5 days was not enough! Aaliya tours was very responsive indeed.Based on certain criteria that we requested, Aaliya Tours arranged a comprehensive trip for us, including all hotels, a trip to historical sites ant other tourist attractions, and airport transfers. Our trip included 3 colonial hotels (our criteria) and one Aaliya Tours recommended hotel that were all fantastic. The driver (Deen- Highly recommended) for our 4day excursion was extremely helpful and also acted as a guide (where applicable), body guard,and buyers agent. We had the best day with Mr Ilham at Aaliyah Tours, couldn't recommend more highly. Very safe driver, excellent English, very considerate, caring and generous with his knowledge. We learned a lot about the real Sri Lanka. We fit so much in, in just one short day, and had lots of laughs along the way doing it. Well worth the money, though we shopped around and rates were very competitive. Nothing was too much trouble, incredible to see ancient caves and wildlife (we counted more than 50 elephants in one half day safari!!) and climbs big old rocks, eat amazing food, have enlightening conversation. Very hard working and pleasant guide, he worked so many more hours than we expected to give us a brilliant day, extremely selfless. Will hope he is still working as a guide for when we return. Memories to last a lifetime, thank you 🙏

We took a private Aaliya tour from Colombo through Nuwara Eliya, and hiking in the Horton Plains National Park, and then to a beachfront hotel in Bentota. Samir was our guide and driver and he was terrific! He took such good care of us, making sure that we saw everything we wanted to see. One day we went beach-hopping all the way down the coast. We also took a Muga River safari that was amazing, with cinnamon farm and fish massage. We highly recommend Aaliya Tours and look forward to more adventures when we return.

We had a brilliant Sri Lanka tour organized by Aaliya Tours. The 12 days meant that we were able to visit quite a few areas of Sri Lanka without feeling like we were travelling too much. We visited half part of Sri Lanka. Prior to booking we did our own research of what we wanted to see and told Aaliya Tours and they included that into our schedule. At the time of booking, Zameek at Aaliya Tours was very prompt & helpful with her responses to my numerous queries. I joined this successful tour by this company "Aaliya Tours" with a group of 19 persons. Our group leader Laura had organized and booked this tour very much earlier, long before the unfortunate bombing incidents. Initially I was unsure whether to proceed or not but instinct told me that the Sri Lanka government will provide very tight security to ensure the safety of the tourists and all its residents cos tourism is one of its main revenue and also protect its reputation. So I decided to go ahead together with the whole group. It was a right decision cos not only were all the places very safe but also found that this country has so many fantastic places to offer for holidays and sightseeing. Although it's a relatively small country by comparison to India or China, but surprisingly it has quite a number of UNESCO recognized World Heritage Sites! We managed to cover 5 of them during our tour. These includes towering ancient places of worship i.e. Buddhist temples and historical ruins of palaces and surrounding moulds and fortress walls. Our group also got to see charming colonial style government buildings and grand bungalows with splendid architecture designs; scenic and cooling highland landscapes; visit to temperate climate tea plantation estates and factory; precious gemstones showroom and production process; wood carvings demonstration and purchase outlet; tall multi-levels cascading and vertical-drop waterfalls and beaches with blue skies. Truly a photographer's delight! It also offers a variety of activities to cater for people of different taste! The citizens I encountered during this trip were friendly and helpful and most of them can understand English. Most importantly we witnessed that it's safe to travel about cos of the strict security consisting of body and baggage/belongings checks before we enter the tourist site e.g. temples etc. Safety is very assuring indeed! Lastly, a word of thanks here for the staff of Aaliya Tours who made this enjoyable trip possible namely our tour guide Shan bus drivers Deen and Predeep and not forgetting their director Zameek who dropped by along our journey to say hello and thanks for our support. Sorted out a couple of trips and transfers for us in Sri Lanka. All good, organised one transfer at decent price at the last minute as our train was cancelled. I recommend them.

