A pleasant place full of tea aroma. Every tea lover should definitely visit this place. Beautiful and kind guides who will guide you through the entire building and explain and show everything in detail. And it's all free, which surprised us a lot. At the end of the entire tour, you will be invited to a cup of local and, by the way, luxurious tea, which is again free of charge. As a souvenir, you can buy teas from the tea factory, and I am sure when I will drink a cup of this delicious tea at home, I will remember this great place.

I didn’t reserve and visited by bus from Kandy. Bus price was 80 and 15 minutes walk. When I arrived the factory, they were welcoming to do factory tour and it was private. Then I could ask many things and the guide gave me a time. Well explain and tea was good. Then I did shopping after tour. They were not force to buy. However I enjoy the tour and I bought some tea.

Last minute visit around 5pm and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a lovely guide take us around the factory and explain the entire process of how tea is made and showed us the machines live in action. The entire experience lasted around 30-45 minutes. Then we had the chance to try different black tea as they’re all different according to the leaf, and time and process it’s made. We loved the strongest black tea BOPF and the silver tea. They have a cafe upstairs with food and drinks, and lots of tea for sale. Plus a small shop outside and lots of parking. Very clean toilets and great toilets! Ps they even have a new modern machine that separates the tea according to the color of leafs. Some of the machines were almost 200 years old and working perfectly! It’s a must visit! Free entrance!

"Visiting the tea factory was a fascinating experience. Learning about the intricate process of tea production, from plucking the leaves to packaging the final product, was both educational and engaging. The guided tour provided insights into the history and cultural significance of tea in the region. Walking through the factory floor and witnessing the machinery in action was quite eye-opening. The highlight, of course, was the tasting session where I got to savor a variety of aromatic teas. If you're curious about the origins of your favorite brew, a visit to a tea factory is a must."

It's a very nice factory to visit and know more about how they make tea. Also the staff are very friendly and so kind. If you want to buy some tea you would notice that it's a bit expensive here, but it's really good and original and of high quality. They also have a very good and tasty Jaggery.

Lovely girl from the factory team provided us and made interesting excursion for us. At the end we got cup of supertasty tea and were able to buy tea products. I fully recommend. Their kindess and hospitality was absolutely warm❤️.

They offer a free factory tour and tasting which is nice to learn about the process of tea production, but aside from that the tea they serve and sell is suspicious. The teas in the tasting were not the best quality, yet marketed and sold at premium prices. Theres another tea factory under a different brand name just down the street with the exact same scheme - free guided tour and tasting ironically with the same branded products at the store.

The tea factory visit is stunning. But, do not eat here. We wanted to have lunch, to repay somehow the free visit, and is the first time in my life I leave the table with not touching the food.
