The process of tea making was explained extremely well, start from the leaves extraction to the final product. I never knew there are so many flavours in tea! My favourite one was the Rose and Vanilla 💕 We tasted so many flavours in Black tea, Green tea and Milk tea. I even bought one for my later consumption. It was a great experience learning about the tea making process!

We stopped there because our driver took us there. Apparently he told us it was the best one to visit because after a 10 minutes informative tour though the factory they let you try 8 different types of teas. The factory seemed small and only partially working because of the tourism, but it felt a bit weird. There is no tea plantation there as such which is the thing that we wanted to actually see. The tea tasted OK, but it was way too much. I only had a couple of sips and we left all the cups there. Prices were ridiculous even for western standards. Go there in case you are in the mood for drinking a lot of tea. Otherwise go to an actual tea plantation

This place too is a government operated factory which grows different types of tea. Only after visiting this factory did I know that there were so many exotic varieties of tea available. Everything is 100% natural with no artificial conditioning added. The tea that they gave as sample was the best I had ever tasted. The cost is very high but if you are a tea lover, then the cost should not deter you from taking a pack with you home.

This is nicely arranged small tea ☕ selling outlet (and a museum). There is a small parking 🅿 space. Service is average. There are limited variety of products available here. Comparatively products are bit over priced. But they have 500g and 1kg packets without expensive packing .

As soon as you arrive , they show you some of the different types of tea plants and how they process the tea leaves to arrive at the different varieties of tea. You get to see the various machinary and processing units etc involved in the making of tea. You get to taste different flavours of tea. You can also buy some from their in-house store.

Amazing visit and tour around the tea factory. Nimesha gave us a very informative walk through the tea processing plant and then we took a tea tasting session. The entry is free of charge and we bought Sri Lanka's special white and golden tea. Very lovely spot to visit when in Kandy. More reviews @myra.recommends

The tour here was lovely and very informative. I was able to ask a lot of additional questions to which our tour lady answered. It really does make you appreciate the process behind a great cuppa tea. We also got to try out 8 different teas and smell fruity ones (some of which are absolutely divine), and the cafe setting was lovely. For me the only downside is that I feel the tea is too expensive. We had already seen other places in Sri Lanka offering great tea so decided to hold out and buy from them. We did leave a tip though as the tour lady was lovely.

Got a free and quick tour around the place and then we got 8 different teas for testing (4 black teas in different heaviness, white tea, golden tea, green tea and afternoon tea). You don't have to buy anything and they don't force you to. Nice and quick tour!

The free tour is both informative and enjoyable. The different stages of making tea are witnessed followed by a visit to the shop where their products can be bought. Unfortunately, the the prices are prohibitive and hence 3 stars only.

Entire tea making process was explained, tea testing done. Vanilla flavoured green tea bought. Also, neat and clean washrooms.

Very nice guide with good English, guide is for free. Bought some tee to help out after the covid situation for the past years.

Very friendly guide. You can take pictures on the tour of the processing plant but I think most activities occur at night so you won't see active tea processing. It's still informative and our guide answered all our questions (in English). After the tour you are given free samples of tea to drink. It is pricey to purchase, and you can negotiate but you'll probably still be paying more than normal.

A very nice destination to get good handpicked tea with different qualities & types of teas. They will show you the steps they are following to produce the different types of tea. They have a very nice show area upstairs where you can buy your favorite type of tea with reasonable prices. Their products are packed in a nice way so you can use it as a souvenir. All the staff were very welcoming & friendly. It’s recommended for anyone visiting Kandy.

Certainly not cheap to purchase here but we did anyway purchase 50g of white tip tea for LKR4000 mainly because the lady who toured us was very patient and informative, also we had a good tasting of 8 teas. Not a bad experience, however do note that their plantation is not onsite, only the factory and shop.
