A beautiful hotel situated by the river - Sudu ganga a tributory of Mahaweli river. Easy to reach by train or road just 2km from Nawalapitiya town. Well maintained rooms, pool and garden. Natural rock pool in the river adjacent to the hotel provides chance to enjoy swimming and bathing in clean cool water. Sudu gala waterfall is very thin due to prevailing drought. Ample safe parking available within the premises. Spacious reception hall is suitable for wedding ceremonies. Food is tasty. Staff friendly, curteous. Good place for family gatherings. Wi-fi facility available .

The experience I had here was quite unique and enjoyable. Most intriguing element here is the natural water sliding fall located adjoining to the hotel, with direct and easy access from the resort. This fall is a part of the Mahaweli river and it is a really beautiful, scenic and calming natural place. It feels like this fall is a part of the resort itself. You can sit by the fall and enjoy, or you can get in the water as well. The resort management supplies safety equipment too, if necessary. Also this resort has a well designed large pool. We spent hours bathing inside the river, following a swim at the pool. The food at this place were exceptionally good and delicious, with a wide range of choices available. The rooms were very clean and cosy as well. We did not need to turn the air conditioner on because it was naturally cold. Our villa was located next to the fall, and we could hear the sound of flowing water throughout the night, which I found quite relaxing. There was also a riverside cabana where our group could get together and have a private evening. Overall, this place was amazing and I had a really great time. The experience was entirely worth it. I would love to visit again.

If anyone plan to select this place as a quarantine center, please don't. No hot water. Good foods. They provide kiribath + cordial in our first day.

I went there for my friends wedding.Place is nice and food is at accepted quality. But few adjustments are needed. Entrance was close at the time of wedding and no security officer was available at gate on that day. Buffet arrangement was poor. Only one single plate was provided and salads are at front. If you want salad and main meal you had to take plates here and there or to skip salad.

Good Location. Far away from Kandy area. The location on the Google map is not accurate. If you visit there according to the google maps, you will have to turn your vehicle back.

We visited your hotel a few months ago and I wanted to share our experience. The location of the hotel is indeed beautiful, and the rooms were clean with nice views. However, we were extremely disappointed with the level of service provided. During our stay, a government minister was also present at the hotel, which seemed to result in limited access to various facilities. We were not allowed to visit certain areas, including the pool, due to this VIP guest. Additionally, instead of a buffet, meals were delivered to our room. The quality of the lunch provided was subpar, resembling that of a roadside hotel. Furthermore, we had to wait for 5 to 10 minutes for curry refills. Compared to other hotels and resorts we have visited, this experience was by far the worst. We expected better service and a more enjoyable stay.

We went there in February 2023. It is one of the best stays I ever had. The staff is very attentive. The gem of the hotel is nearby waterfall. You can have a natural bathing experience without any trouble. Our room situated near the waterfall therefore much away from the restaurant. But we enjoyed the walk. Staff always encouraged us to dine inside the room. The service was great. Many thanks for Mr. Chinthaka.

Beautiful waterfall on one side of the hotel makes this absolutely unique in Sri Lanka. The room I stayed was brilliant with a spacious hot tub. Excellent for couples. It's the only good hotel in Nawalapitiya.

Went with about 30 strong group of the Peradeniya University Engineering Alumni and families. Adjoining river with slide like waterfall was super. Hotel provided rope and life jackets for additional safety. Food was great. Huge spacious rooms. Toilet vent system needs attention. Entry was difficult for our big bus. Recommend clearing tree branches and bushes obstructing river view.

Nice location. I was the only guest in the hotel. Room is nice. Bathroom could have been better. Hot water supply in bathroom was inconsistent. My driver's room was overpriced and had no water in bathroom. The food is okay. The reception staff needs to be more professional. WiFi is a big problem.

Horrible service. Though nicely built in a good location, all services are horrible. I booked asked for a family room for my family. Offered me a tripple room. But after going there only found a double bed. They refused to move in a bed for me. Asked for BB but they offer only FB. Staff with no manners. NEVER EVER go there. They will ruin your holiday.

