One of the UN-CLEANEST places we have ever visited (probably the most unclean place). Though we booked for 2 days (and paid the total in advance - Rs 22800), we left the place within hours. The bathroom was unclean, filled with dead cockroaches (plus some other UNIDENTIFIABLE dead animals). After cleaning the “cockroached” bathroom with a mop, it started to smell stink. The bedspread and white towels provided were appeared greyish and poorly cleaned. The dustbin was left with rotten leftovers. Luckily, we had a bedspread with us and a towel which we used that day. As we reached the place very late, we stayed overnight but never sleep. Most of the items were damaged and poorly maintained and dusty. Food were not good at all and not worth for the money. The front desk receptionist has no clue about how to treat customers. So arrogant. Wonder how these kinds of places survive this much time. Never recommend for any reason.

They suppose to give name of (dirty cabana) rather than Kandy cabana The hotel did not worth any star It’s dirty and not fit for humans! Full of lizards and cockroaches (more than anyone expectation) Bed sheets were super dirty. we found hair and flies in thier food also. we spent only one night with the lizards and the next night we reserved in Ozo better and cleaner place. The owner was very awful , unrespectful and very rude. he refused to give us our money back for the next night (he ate the money) Btw, cheep price but Not recommended, read all the comments carefully. And writing the comment is to aware the people not to threaten you dear owner 🥲! clean your place so the people can write good things about you :) see the lizards in the photos and the rest of the awareness photos will be uploaded later to (Aware the people before the reservation)

The only good thing about this place is the view. The rest, oh god! Not hygienic at all. Bed linen really not up to standard. I had to put a towel on it and use it. We planned to stay here for 2 nights but we spent just one night since we couldn’t book another hotel in a rush. The receptionist is not friendly. Do not recommend if you are hygiene conscious. The road is also too narrow. Our jeep barley made it to the place.

-Overall the experience was average..we took full board for 14500/=..partially cleaned room with dozens of lizards. - Food was ok with poor menu. + Perfect getaway from cozy Colombo. + Cabana Rooms and the surroundings gave surreal forest experience + Staffs are very friendly - No extra activities ( cycling/ kayaking possible) - Washroom heaters have issues.

Rating: 4/5 I recently celebrated my mother's birthday at Kandy Cabana Eco Resort—an enchanting haven nestled by the river, offering mesmerizing views of mist-shrouded mountains and picturesque clouds. The woody cabanas added a cozy touch, complementing the natural beauty that surrounded us. The food was not only delicious but a symphony of flavors, and the service was excellent, with a special thanks for the assistance in buying the birthday cake. While a bit more attention to cleanliness would enhance the experience, the overall stay was a delightful and memorable escape into nature's beauty.

A nice place alongside the Mahaweli river. Surrounded with the nature and sometimes have to bear the nature too (especially in rainy season). Cabanas are spacious and maintained clean. Food is good, but expensive a bit.

Good place to stay. Inside and outside of cabana is very clean. There are 2 river side cabanas and another 2 luxury cabanas available . I stayed at a luxury cabana for 6 days. There was a little problem with hot water regulator in the bath tub . Very quite and stress releaving environment near Mahaweli river. Tasty food

Worst experience ever! Wouldn't stay again even if they offer it for free !!! Unclean , no help with luggage, power cut whole night and no backup , Unclean utensils, and hair in food !!! What more I fell sick while returning ( probably they served something from fridge after the entire nights power cut ) disgusting! Not to mention i t's in the middle of nowhere ., my advice to anyone is " do not go there. "

The mattress is very comfortable. A very beautiful place. Mahaweli river flows near the hotel premises. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also very delicious. The bathroom is very dirty. It was not cleaned well. Hot water facilities are not working properly. Ants and various insects are found throughout the room. If the staff pay more attention to cleanliness, this place is a very valuable place in Kandy

Very dirty. I got pitten in all my body with big aunts. They bring us dinner with flies. The manager was bad and he talked bad to us.

This is truly a nature resort and is in harmony with the village. All cabanas facing Mahaveli River is a fascinating fact. Food was super awesome. From the reservation to the checkout was so easy and friendly. Can’t wait to go there again. ❤️❤️

The door couldn't be locked when we went out, but nothing was lost There are 2 river side cabana and another 2 luxury cabanas available .
