black and white. They need to add new things to their showcase if not we will not stop this place for everyday, on the way back to home. I'm not hesitate to tell this place is clean and tidy. My favourites are fish roll, deviled chicken bun and tea. I believe they will update their showcase.

As a traveller I'm not able to recommend this place. Place is clean and prices are adorable. Thats good. But taste is not as I expected. Also, they don't have good meal plans, just have few.

Royal garden contains with lot of shopping options for quick dinning and for main meals too, staff also very friendly and service is up to standard. Wine Store also available for local liquors and for foreign liquors. Parking facilities also available for around 100 vehicles. But during weekends and when they have special events this parking facility seams not enough. Also this place seams like crowded most of days.

Stopover at the coffee shop for a quite bite in the early morning on arriving at Kandy. The local shop is at the side of the mall and there are few car parking lots behind the mall. The shop bake its own pastry, cake, etc and offer a simple buffer morning breakfast spread. The place is clean but not very spacious inside. Service is acceptable and friendly. Food is accpetable standard as well. Good place for a break from the long drive from Colombo and to have a decent hot meal.

Went for lunch. It took about 40mins to serve the foods. The portion is some what big than the other places. Food was tasty and worth for the price. Wash rooms are average in condition.

It is a busy place. You have to drive into an avenue to reach there. Menu is not varied. Rice and curry/fried rice are available in the main menu for the lunch. However, the portions are huge and tasty. Soft drinks too are abailable. Quick service. Both take-aways and dining available. South Indian food is available after 3pm. The interior is a bit dark. Two tables are set outside under a tree while the rest of the cafe is sheltered. A little mall is located in front of the cafe which belongs to the same management. The cafe is highly recommended for a substantial meal for a reasonable price.

Not the best experience I've had. Friendly staff , good food , but what's most disappointing is that there is no WiFi for guests so that's the star lost above , other than that , it would be great for overnight stays , partially recommended!!

Can't believe people still come here to eat! Food are basically tastless.. Fruit juice was reasonably ok but the short eats are just flour.. Will not go there ever again.
