The appearance looks exactly like a castle. Nice place to take a rest and to have a cup of tea or coffee. The place has a beautiful garden which they have maintained very well. There are different varieties of tea, green tea and coffee to try out. A bit expensive but worth the price. Great customer service. In addition to the restaurant, there is a shop where we can buy good tea options, tea cups, etc. Devon waterfall is also visible from the rooftop of the castle. Definitely worth visiting again.

This is a must visit place when you are en route via Hatton thalawakale Road. Located conveniently on roadside you simply can't mis this place. Ample parking space is available with wheel chair accessibility. Once entered the ambiance is quite nice. Staff is very helpful. You must enjoy their range of tea pots and their signature cakes. There is a lunch menu also, so if you are planning for a lunch give the order first then explore the place. There is a seperate kids area too. There is a large collection of various teas which you can choose from to buy seperately. Quality of tea is superb and their lunch also value for the money. Recommended place.

One of the best places to taste finest tea. They have a fantastic collection of flavors to try as well as to buy. You can have main meals also. Friendly staff. Clean and clam environment. Do forget to climb the tower and witness the natural beauty of the area.

The Tea Castle producing a rich and flavorful cup. Although, I was a bit disappointed by the limited selection of other varieties. Their is a small tea museum that offers interesting insights into the Sri Lanka tea, and a beautiful waterfall view, which added to the overall experience. While the tea on offer was excellent, I would have liked to see a wider range of options to choose from. Overall, a great spot for a cup of tea, with a lovely view and an educational experience, but limited options for those seeking a more diverse selection of teas.

The tea castle is a beautiful tea shop and a view point at St Clair. It's built like a castle and you can climb up to the terrace for a nice view. You can have tea or coffee at the restaurant while there is also a tea leaves shop where you can buy different varieties of tea from. The tea served was excellent and they also sell good tasters if you want to try different kinds of tea. There is also a big James Taylor statue inside

A great place to visit if you're passing by Thalawakale. Very good service provided on food and drinks. Nice sceneries can be captured if you get to the roof top. Descent pricing as well!

My recent visit to Tea Castle left me thoroughly impressed and eager to share my experience with others. This charming establishment ticks all the right boxes, making it an ideal destination for tea lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. One of the standout features of Tea Castle is its fair prices. Considering the exquisite quality of teas and snacks they offer, the affordability of their menu was a pleasant surprise. It's not every day that you come across a place that not only provides top-notch service but also keeps its prices reasonable, making it accessible to a wider audience. The atmosphere at Tea Castle is nothing short of excellent. Nestled amidst lush greenery and surrounded by captivating nature, the setting is nothing less than idyllic. The serene and tranquil environment provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying a cup of tea with friends or simply basking in the beauty of the surroundings. Whether you prefer indoor seating with large windows to admire the scenery or outdoor seating to feel closer to nature, Tea Castle caters to all preferences. Another advantage of this establishment is the ample parking space available. It's always a relief to find sufficient parking slots, especially in popular tourist spots where parking can often be a hassle. Tea Castle's ample parking ensures that guests can arrive stress-free and begin their tea experience without any inconvenience. The attractive nature environment surrounding the Tea Castle is a real treat for nature enthusiasts. The establishment has taken full advantage of its location and has seamlessly integrated the beauty of the surroundings into its design. With well-maintained gardens, walking paths, and even seating areas to enjoy the views, Tea Castle provides a complete package for those seeking a nature-infused experience. The final icing on the cake was the friendly and attentive staff. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist. The staff members were well-informed about the various tea options available and were more than happy to make recommendations based on individual preferences. Their hospitality added to the overall charm of Tea Castle and made my visit even more memorable. In conclusion, Tea Castle has won my heart with its fair prices, excellent atmosphere, abundant parking, attractive nature environment, and, most importantly, its friendly staff. Whether you're a tea enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature, this place has something special to offer. I highly recommend paying a visit to Tea Castle and experiencing its delightful offerings firsthand.