Nice place to visit and had a great time at Okwin Resort. The foods are delicious, and the location is beautiful. I highly recommend this place to visit. The packages are reasonable, but the a la carte menu is quite expensive. Overall, everything else is good.

Terrible. I went here today with office staff and I was the organizer and coordinator. The staff was very good but the management was terrible. I am extremely displeased and has an unpleasant experience with the hotel. It was as if they wanted to us out of the hotel as soon as possible. I have no words to describe the extreme terrible service and the management teams. I wouldn’t recommend anyone this place. They charge for drivers quarters and food but Treated the driver extremely badly. They have given him pol sambol and rice and another meal just fish curry all over the plate with a lot of manioc and rice. This is not the way any one needs to be treated. Even the room bed sheets were dirty and not cleaned well. I was clearly visible that they don’t clean the rooms as often as they tell. Our whole group had different levels and events with unpleasant experience. The additional meal which we paid for do the whole staff was extremely disappointing and utterly saddening. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. ITS CLEARLY VISIBLE THAT THEY DO NOT PRIORITIZE THE VISITORS THEY JUSY WANT MONEY AND TELL LIES TO BRING IN GUESTS. I would never recommend this place to anyone or even visit this place ever again.

We had our annual get together at okwin resort nawalapitiya. Our group was 45 and we reserved 21 rooms. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. There was a good spread of buffet for both dinner and the breakfast, children too could enjoy well. Staff is friendly and arrangements were made on time according to our requirements. Adjoining water fall is fascinating. It’s worth for the money we spent.

Okwin resort is a resort with a hall and rooms. You can arrange your weddings, reception, engagement, birthday parties and any get together for a limited crowd. A best place to take out door shoots. You can enjoy your holiday with nice river site view by hiring rooms. Comfortable and neat rooms. Enough and safe vehicle park. Delicious foods. But only the problem is it is nearly 2km from Nawalapitiya town.

Place is great, I took the suite and it's great. The service is not the greatest but it was ok... Had a great time there. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food, I would say it's average.

Compared to the location and the area, you will get a fairly good deal/stay/visit. Not the 4-5 star luxury, but still can be rated at least 3 star resort kind hotel. Anyway, In Sri Lanka, these people using RESORT for a different meaning. This hotel isn't located in a Resort area. They have meant boutique hotel. Good Place. Pool is there. Accessibility a bit far from town. Still worthy.

Although the hotel location is great and scenic, it has clearly violated the environmental regulations of local authorities. The concrete jungle has taken away the nature view of the river bank. The owners can escape from the Sri Lankan law but can never from the Nature Law.

Overall I don't think it's worth it. Hotel is accessible with carpeted roads, located right next to a waterfall. Only upstair room have direct view of the fall. Not much else to do around the place. As for food, western dishes were terrible but local dishes were good. Spacious bathroom with a tub which is a plus but no use and the room is a let down with terrible positioning of bed making the stay awkward. Balcony area could have been cleaned as it was full of dust. I'd never go there again.

Hotel is located in a lovely place. But the food was horrible. Hot butter cuttlefish was the worst. There were no one to pick up our luggages after we checked in. Management was poor. Room boys were friendly and helpful. Although we were offered with two options for breakfast (Sri lankan / Western) at the time of check in, F&B manager just informed us during dinner we have no options but just to go with western since they are preparing only that for breakfast.Which is unacceptable. I raised this matter during the check out. Rooms were clean. Pool was in good condition.

2 to 3 km road to hotel is narrow. Hotel situated near to sudugala falls. Check-in was quick. The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. Our room was a presidential suite, we saw mini waterfalls from the room, it was amazing. Lunch was good but for dinner, they gave only two options for the main course. Only English breakfast is available in this hotel but that is also tasty. Restaurant staff agree to give food in certain time but failed.
