BEWARE 'Free shipping to UK' - These signs are all over the shop and when you buy something as I did it is not cheap (cheaper in govt shops) but it does look nice so I consoled myself that at least it was being transported free. NOT the case - free shipping is literally that - you are liable for unloading at the docks, customs, storage, local delivery and 101 other aspects which added £233.50 to my purchase of £325 that's an 80% add on (more if you want it brought into your house!). Although it does state this (and a 90 day delivery time- mine is104 days!) They NEVER mention it in the sales pitch just reiterating free shipping and although you sign the invoice they repeatedly ask you to check delivery address reinforcing the idea they will deliver and drawing the eye away from the additional cost and delivery time. When you complain no apologies or offers to rectify sales practice they simply send email after email reiterating that they ship to the port and you pay everything else at huge hidden expense - they may be technically correct but ethically and morally definitely wrong very misleading sales practices - Buyers definitely need to BEWARE!

FAKE goods for high price!!!! They sell it like real and high quality wood with an nice manufacture behind... Don’t believe it...moreover unrealistic high prices! We bought an small elephant as a souvenir and now it fall down and broke. So we realize that it’s not real wood...it’s Fake...made by mould and of plastic!!!! Sadly but true!!! BE CAREFUL, TOURIST SCAM -watch out !!! Hello. I am Enrique Villatoro from Barcelona. In August of 2022 we bought some wooden figures from Nishantha Wood Carvings (Pvt) Ltd in Kandy and they agreed that they would be sent to our home. Many months have passed and we still haven't received anything. I have even written several emails to ask for information and I have received no responses. The guide we had when we were in the country, Udeya, has also contacted their to find out about the situation and we haven't had any news either. I think it is a bad image for the country, for tourism and especially for the brand that you do not tell us anything. We are thinking of starting legal actions with lawyers and the Spanish consulate itself to see what has happened and I think they have stolen us.

Prices start way too high. Cost of material and labour is not that expensive in SL compared to western world yet their prices are on par with high end department stores in knightsbridge, London. Nice shop though.

Interesting places all over. Polonnaruwa, Seegiriya, Kandy ect. Mainly the wood Carvings and also very good for your meals too. To have a nice lunch or dinner for a reasonable price this is one of the best place. Recently introduced silk shop in kandy also worth to visit .

A nice wood carving place. You can choose and buy lot of marvellous wooden carving arts. Also they have good foods for lunch.

Interesting place with explanations of the different types of wood used and the carving methods. One of the group bought a fire mask which was nicely carved.

Avoid. This company said the items I purchased would arrive to my destination in 3 weeks. 7 MONTHS later and after many many emails, it finally arrived. 1 item that was supposed to be custom-made was not what I ordered. Go somewhere else, there are many better shops than this one.

👍👍 This place is the epitome of creative batiks in my opinion. Not mass produced. Every piece is carefully created, designed and hand made. Anyone visiting the showroom gets a glimpse of how the Batiks are made and a look in to some work in-progress. I find this as an indication of the authenticity and...
