A good place to dine in. Portion is good and the prices are reasonable. Also the place is very clean. Overall a good experience and highly recommended.

Update 2022/8/11 Tastless food , small portion , Never visit again 👎 Earlier their lyons special rice was more than enough for two persons but now its enough only for one person (Rs 1860) there were only 2 prawns , one small piece of cuttle fish. There were no crabs also. Never ever visit again 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 Update: 2022/3/17 The quantity and quality of their lyons special seafood fried rice has decreased. No crabs were there and the potion also smaller than earlier. 🥲

When compared with the other mixed chopsuey rice in kandy restaurants, this is not bad but there were not much beef portion.If you wish to take a meal peacefully, this is not the suitable place.

We had nice experience with Aniwatta Lyon’s Cafe. Open kitchen Concept. Awesome Delicious foods. Specially Cheese Kottu and Thai mixed seafood fried rice. Bit Small parking slots. But can manage 4 Vehicles. Superb friendly staff even Security guy also. Highly recommended place to have lunch and Dinner near Kandy area.

I had beef fried rice,it was amazing!!

Ordered via uber eats. Garlic bread for the soups were missing. Beef was so tough, you could not chew it. Soups were very bland. Only water and starch. Only the spinach was good.

Totally disappointing!!! We had a few portions of fried rice , and it was totally worthless for the money. Lyon's did a marvellous job earlier but now it is useless. Worst meal I had for quite some time.

Went yesterday for a meal. Not really impressed about their food. Pretty average taste. Compare to price its not worthy. For kottu, they put kottu potion into microwave to defrost as its not fresh roti. Cheece taste little good. Leon special rice and noodles one potion 1800 can share 2 people but its not really specialy taste. They will make a normal plain fried rice and topped mix chopsuy. Some people will get 2 boiled egg and some people one. They served what ever availability. Not to the standard Hope they will increase thire food quality more in future

I’m very sorry to say this. I have taken foods from here for a long time. It was very good few months ago. But now the fried rice is not worth for the money and there is no vegetables in the fried rice at all. Dear manger, please consider this and improve the service and the quality of the foods. Thank you.

Delicious dishes cooked in a sparkling clean kitchen. As you walk in, you can tell immediately that they take care of hygiene. I felt very comfortable and safe to dine in here. They have skilled chefs and the food is super delicious. From the first bite I knew that they use the freshest ingredients. I went alone but it would be great to bring friends and family. Staff is very friendly and professional. I loved it !!

Not satisfied with the service. I called them and placed an order but when I reach there after 20 minutes to collect the order it was not ready and they started preparing the order at that time. First you have to trust the customer to get more business. Not recomending to any one.

I was pleasantly surprised after being recommended to check it out😮😲 (Aniewatte Branch). The Menu was a nice surprise... I had to re-check if they did have what was listed. Ordered, a Fresh Orange Juice followed by Lamb Chops with Mint Sauce & Mashed Potato. It was yummy 😋 (I do have a ‘but’ 😳😳 ... I would have liked The Lamb Chops to have been served with more MINT SAUCE. It’s all to do with MINT SAUCE 👏👏. So, a sumptuous portion of 👆would have done justice; as opposed to a TSP of 👆) Wish you great success.

The Lyons special is to die for. My father and I come all the way from Colombo just for this. My father and his friends used to enjoy the special during his school days. Great staff.

It is a great restaurant to visit in kandy, first we get doubtful about the potion but the potions are so enough to have by two. Taste also awesome. We ordered mixed mongolian rice which is having beef and pork itself. The service also good by the workers and they are so friendly with us. The price is reasonable. It cost 1190. We have to pay for the service charge also, and if you have a water bottle with you its good. Because the water bottle cost there.

I took special rice. It was cost Rs 2270. But the meat portion is not enough. As the menu mentioned there should be beef, pork, chicken and seafood. But on the meal there was no pork, chicken 3,4 small pices, 3 pieces of beef, 2 pieces of prawns only. So overall meat portion is Not enough and Not worthy compered to other restaurants.

Food is good. Customer service is not up to the standard. We had to wait more than 10mins for the side dishes. 😑

Have been trying the aniwatta branch for some time now. Doughnuts are to die for!!! But you got to get there fast otherwise you will return empty handed. Cakes and other main food items are also tasty and prices are reasonable. Service staff are friendly and some of them meet 5star levels of customer care. Goodluck!

Very disappointed with the service at aniwatte outlet. An order was placed at 1.00pm and they had agreed to keep it ready in half an hour. I went at 2.00pm still they had not prepared it. Again I called them at 4.00pm to get the meals and sorry to say even after 3hrs they had not prepared the meals. Very disappointed with the services extended by lyons restaurant aniwatte and even the staff were not polite enough to accept their mistake. The mgmt should know with the competitive market trade maintaining service standards is vital to survive in the market.

Highly recommended overall as a food outlet around kandy

An old establishment serving Kandy for over 6 decades. The original location outside the kandy town is under repairs but a relatively new outlet is operational in Suduhumpola. The staff updated us that they have two more outlets in Kandy. Desert choice was disappointing. The food, atmosphere, location and service is excellent. Well worth a visit to reminisce the old haunt.

Food is ok. Not much tasty but acceptable. Prices on the higher side. Waiting time is low.

The renovated restaurant looks and the food is great but the pricing is unrealistic, especially right now when people don't want to spend too much. Realistic marketing will mean they don't have to close down like a lot of Kandy outlets in the past.

Had childhood memories of this restaurant when it was near the police station. Mixed grill was the famous Dish we ever had for its quality and Quantity Was disappointed this time around may be my expectations were high

Definitely not worth the price. Shame, because I'd heard Lyon's had good food a while back. Paid 1200 for a seafood fried rice that barely had any veggies. Never ordering again.

I have ordered from here for a long time. And I really loved the set menu rice. But lately the quality has reduced so much and it was so not worth for the money. The portion got reduced too but the price got increased so much. DISAPPOINTED!!

My first experience here was Kottu and it was worst... I have be honest on that.... But the follow up by the management and the customised service after that was superb! Rice items are very good, tastey.. But you should ask them for the gravey if u need. Overall I really appreciate their genuine help and interest to deliver good food on custormized arrangement....the special care they took to deliver for family on quarantine was beyond the appriciation... Good luck!

These guys have the best kottus I've ever eaten. But the fried rice and other stuff are not so good though.. but the kottu 😍
