just
completed
my
a
short
stay
at
The
Fern
Denzong
in
Gangtok.
Let
me
summarize
my
experience
and
feedback
for
this
hotel
-
overall
there
were
few
hits
and
misses.
Let
me
start
with
location
:
Very
good
location,
just
5
minutes
walk
from
the
MG
road.
I
was
with
3
years
kid,
it
was
overall
smooth
to
take
a
stroll
from
hotel
to
mg
road.
Room:
I
took
the
Fern
Club
room
which
was
really
big,
easily
accomodate
2
Adults
and
2
child.
There
was
twin
queen
size
bed
which
was
quite
spacious
to
accomodate
4
of
us.
Bathroom
was
clean
too.
However
the
view
was
roadside.
Very
few
channels
inhouse
,
so
better
to
rely
on
your
entertainment
yourself.
Wifi
was
ok
though.
Food
and
Restaurant:
Breakfast
was
good,
and
with
a
good
variety.
Even
buffet
option
was
sumptous.
They
were
quick
to
customize
in
case
u
are
with
kids.
Entrance
and
Parking:
They
have
nasement
parking
but
that's
very
steep,
if
you
aren't
a
trained
driver,
u
should
avoid.
90%
of
people
take
cabs.
Entrance
was
very
good,
they
have
small
bakery
at
entrance
with
good
options
and
outside
sitting
area.
They
also
have
Travel
desk
and
i
booked
most
of
my
sightseeing
thru
them
,
but
it's
costlier.
I
booked
with
them
since
I
didn't
wanted
to
take
any
chances
as
i
was
with
my
family.
Overall
experience
with
travel
desk
was
very
good,
especially
Mr
Sahil
from
Travel
desk
who
instantly
booked
our
cabs.
Ambience:
while
entrance
ambience
was
good,
floors
need
some
improvements.
Like
in
most
of
the
4
stars,
there
is
immense
soundproofing
that's
there
so
that
lobby
noise
is
not
reaching
the
room
but
over
here
room
lobby
didn't
had
soundproofing.
One
can
hear
outside
travellers
noise
from
your
room.
It
feels
like
a
dormatory
as
you
enter
the
rooms
lobby
area.
So
a
better
soundproofing,
lighting
can
improve
the
experience.
Cleanliness:
Here
are
some
improvement
area,
while
room
was
clean
but
it
was
not
spot
clean.
Corners
had
some
spots.
Also,
bedding
could
be
much
cleaner.
Junior
staffs
needs
special
mention
right
from
front
desk
to
housekeeping
and
other
departments,
were
really
humble
and
have
good
nature.
Customer
Handling
is
a
big
improvement
area
for
the
hotel.
One
examples:
one
of
the
very
weird
explanation
given
by
manager
as
upon
my
return
from
sightseeing
at
0330
PM
,
my
room
was
not
cleaned.
Clarification
was
that
first
checkin
rooms
are
made
up
and
then
they
take
care
of
occupied
rooms
,
I
mean
🙂??
Overall,
this
is
one
of
the
finest
hotel
if
you
are
in
Gurgaon.
Great
location
and
hospitable
staff,
however
if
they
can
work
on
outer
ambience
(soundproofing
etc
)
and
better
dealing
with
customers,
this
will
definitely
improvise
overall
customer
experience.
