Worst food ever! Ordered 3 naans (Rs. 825), Kadhai Chicken (Rs. 1350), lime juice (Rs. 350) and a water bottle (Rs. 90). Portion of the Kadhai chicken is not worth the price. There was only 2 or 3 tiny chicken pieces which weigh around 5-10 grams (See the attached picture - It's hard to find a chicken piece). Mostly, it was consisted with a large amount of gravy which has an average taste. Generally, there should be a standard amount (weight) of chicken they are using in the curries and dishes listed in the menu. They are not aware of it. Quality of the naan is very poor. One naan had a dark patch as in one of the pictures. I don't know what it is. Also, there was a water cut during the time I visited. Seems like they do not have a water storage tank. They have provided a bucket of water near the sink to wash hands. Really disappointed. If you want to try Indian food in Kandy, go elsewhere. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend it and I would never visit this place ever again.

I got a time to taste their naan again. So, we ordered 2 butter naan portions and butter chicken with strawberry mojito and mango mojito. All good and staff is so helpful. And they worried about the customers because at that time they faced for a power cut. But no any disappointments. Everything was perfect 😍❤️✌️

Food was mostly good. Service not really. Restaurant was only half full, but everything took a long time or had to be asked for twice. And I didn’t like the fact how the waiter was yelling to the kitchen crew - didn’t sound like a work climate as it should be…

Ambience is somewhat decent but not the food, spoons were unclean. The Biriyani tasted too icky and awful sadly. Make it drier without adding all that oil or whatever. Give the customer gravy and let him adjust the dryness. Can't recommend this place.

Everyone in kandy should visit this place the staff are so friendly and the place is very nice We had the pani puri it was the boom when you bite in to the pani puri there are so much amazing flavours in your mouth every one who visits this place should try pani puri. And we had the dose which was nice the side Curry dishes which comes with the dose is amazing this people know there way around spices And we had the fried rice which was so flavorful you could taste so many spices In it And we had a chocolate milk which was amazing so creamy and tasty They do have some amazing dessert's too. I do not recommend the submarine but they said they will improve the submarine.I

The restaurant was cool and comfortable. Good service from the waiters. Sometimes a little insistent with their suggestions. The food was good and was accommodated to my taste. I requested no chillies and they did a good job. The naan breads were delicious. The curries didn't settle well. The seating was comfortable, the temperature was good, the adornments were charming and very colorfully laid out.

Poor service, pathetic food, rude staff. The food was cold, appetizers came after the main course. Paneer was hard, chicken undercooked. They didn't note down the order, food came after 40 min. Staff kept coming to the table saying somebody else took the order so they don't know about it. They didn't even bring napkins to the table. Horrible service!!

I visited this place during my visit to Kandy. What a lovely place where I found great customer service. The food is absolutely amazing and the service is fast too. The atmosphere of the place is truly amazing and I get the feeling of being in India when wandering here and there in the restaurant.

Went here for dinner and an appetite only to be extremely disappointed with the food, service and staff. The staff was rude, inefficient, not noting down orders and forgetting what we had ordered. The food was cold and came very late. The staff was very rude when questioned about the food. Will never recommend this restaurant.

We were very disappointed with our visit.... When we took a seat, the table next to us was cleared - the waitress simply wiped the table with the used napkin from the guest. A bread plate and cutlery seemed to have been unused and was simply reused. New glasses were placed on top and the rest of the food was simply swept off the table by hand. At the counter sat 3 employees who also did not want to move and we were the only guests in the restaurant. The food was okay but typical Indian it was not. My paneer was very firm and squeaky. There is no talk of a fusion kitchen here. The toilets have not received any cleaning for a long time and there rested three huge dead cockroaches!!!!! We asked at the beginning if it is possible to pay with card: yes, it is possible. In the meantime, a local had ordered something to pick up and paid with card. When we wanted to pay it was suddenly said that it does not work. We’ll definitely not come again

In Kandy this one is good for indian traveller's to try out indian food. You need to specify less spicy if you dont like too spicy food. Otherwise the place is good.

I have not been to this restaurant. But my daughters prefer it. They like the food. Indian summer restaurant is located in the city centre

Nice place with dim light ! Good ambience ! Well maintained. Very different infusion of Indian food with impeccable service by the service staff. We had 2 buffet for Iftar. Rs 2250 each & we ordered 3 biriyani. Overall a different experience. food was authentic with lot of options. Do visit and enjoy the Iftar. 🥰😇

Anther failure. This is the second time that indian summer restaurant disappointed us! They are open till 11pm and even google confirms that. We go there at 10.15 and they we not keen to serve us. The service was so bad and they refused to serve hot water. It was just 2 of us and the bill valuwe was 5920/=, not complaining about the bill amount but it was the service and the taste that worried us! The chicken in the biriyani was under Cooked and when we complained they didnt even care. Road side parking, small outlet with about 10 tables. This not ideal for a fun family outing. Service needs to improve.