A great pitstop on the way to your hill country destination. This place offers you food, a great view of Devon falls and shop with a great variety of tea products from Mlesna. The place was crowded on the day we visited and had to wait a few minutes to get a table. But the service was good and the food was tasty too.

This location is truly serene and picturesque, offering a tranquil atmosphere that's hard to find elsewhere. The lush green surroundings, delicious food, and the warmth of the local people make it an exceptional place to visit.

Beautiful place with very mediocre food with expensive prices and small portion sizes! We ordered a chicken masala curry (Rs 1100/=) and received a ridiculously small portion of a typical sri lankan curry. Rest of the food was disappointing as well. Do yourself a favour and only get tea or a snack from this place instead of a full meal. Apart from the mediocre disappointing food the place itself is lovely with an amazing view point!

From their menu you can select different flavors of tea, cakes and snacks. There are lunch items like Rice & Curry, Fried Rice etc. at an expensive side. Also there’s a small tea shop where you can buy different tea packs. A good place to take a break en route to Colombo from hillside.

Architectural marvel plus tea boutique. We visited their tea shop and learned about many tea varieties. It is a self serving shop and you can choose what you want with the help of them. Also we could watch some old machinery used in tea production process. They also have a cafe area where you can buy tasty products plus a cup of tea.

Absolutely loved the place!!!!!! The place is really nice and has a good view of Devon falls.absolutely loved the restaurant and the tea castle overall. Food portions are good although a bit pricy. Their caramel tea is hands down the best tea I have ever had and is definitely worth giving a go. Overall absolutely loved the place and would definitely recommend anyone to stop and dine at on their way.thank you for such a great experience !!!

If nothing else, a good stop to buy some good quality tea that can be used as a gift or souvenir from Sri Lanka or you or someone else. The place has a small museum where is the process of making black tea explained. For my surprise, there was not such interest int that for the place's visitors than going for a restaurant or the shop. The restaurant offers some meals, a lot of teas, and it also has some cakes. For some reason, curry meals were not available on the day when I visited the place, which is shame, but manageable. As a desert, I went for a piece of chocolate cake, which was supposed to be the least sweet cake from the offer. Even that one was sweet more than enough for me and I split it with my boyfriend, cause I was not managing it whole. The shop has touristic prices, but for tourists it's not that bad and you can always ask a shopping assistant for a recommendation for the tea of your liking, exactly as I did.

The food was delicious, especially the tea. The service was prompt and courteous. The ambiance was cozy and inviting. The prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend Mlesna Tea Castle St Clair to anyone looking for a cozy tea house experience in Devon Falls.

We went there on 4th February 2023, I ordered normal milk tea and chocolate cake. Chocolate cake is good but tea was worst. It was like hot water. Not upto the standard. Disappointed with tea. My friends ordered caramel tea, that was good but they should maintain the quality of the normal milk tea. But ambiance of the place was good and calming. You can witness historical photos and content

This newly renovated place really looks like a castle by appearance, and provides a very lovely "tea brewing" atmosphere. The architecture of this building must be appreciated, nicely Ceylon tea themed. They welcome both locals as well as foreigners, and offer a wide range of Ceylon tea flavours. We enjoyed a cup of tea from their home grown Ceylon tea, which was very pleasant in taste. Anybody who is traveling towards Nuwaraeliye can use this location for a rest, enjoy a meal or a cup of tea, and use very clean bathrooms as well. You can enjoy a very nice view of Devon falls from the top of Tower castle, which is breathtaking!

This tea factory is what you would expect from a tea factory but unlike others, it’s so different! A castle, built by some brit in 19th century. I loved that you can have a good cup of coffee up in the tower overlooking the plantations. By the way the shop? Amazing. So many people working there, helping you fin what you need. I wish there was some more quality tea, but it’s very good, fair price and I bought almost everything. Perfect place to visit in you are in Nuwara Eliya or traveling around.

Nice tea “place”. Had alot of information about tea production and tea history! Interesting Also they had a great viewing tower over the waterfall and tea estates. We had some afternoon tea and bought home some local tea as souvenir.
