It’s only one star for the price you pay. I booked through Booking, there was no transparency in the difference between the deluxe, superior, and premium rooms. We booked Superior King Bedroom with Sea View. We were told your room is ready, we arrived and sat on the bed, and we felt weird line in the center of the bed, like there are two mattress on the bed, we checked under the sheet to find out that there are two twin beds adjoining each other and not a king bed. So absolutely the hotel tried to fool us. We returned back to the help desk, the manager excused the situation by saying “we upgraded your room, this twin room is upgraded”. We didn’t understand what’s the upgrade here, but we explained to him that whatever the room is we’re not going with the twin beds. He showed us the other available king rooms, one of them was very bad, the second was okay, but not full Sea View. Seems like all Sea Views in the hotel not that good. I attached a photo of the sea view that we got. Pros: - Staff are very friendly and kind - Room service team are good Cons: - Rooms are very old, need renovation. Bathroom ceiling has problems and air vent was not working - Rooms arrangement is so bad, you have to walk around the world to reach the room - There is only one pool, which is not enough for hotel in this size - No washrooms near the beach area, you have to go three floors up to reach the pool washrooms - Buffet was very limited on all meals - Balcony was very small and no privacy at all with the adjacent rooms I recommend this hotel for families with kids who are okay with this price point. I don’t recommend this hotel for someone who wants to relax and be away from crowds.

Rooms are very old and need immediately renovation. I was booked for an deluxe room and downgraded the same to a superior since that was much better. I would suggest to book the same and not go ahead with deluxe room. Couple of restaurants were closed because of covid. The staff is friendly and the service is good. Nice access to the beach and pool is amazing.

Nice place with sea breeze. Peaceful and clean atmosphere. Specially they serve really delicious food varieties. Building appears to be an old one, but well maintained. Service is good and friendly. Location is good and easy to access. Not really near to the Galle - Colombo main road though (It is around 1km from the Galle - Colombo main road). Overall nice resort.

Rooms are quite small but the hospitality, restaurant and chefs are amazing. Love to visit and book this place again. They also make food for your little one and chef are personally checking on it if the little one loves it or not. Love this place and their hospitality. I would definitely recommend people to book and stay if you want your stay super comfortable and wants your little one to enjoy with you. The beach rooms are beautiful and really romantic for the couples. They made elephant for my little one to play with towels and we really appreciate their gesture.

I've gone there with my family. The hotel provides a magical atmosphere. The breakfast offers both local cuisine (that I recommend a lot!) and international good. Location of the restaurant is amazing, offering pool and sea views. I used to wake up earlier to get there before my family to enjoy this magical experience. The room with much space, comfortable bed and bathroom too. Great location with a walking distance to Bentota train station.

We had a wonderful time, as a family. They welcome us warmed. Room, service, buffet, pool, outdoor and excellent. The only issue happened was getting the room key bit late(it took some time because the room wasn't ready. My other friends got the key, I think it only matters sometimes happened). Other than that it was pretty much a great time at the hotel.

Amazing stay with beautiful views and big room. It was my anniversary and I got the room upgrade which was really amazing. The room had sea view and private jacuzzi which were really good. Food was really good, during breakfast Sam helped out. The breakfast buffet was amazing and tasty, kudos to chef. At the SHACKS restaurant, where sea food was being served, it was really good, Roshan there was amazing, he clicked pictures and helped us celebrate our special day. Food was fabulous at shacks again kudos to chef. The check in and check out process was quick and smooth. The in room dining experience was also great. The beach is directly accessible and sun beds are present for you to relax in. The beach is clean and really good. The pool is also big and nice. Overall it was a comfortable stay and would love to visit again.

We decided to come to this hotel for the second time because this hotel is so good. The food is amazing. The staff of the hotel is also very friendly. Special thanks to chef Dilip who prepared the most delicious Indian food for us. Also thanks to pastry chef priyantha and chef shamika for providing us with delicious bakery items. One of the best place s to be in Srilanka. The staff is very good.. Location gets more than what it takes for a perfect holiday. Beach is pretty clean and one of the best pools. Need to upgrade food service s but overall Manager and GM make up to everything. A big thumbs up 👍✨

Great property though few sections need some more work. Service is top notch & food is a delight for both Indian & European travelers. The beach access make the stay a unique experience.