Visited this place last week with my family. Ordered a Tomato soup. It was so sweet that they should have named it Tomato Lassi. After the meal we ordered a fruit salad. There was only pineapple, watermelon and bit of orange. Not even papaya or banana when it is widely available and such a common ingredient in a salad. The main meal was OK. But failing to serve a simple thing like a salad or a soup is just dreadful. Won't be visiting them to waste our money.

Worst service and food, no customer service, no napkin no clean tables, no waiters. Overall if you want to enjoy your food and weekend better skip this place. And don’t wast your money on this place.

I have been here a several times and the food at global kitchen tastes good. The atmosphere of the place is good when its less crowded but on crowded days and at lunch hours the place is not very appealing. A similar situation arises when finding a parking space, the availability is very limited during the day and ample at night. There is still lots of confusion with the two names the place has, Global Kitchen and Indian Summers.

Food is yummy. If you are eating average one biriyani is enough for two. Expensive. Take ever cost 200 rs extra for POT 😄😂😂

Actually we didn't get enough potions by them and highly cost service chargers. Any way the severs were great and egg kottu was superb ❤️ just try it ..thank you soo much

I have been a regular customer of Indian Summer Colombo outlet and I love their food and customer service has been excellent in the past. Having that experience with Indian Summer in mind when I had a recent visit to Kandy, I went to Indian Summer Kandy outlet for a lunch and had the worst dine in experience ever in my life. Few things that disappointed me were, 1. Food was not in good quality, we ordered biriyani and finally ended up eating cold rice with orange colouring. It didn't have the flavour of biriyani at all. 2. We were overcharged for the meals that we ordered. We ordered 03 normal biriyani but without our knowledge they have priced us for special boneless biriyani which we didn't request when we placed the order. 3. We wanted to clarify why we have been over charged from the restaurant manager at Indian Summer Kandy, the feedback and response that we got was very unprofessional and unacceptable. The Manager ''Imtiaz'' told rest of their staff pointing fingers at us that '' *they are budget people and thats why they are inquiring the prices* ". This is how the customers are been treated at this place. 4. They didn't have power throughout the time period we were at the restaurant and they don't have a back up plan to serve the customers. This was one of the worst experiences I had in my life and very disappointing the way how they treat and talk to their customers. I wouldn't recommend anyone to try this place in Kandy. You will surely have a bad experience. I hope the management of Indian Summer will take this serious and make sure these types of ill treatment never happens to the customers again. Thank You.

Went in for a family lunch. Ordered some biriyani, chicken and shrimp.the portions were quiet small for the price. The food was a 4/10. The service is just terrible. Ordered a bottle water which i had to remind them to being and couldn’t open the bottle for us. Probably not a visit worthy place. Im sure there are plenty of places to try around at much cheaper but with quality food.

I visited this place for family dinner at kandy during our holiday. We attracted to this place as there is very few vegetarian options & ambiance is good. But then when we entered in restaurant we were only 5 people as guest still they can’t serve us properly. Very very very pathetic service. We paid bill then i asked them why u didn’t serve us regular water, why not serve us he answered with very rude attitude that we don’t have that policy to serve each n every people we are FINE DINE restaurant so no serving, no finger bowl, no regular water 😳 that’s the meaning of fine dine🤣😂 After that attitude of staff i told them i will give you actual incident review on google, instead of apology they said sure maam thank u go for it Big No for this place I don’t recommend

This is one of the most delicious Indian meals we have ever eaten. The menu is extensive and varied and caters for all tastes of Indian cuisine. Place is really nice and warm.

Not authentic indian food as it was when they opened. no consistency, quality is getting worse day by day. comparing to Colombo branch this is not good for their indian summer branding.

The best chiken sweetcorn soup i ever had in kandy. the guy who i called is the best. he get out the restaurant and come to my vehicle, and noted what i need. after few minutes he come with the food. Great service 👍 Thank you 😊

They even brought out a custom dessert for my birthday. Ask for Fazlul and Affan! 2 of the best servers! Extremely friendly and kind. Do yourself a big favor and stop here for authentic Indian cuisine.

The food was good but the service was strange. Our food arrived pretty quickly, but servers etc were a little disorganized and no one had cleaned up from prior diners. So - go for the food and not the ambience and you’ll be good.

A very good place to have a meal in Kandy! They have authentic Indian food and chinese food too. The items are priced a little higher up on the scale. But it is worth it. The ambience is good. Staff is friendly. It is not crowded around 6-6.30 pm. But it starts to get crowded after 7pm or so. Seating arrangement is great!

Ordered 3 nan portions and a portion of chicken masala which cost me around Rs 2,400 , see the order below, two small chicken pieces + 6 half size very thin Naan strips.... never gonna place order with them anymore... this is very unfair....do not recomend this restaurant to anyone....