We choose to book a tour of the key sights in Sri Lanka with Aaliya Tours and requested Zameek after my sister visited a few months before. We had high expectations after the glowing review, and they didn’t disappoint! We initially emailed Zameek with the things we wanted to see and the style of accommodation we preferred, and he recommended this package itinerary together for us and included extras that we may not have known, such as a cookery class in Ella and visiting a temple in the most central point of the island. He also made us aware of the documentation we needed to complete before entering Sri Lanka which helped. Azmy was the best guide we could ask for! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and happy. He was a smooth driver which helped with the windy roads. He knew lots of people over the island, so we knew we were in safe hands. He gave us lots of tips, such as the best quality places to visit and key viewpoints, and made us feel comfortable. I know some tourists that hire a different driver between each place so may not have as good experience as us. We were sad when our tour came to an end as we saw Azmy as a friend. Aaliya Tours is a very professional company the runs like a well oiled machine. From the initial email to the end of the trip, everything was impressively handled in an efficient and effective manner. Sri Lanka seemed like a country that needed much planning to get around, so I decided to use Aaliya Tours since I did not have time to do all the research required. I just emailed the company telling them the amount of days I was going to be there along with a list of must see sights and attractions. They emailed me back with a detailed itinerary that included everything from hotels, food, tickets, and everything else. After I agreed on the itinerary, all I had to do was show up! Our driver/guide Shan was always on time to pick us up each day and did a great job of driving in the crazy streets of Sri Lanka. The logistics of going from site to site, activity to activity was executed flawlessly was Shan. Whenever we arrived at a national park, site, or attraction, there was already a safari guide or site guide waiting for us. I have been on many tours like this in other countries and sometimes we get somewhere and have to wait for someone to show up. So I was impressed how well coordinated the entire trip was. This is something only a well established mature company can pull off. The car was also very comfortable (with A/C) and well stocked with water/snacks and was cleaned daily. I highly recommend this company for a great time in Sri Lanka without the hassle of the entire planning one would have to do by themselves.

We felt completely safe in Sri Lanka and would love to return and explore more of this beautiful country. Aaliya Tours Tours was excellent to work with both planning and during our trip. It was the best day I have had in Sri Lanka! I took the tour with Azmy who had his Trainee Adhil with him. Both took excellent care of me. They picked me up in the morning from my homestay in Kandy and the first stop was a large hindu temple. The next stop was a herbal farm and afterwards Dambulla. The last stop was Sigiriya, where I opted for going up the pidirangala rock. This saved me the 30$ entrance fee of the sigiriya mountain itself. All in all expect to pay about 2150 for the entrance fees in total and about a 1000 for lunch (we went to Road to Rock in Sigiriya). A stop at a herbal center was more of a sales tour but the explanation of what different herbs do was still interesting.

I had Azmy as my driver, guide and friend. I was travelling solo and everything was planned out to perfection. I felt safe while driving and in all areas. Azmy had lots of information regarding the places we visited, but also answered all of my questions that i had along the way. The accommodations they made for me were all very nice and the staff helpful and inviting. I've traveled many place and Sri Lanka has been my favorite so far, and that definitely has to do with the tour Azmy have and the helfulness of Zameek at Aaliya tours from beginning to end. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Aaliya tours to anyone looking to visit Sri Lanka and not want the hassle of driving - believe me you don't :D

