Punjabi Affair has been serving delicious and authentic Punjabi food in the city for over 6 years now. They have opened up again post the lockdown and I was invited here for a food tasting. We started off with the soups - the vegetable soup and the chicken Manchow soup. Given that they are primarily a Punjabi the Chinese soups were decent. We then started off with the appetizers. The first one was the Paneer Tikka which is quite popular among vegetarians. We then had the Chicken Malai Tikka which was quite flavorful and marinated well with spices. The Tangdi Kebab was another appetizer that I really enjoyed. It had the hint of coriander and ajwain that added to the flavor profile. Now let’s move on the main course. The main course was by far one of the best that I have had in terms of Punjabi food. The Dal Makhani was thick and creamy filled with the dal and spices that were slow cooked overnight. The butter chicken was quite good with a hint of sweetness and went well with the soft stuffed kulcha. The Patiala Chicken had delicious juicy chicken cooked and wrapped inside an omelette that was soaked in the flavors of the gravy. The Paneer Malai gravy was quite rich and has be enjoyed with the butter naan. Last but not the least their Lassi is a must have. Served in a tall glass the thick lassi has flavors of saffron and garnished with crushed almonds. The food was definitely great but their service needs to be stepped up a notch. This should definitely be on your list if you savor Punjabi food.

Literally a paradise for North Indian food lovers Paneer, naan, dal makhani, patiala Lassi. Everything have an authentic taste of North India cuisine. Lassi is a must try if you love dairy products. Paneer Tikka Masala is really good Avoid Kadai Paneer

Came here with my friends on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Ordered Tandoori Roti, Butter Naan, Garlic Naan, Paneer Butter Masala, Chilli Paneer and Dal fry. Paneer Butter Masala was amazing, quantity kind of sufficient for 4 people. Giving it a 4/5. Chill paneer for starter was also decent, shall give it a 3.5/5. Tandoori Roti and Dal Fry were not great, would give it only 2/5, but Garlic Naan and Butter Naan deserve a 4/5. Patyala Lassi was amazing and everyone liked it a lot, so that would be 5/5. We were not given complimentary salad like the other tables. For non vegetarians, my friends recommend Patiyala Chicken and gave it a 5/5. Ambience was overall ok, interiors were Punjabi themed and seems okayish, basically place seemed to be a bit old and it's high time they revamp the interiors. There is even one special kind of Punjabi styled bed seating which is on first come first serve basis. Service was fine, but prices were on the higher side and taste food served is not worth for that much price. Limited parking outside, scooters and bikes can be parked, cars cannot. Would we come back again? Maybe if prices go down and quality of food can improve. Variety also should he increased, it was pretty low compared to other Punjabi restaurants.

Terrible experience of having a cockroach in my dal. The cost of items in this restaurant is so high but the hygienic conditions are so bad. This is (now was) one of my go-to restaurants in Hyderabad. We should rethink the quality of food served by high-class restaurants after pandemics.😫

Ordered through swiggy. Food is below average. Every item is bland no salt no spice. Quantity given is very veryyyyy less. Starter is in the bottom of the box. Pulav box is very small for price. Too much price for too little quantity and taste.

This is an amazing place to have lunch or dinner with your family and friends as this place offers you with mind blowing delicious Punjabi food along with other cuisines. The butter chicken, kadai paneer, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, stuffed Naan and butter naan were damn delicious. You must try the special Lassi and mango lassi over here they're to sir for. If you're in the Madhapur area this is the palce to be.

Being a punjabi, i always crave for punjabi food. As the name says “punjabi affairs” I visited this place with much expectations. But it didn’t turn out as i was expecting. I am not sure, why they have added so much Chinese items in their menu. It really doesnot go out with the name of the restaurant. Coming to punjabi food, yit was good. The only thing which disappointed me was their Chinese side. Lassi is de a must try. Another suggestion to restaurant is to maintain little cleanliness especially the handwash and restroom areA. Also to add up, their google location is wrong, which may end ip frustrating you.

A great Punjabi accent restaurant with dhaba style ambience. Loved the food. Had visited the place to have some vegetarian dishes. It didn't disappoint and menu suggestions from the staff was good. Ordered Crispy chilli Mushroom, Butter garlic Naan and Paneer Patiyala. And don't forget to grab some Patiyala Lassi..that's the restaurant's highlight. Prefer considering the restaurant for non veg. Sounds fun to have those in a Punjabi style.

Came for dinner with my friend. We loved their Punjabi style mains which were amazing with lots of flavour, very impressive for a punjabi restaurant in Hyderabad. We tried butter chicken & garlic naan, which was delicious… followed with Chicken biryani, which was the worst I have ever had, all dried up, cold & flavourless. The prices are also little on the higher side as compared to the other factors. The restaurant is absolutely good for Punjabi food, but I would not recommend you to try any kind of biryani here. Lassi you can definitely try!! Also, the service was below average and the ambiance was quirky & funny try. I guess, it is better for take away than dine-in.