Beautiful hotel & such friendly, helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was large with view of pool and sea, was a deluxe room. Sheets & towels changed everyday and extra special touches to make you feel welcome by Malawana our main room attendant. Thank you so much Malawana. The pool staff are also very attentive, thank you. The restaurant has a good varied selection of foods for all cultures and the chef even asked if we had a particular dish we wanted him to make! Loved our stay at the hotel. Food was great with authentic Indian taste. We got one the newly refurbished rooms. We had a minor issue with some bad smell coming from the AC. But the management quickly attended and took care of the complaint. Had a nice sea view from the room. Staff is taking a very good care of the guests. Definitely coming back, specially for the food.

Had an wonderful time. Rooms are not that spacious but equipped with all the facilities. Lunch buffet did not have much varieties but it was awesome. Staff is friendly and and the service was excellent. The hotel is under maintenance which may have ruined its unique view.

This is one place I would love to go every year, so reasonable and with Excellent Indian food. Never felt we are not in India. Location is awesome and nice way to beach is made, later you could take shower and enjoy the pool. The Palm resturant has amazing Indian food, ambience, Facility and Courteousness is something which describes this property. If you ask me one thing to describe this place I could only say Perfect. Water sports is also nearby and you could go and enjoy it as well.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay in this hotel. Landscape, beach, pool and view was amazing. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff is friendly. There were games to play and more events to enjoy. You can have a beautiful travelling experience if you visit to this hotel in Srilanka.

I would say this is truly an amazing stay at the hotel. The main factor is friendly and supportive staff. They were so attentive though the days were busy. Since the beginning, they made our day. The atmosphere was superb both inside and outdoors. The rooms were fully equipped with all the utensils. Also the food was delicious either buffet or a la carte.

Very good hotel, with even better personel (we especially like to mention Sam for his above and beyond service mentality, which made our stay even more pleasant). The location is great and we loved the pool area, slightly elevated and overlooking the beach and ocean. We can very much recommend this hotel as we spent a great 10 days here.

It's a Great location, easy to get in and the staff was wonderful. The hotel is well maintained. The beds were very firm, too firm for my liking. The food was good. I, especially, enjoyed the view of the sunset. Staff is always friendly. Very clean.This is a beautiful hotel! It’s clean and has a lot of comfort items to make you feel hifi. The best stay ever. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. This has a great Spa and all facilities too.

Second stay and will go back. Rooms lovely. Service impeccable. Food fantastic. We even got a personal message from manager thanking us for returning. One issue is I don't believe there is disabled Access to garden and beach and there are a few steps to negotiate around the hotel. It would be worth checking out before if mobility is an issue. Bar relaxing and in normal times has live music.

Had a great experience at this hotel. The rooms were acceptably large and very comfortable. The food is the main highlight. It was delicious. However, the buffet variety was medium in the dinner menu (compared to few others in similar class). The location is beautiful and has somewhat long, but easy access to a beautiful, secluded beach area. It is possible to have a bath in the sea here. Has a large 1.2m deep pool with wide views around the sea. The staff was very friendly and catered for our needs efficiently. They have offers for credit cards which sometimes reduces room prices upto 35%. The restaurant is bit crowded in the peak hours, so expect it more in the weekends.

A good resort hotel on par with many of the other celebrated chains. If you prefer an Indian touch this provides that aspect better than most other resort hotel. The rooms are well equipped and quite nice. A tennis court is available together with other board games and other in hotel options. Beautiful location and scenic. Food is really good. Buffet options are well varied and high quality. Lobby is really good to hang out. Staff are mostly friendly and look after you very well. Highly recommended

