Natural sea pool with polluted water. Too much crowd in weekends. Lots of small shops around this area. Can see sunset as well. Some people are enjoying with their pets. Some people using this place for parties and drinking alcoholic beverages. Sea water is very polluted. Not recommended to bath.

A great place to relax and enjoy the sunset. It’s a phenomenal scenery. You can take a sea bath without worrying, it’s safe for kids also. Be cautious when you’re near the rocky area as there are sea urchins.

This is an amazing natural Sea pool ,at the moment of my visit part of the pool was polluted with urban waste.which I hated the surround.But you can have a nice view of the colombo city from here and Spacious beach without maintenance..😔

Besama beach is a safe beach than the other beaches. Because it covered with a row of stones. So it is very safe and don't use it in holidays. Because lots of people came here to visit the beach and swim in the beach during the holidays. But already it's good. I have very important thing to say. That is lots of people have been polute the beach. So don't throw rubbish and became a nature lover. And this is Dinura Fernando one of a traveler, visitor and reviewer in Srilanka 😊

Tbh It is better to get some fresh air in there and get back home instead of getting into the water cuz of the dirt and oil floating,due to the ship wreck that took place.It is really a good place to enjoy your own time especially in the evening around 5.00pm.Also there is parking space.

Beach was quite crowded and Government put up a new stone bridge and you can find plenty of space to seabath sefely. It was like a tank and you can find a coral reef which takes the hit of waves and kids did enjoy that since they can have more freedom. Downside is sibce there is no proper car park but you can find a car park alongside the road , but dont know it was proper land thats designated for parking.

Its safe to take little children, may be to have the first time sea bath experience.

It is a beautiful beach. In my opinion, that beach is a very safe beach for tourists. This beach is a major tourist destination, specially among Sri Lankans.Tourists can see the sunset in the evening from this beach wonderfully.

Unfortunately due to express pearl ship tragedy all the beach and water been polluted .Please avoid the beach due to toxic hazard .Its so sad and how unfortunate to see the impact on once beautiful beach.Relevant authorities must take action against this as this is pure criminal act.Ship company and other relevant authorities must take responsiblity for this disaster which I heard would have avoid.So sad to see.The sand is greasy and filled with plastic nurdles .

When sea not rough good place for sea bath. Should not go beyond coral reef or foot on it. May be you risking your precious life or your love ones. There no life guards.

Very scenic place near Colombo for swimming and fun. There are several naturally confronted areas you can safely swim. You can see a clear picture of Colombo port. The road to this place needs to be sooner repaired. More infrastructure should be developed to attract more local and foreign tourists because this is located very close to Colombo city. There are several hotels to stay here, but cannot guarantee quality of their services.

Safe beach. the best beach in gampaha district. But day by day beach become polluted by polithen. Has some food stalls but they are not reasonable price. Can have really beautiful views in the evening.

The water is not the cleanest, a dead fish was pushed onto the beach by the waves, the sand is black in some places and I don't know if that's because it's dirty or just its natural colour. You can see Colombo harbour's cranes in the distance alongside the nearby towers and the cargo ships dotted on the horizon which is a good view. There's a bit of trash thrown onto the beach but it's not an unbearable amount. The water is warm, the waves are strong, and the sea breeze is pleasant. It's crowded and lively and some young men can be discourteous, I almost got hit in the head with a football by some young men just kicking around the ball with no regards to other people at the beach.

Good places for swimming safe place, children can bath on sea

When you take the left turn from Bopitiya Junction from Thudella road, Its just 5 Km. A cool and safe place to you to have a bath for your family. You have a paid car park inside the beach where you can even park buses as well.

It was a fun place to enjoy. A great place to go with kids as the water is very shallow. You can park your vehicle nearby as there is enough and more parking space. There is a shower area ( not very good though ) but you could still use it. You could take a lot of pictures. It's actually a very nice area and the sunset there is awesome. The best time to go according to my own experiences is about 3.00 pm...
