What a great place! Hidden in the jungle, butique hotel with an incredible view both from the room terrace and dining area. Only 4 rooms, with a big swimming pool. We were treated like kings. The staff was very helpful and the food was delicious. Next time I come for a whole week to enjoy the retreat atmosphere there.

Stunning mountain view with waterfall at property. Small resort with 4 rooms so nice and intimate in the forest. Staff was kind and helpful, we were pleased to learn rate included both breakfast and dinner which were excellent. I will be dreaming about that pork chop. Overall we felt the hotel was nicer in real life than the photos but the price is high compared to surrounding properties and should be lower.

I stayed here on 7/01/2023 and lost the gold necklace around my neck. I came to know about it when I returned. But I informed the owner Mr. Sarath over the phone and he found the gold necklace from where it had fallen and returned it to me. Given to..I really appreciate the support shown to me by the staff including him and I highly recommend this place. Also very comfortable attractive place..Appreciate the kind and honest service..

It's a quaint little place with just 4 rooms. Clean, good food and great personalized service. Very good for a weekend gateway with family. The road is a bit difficult to drive but once you are there, the place is good.

Just stayed here for one night of a tour.(late Oct) We felt privileged to be there because if we "d been on a bigger tour it would not have been possible. Only 4/5 rooms . All alongside the pool. We were the only guests. Staff were wonderful. Our tour package included breakfast and dinner-both made to order and delicious. Each room has a large balcony to really enjoy the views. Rooms are large and clean and have everything you need. The room reminded me a little of hill station places I have stayed in India. A nice addition would be tea making facilities , however I'm sure staff would be happy to make tea/coffee for you.

The most impressive thing here at the Forest Edge is the services you get from all the staff here. They are friendly, courteous, and helpful. Hotel is where serenity lies across the lush forested land that bordering the stunning waterfall.ย Rooms are clean and spacious. Wide variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Excellent service. Love swimming pool. Special thanks goes to the Manager Mr. Sanjeewa Sarath Perera for making our stay a pleasurable one. Hats off to all of you'll.

You have to stay here without a doubt if you are looking for options pre or post your water rafting experience. The rooms are clean. You are literally in the forest. Fantastic View from the balcony. The rooms are near and clean. Food is extremely homely. Mr Shiva is really amazing with his smile and a hospitable nature. We were there only for 1 Night but definitely wanted to stay here for 1 more Night. They have a clean swimming pool too. Wishing them all the very best

This is a very remove very small hotel. Only 4 rooms I think. The views over the valley are spectacular and there is a large porch across the front of the rooms. Nice place to sit and relax. The pool at the back is very nice and clean. Rooms are very basic. Bathrooms are of open shower type so very damp and mouldy. The bed and furniture is all quite old. Probably a good retreat if you are so inclined. Food is individually made and very basic. Obviously also very slow but they can't be blamed for that. All up I'm not sure why you would stay there? Oh, be aware of the leeches and frogs

We had a nice week end in this place. Staff was so friendly and given us superb hospitality. Owner Mr. Sarath always given us a good support. Even though one of our friends gold chain was lost in the pool. After few minutes they ware confirmed they found it, and keep it in safely for handover to the owner. I love the nature surrounded by misty mountains. Very calm and silent clean environment. Rooms are also cleanly arranged. Wishing to wisit agin this place. Highly recomended.

Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was the horrible state of the pool. The water was a green/brown colour. We were told that it was like that due to the natural water in the area. After our first night someone was cleaning the pool getting rid of the algae that had set in. Not sure how one was supposed to enjoy the pool as with all the cleaning and chemicals needed it would take a good 2 days as well as there were no deck chairs nor tables. On the website it indicated king bed. It actuality was two singles pushed together without even a bed topper so you would slip between the beds at night. The blankets used on this bed were full of hair and when asked for a blanket it came with blood stains on it. The hotel did not sell beer as far as we know so we were allowed to buy our own and use their fridge. What we found inappropriate was when one of the employees asked for one of the apple beers as he had never tried one. At dinner we asked for a side of deviled chicken with our pasta dish. We were charged 1450 lkr even though we were on half board. That price was the full price of a meal. While at the hotel we inquired about the laundry services they offered. We were advised that it would cost us per item which came to 1700 lkr which we had no issue with until they told us it would cost an additional 1600 lkr to have tuk tuk take it to the plantation hotel and back. We delivered our laundry to the plantation ourselves and when it was returned it wasnt even folded. On the menu the hotel offered cappuccino and espressoย  but it was not available due to covid which really had me confused. Lastly, in our room we had our bathroom wall which was covered in ants and that we had to kill on a nightly basis.ย  We asked the staff to spray but it didn't help. I understand we were the first clients since covid.ย  You would think the hotel would go above and beyond for their first clients and to make sure all is clean and in order and ready to go.
