The place was so dirty and the owner was too bad too. I booked one room with twin bed and i called him in advance to go there. When I arrived he told me that the room i booked was already occupied and asked me more money to give another room or asked me to find another place. Finally he gave me such a dirty room without cleaning. The wash room was so bad. The most worst room i have ever been into. Disgusting. They haven't removed the trash inside the room and there were some foods which were spoiled for few days. And all around the room there were cigarette filters. And eventhough they have mentioned that they will provide towels and bedsheets they didn't give us anything. No hot water too. All in all its not worth of atleast for about 4 USD. Idk what, there were blood dots like thing on the floor everywhere. I will never recommend such a place to anyone.

The owner is the worst. I spoke to him before going to the hostel and he told to come in the morning. So in the morning before I left my previous place I texted him saying I'm coming and he told to come but when I arrived at the hostel the owner wasn't there. After calling him he told to sit in the lobby and wait till he comes at night to give the key. What a scumbag, highly recommend not going there, even the place was dirty and not even worth 2usd, better off the sleep on the road

Very unprofessional behavior by the owner. He cancelled our confirmed booking by saying the hostel is closed! And that too without any explanation. We had reached in Kandy and had nowhere to go.. Never book this hostel. You might be stranded on the road like us!

Don't go. We didn't get a room, even though we booked days in advance. The owner manages the hostel from the phone (weird) so we wasted time waiting for him in order to find a room. He proposed another hostel where the average review score on Google is 1 (!!). Then when we decided to just leave and find another place, he tried to film or record us saying that everything was fine, and tried to physically prevent us from leaving. Weirdest experience ever in a hostel. Don't go.

AVOID THIS PLACE! After booking they asked me for my ETA and my whatsapp. I provided both and arrived at the place at the time I indicated. The place was closed, a locked gate and super empty. It seems it doesn't work at all, but they are on booking platforms trying to catch some customers. I called many times until a guy with almost no english picked up. He started to tell me to go somewhere else to meet him and some other nonsense. I had to book somewhere else. The location is awful too, not worth going there under no circumstances.

We just stay one night in this hotel, but it was very confortable. The owner and his son are very kind and honest people. The balcony is very Nice and in the morning it was amazing for us to see all the monkeys in the trees :) very simple hotel, we had separate room, we spend a good night there, it was very quiet, the price is very cheap and we will go again if we go back to kandy.

It is the cheapest in Sri Lanka 2 dollars the night but you have to live with 12 more people, it is dormitory. There are 2 toilets and 2 showers for all and a nice balcony. But staying in Kandy many days it is not interesting! You better go to visit the beaches. I recommend Pitiwella beach, it is 7 kilometers after Hikkaduwa!

Check in is at 2pm. We arrived after a long journey and our dorm beds were not made. Asked the reception guy who advised the owner would be there at 5pm, we spoke to him on the phone and he confirmed this. Still no owner until 7.30pm after being told numerous times he was on his way. When he did arrive he started arguing with us saying it was our fault as he didn't know we were not bringing our own linen or we should have told him we wanted sheets at check in before arrival... He was rude and very challenging towards us. The bathroom is disgusting, don't think the sinks have been washed since opening, no toilet roll, place is so loud at night especially if in the bottom floor. There is rats and I also had bugs in my bed. The owner did apologise finally and we were due to stay 2 nights for 1400 and he gave us it for 900 as a sorry however after a rubbish night sleep we checked out the morning after the first night. The price you have to love but trust me it's just a bed and nothing else.

Place is dirty and seems as if it had been abandoned for a number of years. Noisy at night , open to mosquitoes and no decor, the room was pretty grim

The place is not cleaned enough, beds should be improved actually cannot recommend for both local and international tourists. NOT RECOMMENDED

Great value for money! I stayed 2 nights in Central City Hostel and I enjoyed my stay. The place is walkable distance to the centre of Kandy (~10 min walk), spacious & clean, with hot water and modern bathroom facilities. The owner is super nice and kind :) I can recommend this hostel to anyone travelling low cost.

Lovely, clean, cheap hostel. Words not often found together. This is budget accommodation at its finest. There are lots of mosquitoes, as there are all over Sri Lanka and there does tend to be a bit of noise. But the view is great, the location could not be better and the atmosphere is great.

The moment i entered with my foreign friend the rooms were not clean and the bed covers had yellowish patches do not know from what! My friend refused to stay here because it looks so unclean and unkept. 0 for cleanliness

Except from the location the hospitality for the guests is very poor as we have to wait for bed sheets 7 hours. The Manager was not there and after so many telephone calls arrived late and started arguing with the foreigners guests.

I was standing on the door for about 30 mins they didn't respond to the bell later when i called the owner coz i needed a room badly later she picked it up said its close bt it wasn't its better to Go To Nap Station Which is around 1.3 Km from The Bus Station Nice and Awesome Dormitory option

Good for the price, you can’t beat it really. You definitely get what you pay for though. Don’t expect any luxury, but if you’re on a budget then this is a great place. Excellent location close to town. We stayed in a private room and the beds were a little bit hard and the internet didn’t work in our room. Toilets and showers are also not the cleanest. But we paid less then $5usd a night, so can’t complain about it.

An amazing place to stay, relax and meet new people. The owner is very kind and caring. The place is very clean, cozy and well-maintained. Just a few minutes walk to the city center but quiet and serene. Bed sheets were new and crisp, beds very good. You also have a chill out terrace with a small kitchen and an amazing view. high quality for low price. Highly recommended to travellers!

Host was lovely and accommodating. Small kitchen outside with hot water!! Nice balcony, lots of places to clean yourself, at least three bathrooms!! I do not usually like hostels but I loved this one, you feel safe and comfy! Great value for money. There is also a delicious bakery with good prices about 4 minutes down the road. Not too far from centre.
