Coming to Gurudwara Alamgir Sahib brings great peace. Full arrangements have been made by the committee for those who are fond of langar. Ishnan in the sarovar calms the mind.

GURUDWARA SHRI MANJI SAHIB (ALAMGIR SAHIB) is situated in the Village Alamgir In Distt Ludhiana. SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI, after his four sons & mother were martyred by the Mughals, was going from Machhiwara on a bed as ” Uchh Da Pir” & reached here on 14 Poh 1761 Bikrami (1704 A.D.). On reaching here, one of the horse traders of the village named Bhai Nigahia Singh, gifted a horse to GURU SAHIB. Nabi Khan & Gani Khan were sent back with the bed. GURU SAHIB asked an old lady who was picking cow dung whether he could get some water from somewhere to take bath to which the old lady replied that ” Pir Ji this is a place of ruins, there is no water here. There is a well far away but there is a big python that lives there, no one goes there. GURU SAHIB Ji hit the python with an arrow & gave it “Mukti” ( exemption from further transmigration) & the python fell into the well. When the Sikhs went to fetch water, the water had gone bad so close to where GURU SAHIB was sitting, GURU SAHIB hit one more arrow & there was a water spring that came out & all the sikhs had a bath. On seeing this miracle, the old lady fell into GURU SAHIB’s feet & said “Peer Ji you are a wonderful Peer, I have a request. I have leprosy & I have gone to various places to get the treatment done but it has not been cured, kindly cure my disease & help me to get rid of this disease. GURU SAHIB said that whoever takes a bath under this water spring with belief, GOD will cure all his sadness. Then GURU JI sat on the horse given by Bhai Nigahia Singh & went towards Raikot. The old lady had a bath in that water spring & was cured. She went back to the village & told about the whole story. The place where Bhai Nabi Khan & Bhai Gani Khan kept GURU SAHIB’s bed, today at that place exists a beautiful Gurudwara known as Manji Sahib

Gurudwara Manji Sahib in Ludhiana District's Alamgir village reflects yet another landmark in the life of the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. The Guru was pursued by the Mughal Army and it was at the site where this Gurudwara now stands, where he paused and rested, blessing it with his presence. Gurudwara Alamgir is situated only 11 kilometers south of ludhiana Guru Gobind Singh, tenth guru of the Sikhs, stayed here for a short while. Upon reaching Alamgir, Guru Gobind Singh is reported to have shot an arrow into the ground; a spring appeared from that place (now known as Tirsar). He was also presented with a horse here by a devoted follower Bhai Nigahia Singh.

Gurudwara Manji Sahib, Gurudwara Bhora sahib and Gurudwara Teersar sahib all are inter linked and are inside common ground. These are beautiful Gurudwara in village alamgir. They also provide rooms for night stay so you can plan with family and get waheguru blessings in these gurudwara sahib. Main gurudwara building is under construction by kar-sewa. This is Sikh historical religious place related with our 10th Guru, Guru Gobind Singh jee.

Gurudwara Alamgir Sahib also known as Manji Sahib is a Sikh place of worship. Alamgir Gurdwara is situated only 11 kilometers south of Ludhiana along the Ludhiana-Malerkotla highway. It is constructed in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh ji who had spent a few days to refresh himself of the tedium of an unrelenting fight against the Machiavellian enemy. Alamgir Gurdwara stands at a place where Guru Gobind Singh stayed for a few days after covering journey full of hazards, due to presence of Mughal military contingents in the area. It is a holy shrine of the Sikhs which contributes its bit to the glorification of Sikhism. The festival at Gurdwara Manji Sahib of Punjab is celebrated in December every year.

The moment you set your mind free from the chains of the seven deadly sins of SLOTH, WRATH, GREED, ENVY, PRIDE, LUST & GLUTTONY, your soul will become pure and your vision will get clear and then you will be able to feel the presence of God inside you and His clouds of blessings will start showering rains of happiness on you giving you the most desired INNER PEACE. ➡️LOCATION: GURUDWARA SHRI MANJI SAHIB, LUDHIANA PUNJAB ➡️HISTORY: The tenth Guru of Sikhs Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji stayed here for a while. And the Manji (Palaki) that carried Guru ji is preserved in the place. It is reported that Guru Gobind Singhji shot an arrow in land from which a spring appeared and is now known as TISSAR. It is believed that whosover takes a dip in the holy water is cured from all the problems. It's the same Gurudwara which was shown in the movie Rang de Basanti where Aamir khans mother prays for him.

Gurudwara Punjab tour package aims to take you to the most famous gurudwaras in Punjab, from Amritsar to Anandpur Sahib. Each of the gurudwaras covered in this religious sightseeing tour has a unique history behind it. The gurudwara is the central place of worship and assembly in Sikhism. Every gurudwara consists of a Darbar Sahib where the holy book, Guru Granth Sahib, is placed on a takht (an elevated throne). Your tour begins with a visit to Sri Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple. Immediately recognisable by its golden dome, it is one of the holiest pilgrimage destinations in Sikhism. On the following day you get to visit Shri Tarn Taran Sahib, which was established by Guru Arjan Singh and boasts the largest sarovar, or, water pond, of all gurudwaras in India.

Must visit, Beautifully constructed in big area and have Lovely Sarowar with beautiful fish. Very tasty Langar every day helps to eat not just poor but everyone, though people donate more so it's going on by people money. Main Gurdwara has been replaced with newly constructed building. I personally have childhood memories specially bathing in Sarowar. It's very crowded on Sunday and on other holidays. Must visit once. You can visit and have Value and you can also enjoy and eat as much as you need FREE OF COST.