Food is great and many options you have. Washrooms are the ugliest, management is so reluctant to even clean them . The wash basin wasn't cleaned for days. The toilet wasn't flushed in a while and people were still using it. I don't even want to guess how hygienic the kitchen might be after looking at the washrooms. All the best.

The food is very sweet. Too much sweet. We ordered chicken kebabs , naan with butter chicken and chicken biryani. I would rate kebabs 5/5 , naans 4/5, Biriyani 1/5 . The biryani here just tastes like kichidi. We also ordered sweet lassi which we couldn’t complete because of over sweetness. I forgot to mention, we also ordered hot and sour soup which was very tangy and filled with tomatoes. It actually didn’t taste like hot and sour soup. The ambience is pretty decent.

Food I can give 4 But the service was too lag...we have to wait for so much time we visit here often but last time when we visited 3 days back the staff was changed and waiters still don't know how to serve properly...even thou they are taking new ppl with unemployment is quiet good aspect to think.. Ok BTW we ordered Tandoori chicken Veg tawa biryani it is nice and spicy but after a few hours me and my husband felt little stomach ache bcoz of the oil or butter I don't know.. very heavy in stomach.. even thou the taste was good.. The left we took parcel my cousin ate he also felt the same.. Training for staff should be properly given coz they should serve water first and then all salad or gravies whatever they give until u ask they don't serve...they have know the minimum qualities.. I hope next visit won't be bad...

It's a decent place to have good Punjabi food. Tried Paneer Tikka, Hara Bara Kebab and Cheese Mushroom Kurkure. The paneer was soft and good. The kebab was decent. Cheese Kurkure was a disappointing one. Hardly had any mushrooms. In main course, I've tried Paneer Butter Masala. It was decent. Their Garlic Butter Naan was nice. Didn't like their Paratha though. It was made out of maida. Even Paneer Tikka Biriyani was average. The paneer was chewy unlike their appetizer. Their Patiala Lassi is a must try. The service is poor. The ambience is similar to a Punjabi dhaba. Food: 3/5 (Lassi: 4/5) Service: 2/5 Ambience: 2.5/5 Price: 3.5/5

Pathetic place to have food. No taste in an item and more importantly the staff is not trained at all to provide even a decent service. Massive delays by them, forgetting items to bring, not able to talk to any of us properly and many more. The sitting area was not even clean

Nice ambience. Food quality is good. Food served is downright delicious. Quality served is appropriate. Servers are very polite. The only con is the food comes a little late. It is also a busy place, so advice on planning in advance during busy days. Apart from regular table chairs, there's also place for sitting with your feet crossed. Nice place for dinning in groups.

The food was okay, salt was a bit more and quantity was pretty good. What I liked the most was their casual environment with different kinds of seating and lots of Punjabi funny jokes.

Food - 3 Service - 4 Ambience - 3 Regular Punjabi style hotel: Lot of options, tried fish Amritsari which was decent, gravy, roti and naan were okay. Parking is limited. Prices are normal.

I had ordered food from punjabi affair on eve of my brother's bday which included Paneer tikka masala n Malai kofta,But it turned out to be disappointing,as the food was stale and was smelling bad.Guests complained about it too and it was an awkward situation.Complained to Zomato thrice, but they never took up the complaint seriously and told to contact the restaurant. When tried to reach the restaurant ,they didn't even lift the the call. So, Finally had to keep this review.@ Zomato n @ Punjabi affair , Please check the details attached and refund my amount. Please try to improve the service going forward. @ Zomato ,your agents provide the worst customer service.,attached screenshot of conversation for reference.

Home away from home. Whenever a person misses food from his or her mother’s hand this is a place to go i guess for north indians. The only negative part from me was that they also offer non-vegetarian food. Being a Jain I didn’t like the aroma of this place but food quality and quantity both were good. Would recommend for future as well.

One of Best theme restaurant in Hyderabad. Maintenance was good. We have ordered paneer 65 biryani and lassi. Biryani was good and quality. It's very near to metro station. It is located 1st floor of the building. Lassi was awesome and must try item. Staff interaction should be improved. Nice place to visit with friends and family. Thank you...

It used to be one of the best place for having Punjabi food. The ambience here is decent now. The main course items are better than starters. Do try their butter garlic naan which was quite good.

Overpriced 12 pieces of veg manchuria around 300 rupees and tasted complete salty. Dragon paneer - we can see the dragon when comes to the price, and not even a ant when comes to quantity Service is pathetic
