Good place to quick and take away near to peradeniya. Located close to main road, with just enough parking. Can buy various Sri Lankan food even most modern Sri lankan doesn't know how to make for a very reasonable price. All prices are posted with a picture and no confusion for a customer. Self service and no much waiting. About 1 PM shift changing. Has to pay first in one of 2 cashiers and take the receipt to get food. Still reasonable prices even in difficult time.

The Hela Bojun restaurant was a real highlight of our Kandy gastronomic experience! This hidden gem offers many diverse food options enjoyed by the locals. Overall, we had “a bit of everything” and paid only 1000lks. The woman at the counter was very kind and helped us gather all our food. Would definitely recommend these Sri Lankan dishes!

This is the first outlet that was established under the Hela Bojun Restaurant chain initiated by the Department of Agriculture. It is a good place to eat if you are travelling to Kandy or beyond from Colombo. Has a variety of food items at a reasonable price, ranging from string hoppers, milk rice, hoppers etc to sweets and beverages. Around 20-25 people can dine in at once. However, vehicle parking is available for only a few and on weekends, you will find this place crowded.
