It
was
our
first
night
in
Negombo
and
we
wanted
to
experience
the
famous
Negombo
fish
and
seafood.
This
restaurant
was
magical.
We
walked
to
it
from
our
hotel.
Off
the
main
road,
we
almost
didn’t
find
it.
It’s
down
a
narrow
alley
festooned
with
green
lights.
Raj,
the
owner,
took
us
along
the
narrow
passage
and
it
opened
out
into
the
restaurant.
It’s
right
on
the
beach
hence
the
little
walk
from
Main
Street
to
the
actual
restaurant.
It
was
a
hot,
sultry
evening
so
Raj
recommended
we
sit
closest
to
the
sea.
He
reassured
us
they’d
be
no
mosquitoes
and
indeed
there
weren’t.
The
cooling
sea-breeze
and
the
gentle
crashing
of
the
waves
made
for
a
perfectly
romantic
evening.
There
was
an
extensive
menu
but
Raj
wondered
if
we
might
enjoy
a
sea
food
platter
of
fish
and
seafood
caught
that
day.
He
brought
the
fish
to
show
us
and
made
excellent
recommendations,
ensuring
we
had
just
the
right
amount
of
food
to
be
happy
and
satisfied.
King
fish
was
my
favourite
and
my
husband
loved
the
devilled
prawns
(a
local
speciality).
Cool
beers
and
a
pancake,
ice-cream
dessert
rounded
everything
off
nicely.
Raj,
our
host,
couldn’t
have
been
more
friendly
and
welcoming.
I
throughly
recommend
the
Sea
Look
Restaurant.
