Looking at the store, there is no standard. The food does not taste good. They do not know how to put three or five chilies in the food properly. If you take full rice, the portion is not enough for each person. I do not approve especially for foreign tourists. Not recommended for domestic tourists either.

I just saw this place and instantly I thought to have a chicken submarine. I never regret about that thinking because that was super awesome and the best I had so far. The menu is customer friendly. Didn't have to wait too long. Foods might be available in UBER & PICK ME. I saw the certification of one of best rests around Kandy on trip adviser. It is displayed. Customer friendliness is average. They don't smile generally. weird. But Food preparation is kind of Good. Can be satisfied. Submarine is undoubtly yummy 🤩😋 Great. Deserve 🎖⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Parking is available for few vehicles. Next to the main road. No worries of staying at the line. Highly recommend this place for your submarine needs. Because I do not know about the other foods. 😜

I bought a fried chicken portion which was a huge regret! If someone wants to buy a “HANDFUL” of completely DRY, fried chicken “BONES” for 780/- rupees, I highly recommend this place! The chicken fried rice dish from Open Rice was a nightmare experience. The rice was undercooked and sour-smelling, and lacking freshness. The dish lacked seasoning and had no flavor. The presentation was messy. Overall, it was an unappetizing and repulsive dish that should be avoided at all costs. Don't go there it's a waste.

Ordered Cheese Chicken Kottu and it is a disgrace to Kottu in general. I have no idea of what is in it but definitely not roti. It is made from some sort of noodle kind of thing which tastes awful. Looks good in picture but trust me don't buy it. Do not recommend and do not buy the kottu.

I Went to the open rice for the lunch and get spicy thai rice & Chicken rice. Rice have note much tastes according toe and frends but the place is nice for a meal. buy Two Ice cream and it is tasty. One of my frend went the dinners out at this place and try kottu he says it is good. So, I suggest Kottu instead rice.

Dont order and eat from this restaurant. The food they delivered was almost rotten and the rice was extremely dried. The food is not in an edible condition. The customer service is also very disappointing.

Have been to the dine in rest and was ok. But yesterday I went to order from the Take home counter where there were 2 old ladies I the cashier. They were so rude and had the worse attitude. No consideration for customer care at all, specifically in a situation like this in the country. Order was delayed and still was rasing voices at all including me. Food was also below average and quantity for a full portion and normal was the same though they charged high for the full. No chicken in a chicken fried rice. Do check for alternatives close by since there are better restaurants around.

I went there around 8.00pm 23.04.2021 & got a parcel of sea food pride rice for Rs 380/=. Worth the price. Tasted good. There was no MSG taste. Quick service. Thanks. I was in hurry. My negative comment is except for front desk boy & the cash counter lady all others were not wearing face masks or hand protection. In addition they were talking so much while cooking & packing. Hi, Me and my friend went to dine in in this restaurant and we ordered the chicken cheese kottu and the cheesy seafood pasta. Food was not delicious at all and the creamy seafood pasta smelled rotten. In case of food poisoning I consumed very less of the dish but ended up getting food poisoning, im sick in the hospital all responsible for the restaurant staff who dont check and care about the customers as well as the food, donr go to this restaurant, dont take your children to such places you might end up having food poisoning, I recommend 0/10 for this restaurant. Disgusting!

Not sure about the atmosphere. But both food and service are really bad. When I went there to order a fried rice, I saw how much stock powder they use. It is insane. Really unhealthy. Not enough meat / fish in items. People who work there are the worst I have seen. When I made a complaint they didn't even bother to take it seriously. Stopped going there about years ago.

Really bad customer service and the staff were very aggressive with low quality attitudes. Ordered a Full Rice and full Koththu and they have mixed the orders. And they fotgot to provide gravy. The Cashier Sachini is very rude with customer and even argued when informed about the gravy. She is giving bad impression regarding Openrice.

Too bad the chefs here don't know how to control the chili. Every time I ordered something, it is way too hot to even finish eating the meal. Food too spicy = incompetent chef who intentionally masks all flavor.

The experience with food was not very nice. We got a potion of french fries which did not taste very fresh which felt like fried soon after taken out of the freezer. the crispy chicken was dry and the burger patty was so rough that we had to take it away to eat the burger. The place has parking issues because there is no security personnel to manage.

The food in Open Rice is yummy. I love most of the preparations. Having said that, they use coconut oil to cook all kind of Oily stuff. Due to unavailability of fuel it's we have had to wait for a long time for the food to be delivered by them. Where I didn't receive my food for more than 3 hours from the ordered time. Also, they would fail to inform us when they were unable to find a ride. It's better to get our food there attending physically.

Good restaurant for take aways within Kandy to peradeniya. They have strengthened workforce and good delivery network with Pickme and Uber. The menu is good and delicious and prices are reasonable. actually we ordered spaghetti carbonara from open rice and they gave us a half cooked one and we just informed about that to the waiter and he told that if we can eat that have it because if they informed it to the kitchen their salary will be deduct… very disappointed about that