Welcome with a king coconut.... It was a very special welcome as always the case... Rooms are neat and tidy..however we did notice some moisture in the room...could be either the balcony doors or windows were kept open after the cleaning of rooms!!! The breakfast spread is just superb...many options for vegetarians also...live counter for dosa and pancake!! U can also enjoy the private beach... Also you can have a private Jacuzzi tub bath time with your loved one...that set up is just next level... Not to forget the staff...they are so helpful and nice...u can learn the towel art from them just in case u want some activities indoor☺️ Vegetarians u must order Vegetarian Pasta...we were so lucky to have met a Chef who was from Bangalore (India) ...just a connection and that could be the reason to remember the taste till now...been a long time had been to this wonderful place... They did give a small Elephant as a souvenir...It's serving the purpose...I am remembering my stay😊🤗 There was some issue at the check out though ...some mistake in billing and not ready to accept but later was sorted after sometime and ...took a little bit of time and was also disappointed as we didn't want to be late for the next destination... All well that ends well!!

Me and my husband chose this hotel to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We literally stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and four days. The entire hotel staff is very hospitable and kind. Start from the check-in to the house keeping and pool staff, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Special mention of “Sam” at the Palms, he made sure that we had a great breakfast everyday , he would always greet us with a lovely smile. Kudos to him !

Visited recently and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff is attentive and would always go the extra mile to make sure that we were treated well. Everyone from the general manager to the stewards were extremely professional. Loved the calm atmosphere and cleanliness. The poolside is maintained very well. Rooms could be modernized a bit more. Resort has a unique location as it is situated away from the bustle of the city. You could access the beach easily and the garden is well maintained. Other facilities include a gymnasium, sauna and steam facilities, a spa and other recreational activities on offer. We tried the breakfast and dinner buffets and the spread was excellent at all times. Sam and all the other servers made sure that we had everything we wanted whenever we dined there.

we stayed Taj bentota on September 2022 as a family and it was a memorable experience we ever had in hotel visiting.. Mr.Maduranga in revenue Dept helped me a lot on reservation the hotel and well coordinated until we check-out and further. Thank you.. its a beautiful property we hv visited and pool and all the areas with fully relaxing and well maintained house keeping and specially delicious food.. also new experience in steam room and thanks Mr.mahesh (pool attended) for introducing me that. Also thanks for arranging to play volleyball and kits for kids (Thanks to The person who looks after the Gym) ..all the staff are very friendly and we enjoyed the stay very much... Thank you Taj...

The location is so beautiful and the design of the hotel is excellent. Also, you can experience beautiful soft sandy and very clean beach. Rooms also beautiful but washroom is very small. When we went there we had wait for more than 2 hours to check in and after went to the room we had to wait again as the door lock of room was broken. Then they fixed it and once again when we came out of the room, the door lock was not working. Foods are delicious, but the variety of the menu is not good enough.

Went there on last weekend. Hotel was fully booked as they had a card promotion. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Bathrooms were bit packed but It had all amenities. Pool and restaurant was fully packed. Food was not upto the level I expected from a 5 star hotel. Lees variety of food to choose ( salad items, meat items, desserts) and not very tasty.. compared to other 5 star hotels I have been you have many to improve..

We went there for a vacation. The location is very cool and nice breeze. The staff is friendly and helpful but I had to wait few hours to get my language to the room however I had to move it myself after having few calls from the lobby area. Foods are not up the level that I expect from a five star hotel. The pool area is very cool and excellent experience. You can play table tennis, chess, etc. Overall compared to the five star hotels I have been this needs improvement.

A wonderful place to relax and recharge the batteries. The staff provide a great level of service and the food in the hotel is superb. The grounds are well maintained and the spa offers some great and very reasonably priced packages. It's close to a number of nearby restaurants and in easy walking distance of a few shops to cater for any incidental needs

It was a very nice experience, enjoyed the stay❤️. Rooms were nice and clean. Food was delicious🍽️. Supportive staff at any time. Spacious child cots available if needed. Well secured place, all openings for the beach and car parks were guarded by their security to ensure maximum security. Nice place to bring kids you can enjoy well ❤️

Had a good time there with few of my friends families. Rooms are very clean and the view from the balcony is fantastic. Special they have a private beach and kids can enjoy the sea very much . A very beautiful place. The food is really good and the staff also very pleasant. The only disappointment is I couldn’t contact the room service at the middle of the night to have an extra bed . Was calling them several time and the line is engaged for a long time.