Aaliya Tours is awesome. From the first time I emailed them for our amazing 9 day tour, it has been perfect. I appreciated the clear directions from Aaliya Tours on what to do at the airport to meet our guide and the phone call from the manager during our first day to confirm everything was going well. The tour also allowed flexibility which we loved. We did not have to stick to our original itinerary and Zameek was extremely helpful in making adjustments for us. When you are spending a week with anyone you get to know each other to some extent and when I needed to make a stop to a super market to pick up some personal supplies, Zameek was professional and kind in helping me. The accommodations we picked with their help were all excellent, 98 acres and the Flameback eco lodge were our top two for how unique of properties they are and special. The safari in Udawalawa was AWESOME! You can go to a "normal" hotel anywhere so to have a truly unique experience was important to us and they delivered. Safety: We are Americans and felt beyond cared for each and every step of the way, it was still scary to come after the tragic situation over Easter week, but with Aaliya Tours as our guide and specifically Zameek we never had to worry and never felt alone. Zameek always stayed with us at each location and made sure we got checked into our rooms without incident and was early to pick us up each morning at our agreed upon time. I also had his contact information if I should need him for any reason. I would come back in a heartbeat as mentioned and would book through Aaliya Tours again. Trip of a lifetime, get out and travel, the world is a wonderful place filled with kind hearted people ready to show you their country. Sri Lanka is a hidden treasure. I wanted to say thank you to my awesome driver,Azmy for making my 40th birthday a memorable one. He went beyond the limit of just driving to where I wanted to go on that day...but he also did something nice like buying a king coconut for me and a birthday cake. What a day?! Where do I start. First let me say I have been on A LOT of tours and this, hands down, was honestly the best! Zameek was quick to respond to my booking, providing information about my pick-up and open to any questions I had. As a woman traveling alone in a foreign question it’s always a bit uncomfortable not knowing who will show up at your hotel for the tour but as soon as Zameek greeted me with a huge smile and hello I was put totally at ease. I had thought that I had just hired a tourguide/driver for the day, but as I learned of Zameek’s life experiences as a restaurant operator, security guard and chef I felt like a celebrity traveling with an entourage of knowledge and help all rolled into one person. In a land of crazy drivers, Zameeek’s driving was excellent and I felt totally safe with him at the wheel. Our first stop was to a Hindu temple where Zameek gave me a walking tour and explained all the statues, various gods and history of the temple. He was happy to take photos of me, which was a novel and wonderful highlight as someone traveling alone. The temple was amazing with over 1000 statues and somewhere I would have never gotten to see on my own. We then moved on to Dambulla to see the Buddhist temple and giant golden Buddha. Zameek shared some of the history and even accompanied me up the stairs (all 364) to snap photos of me, and help me navigate the site. He gave clear instructions as to where to meet him, and was incredibly flexible with time, making sure I never felt rushed. We then ventured to a spice garden and I got to see how different spices are farmed, and even got to sample some of the many uses of the spices. Zameek offered to stop wherever I wanted at the roadside shops and even made suggestions. He was who introduced me to my first red banana after he graciously purchased some for me to try and to take home. Since he had been a chef I had requested he choose a lunch spot for me. We went to Road to the Rock and it was phenomenal. Just the kind of treat I had hoped for from someone who had studied cooking. I’ve been on tours that just stopped wherever they had a set point and mediocre food. But in taking to Zameek, I realized we shared the same passion for food and his choice definitely did not disappoint. My only regret was not taking a picture of the food to share here! After filling my belly we then moved on to Sigiriya. Again, Zameek chaperoned me to get my ticket and took photos of me at the UNESCO world heritage site. Upon finishing my climb, there he was; waiting patiently for my return in the visitor parking lot. Seeing as I was a bit tired from the climb, he was happy to stop and grab me a snack and offered for me to nap if I wished to. I had such an enjoyable chat with him on the way out, I truly preferred to continue chatting with him on the way back to the hotel. I was then safely deposited back to my hotel with a HUGE smile on my face. The experience was once in a lifetime and although the sites were amazing, it was the care and help of Zameek that made this a truly phenomenal experience. I would recommend his tour company to ANYONE thinking of touring Sri Lanka. Although my tour was only a day tour we packed soo much in. I felt like we had missed nothing I wanted to see. My only disappointment was that I didn’t know how wonderful his tour would be before I made my arrangements for Sri Lanka because honestly, I would have wanted more days for his tours. Had an excellent private tour with driver/guide Zameek. Very friendly and knowledgeable, speaks very good English and drives very safely. The tour company seems very flexible and will take you to extra places on the way if you wish and pick you up/drop you off at your hotel or in town. Excellent choice Seven of my friends and I went for a one-week trip with Aaliya Tours. The tour offered a broad spectrum of experiences, like scenic train ride from Nurawa Eliya to Ella, wild safari in Yala National Park, spectacular blue whale watching off Mirissa shore, and of course the classical trip to ancient temples in Kandy, Lionrock palace in Sigiriya, beautiful tea plantation near Nurawa Eliya and great fort in Galle. We enjoyed the local, western or even Chinese-style cuisine so much; thanks to our thoughtful tour Driver/guide Ilham Rameez who took us to different restaurants. We were comfortable with transporting in a good-condition mini-bus with 10+ seats, though the road condition can be challenging. Before the tour, Azmy did a great job in providing quick response to answer our questions and address concerns. In summary, an enjoyable tour experience with Aaliya Tours. We will very likely get another tour from Aaliya Tours in next trip to Sri Lanka.

Flexible and Service oriented- We booked a short tour (2 days) with Aaliya Tours and they were excellent. We were picked up as promised from the airport and they took us as we planned. They were also very accommodating to our requests to change parts of the itinerary as well as suggested additional items/attractions to do on our way. We travelled to Sri Lanka this month for 3 days and 4 nights and made trips to Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Colombo. I checked several random sites and came across several positive reviews about Aaliya tours from Google. Needless to mention, I had put across my requests to them regarding places we desire to visit and within a day they prepared my itinerary and we were able to do our bookings accordingly. Everything went as per our itinerary and we were able to cover most of locations. Their service and hospitality was very efficient and we were provided a Toyota KDH for the whole journey which added to the comfort of our journey. Had a transfer booked with this company. Shamil was our driver and he went above and beyond what was expected, a real gentleman. He stopped a couple of times throughout our transfer from Kandy to Colombo for us to try local street food which was an amazing addition to the transfer that we did not expect. Would highly recommend and definitely would use again if I was to ever come back to visit Sri Lanka.
