At the very outset I would like to mention that I stayed here for two nights with two of my friends . Now,let us discuss specifically about this Hostel. Firstly, the location of this Hostel will trigger you to reconsider your decision of staying here because it is inaccessible via Taxi(Upper sichey road). Also if you're thinking of getting access through Lower Burtuk road then get ready for some unending phase of stairways adventure!!. Taxi will charge you around 300 rupees to reach MG road as it is at a considerable distance. Not at all recommended for Senior citizens due to the Algae infested Stairways. Secondly, we were offered a single blanket for three persons without any towels and bathroom slippers.They even refused to provide us with extra blanket considering the fact that we had booked a private room and even paid extra 500 rupees for the third person but they didn't provided any extra pillow, Bed or anything. Also, even after repeated request for room service they didn't show up. To conclude, if you want to experience something horrible and brutal then this is a place for you. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL

I stayed in Tag Along 2.0 for 1.5 months and still it's not enough! I have made a lot of friends there, had good conversation with them on topics which actually needs great attention! Every Saturday at Travel Cafe you will be surrounded with fantastic people singing and dancing with all of their energy and the gigs are performed by the local artists which are so amazing, unique. If you're staying in Kongchen, then you're lucky because the bathroom of that room is amazing! Most of the time i have spent in attic with total strangers who later became heart to heart friend. The place is full of positive energy and good people. Bhavana and Saran, I want to thank you guys for making this hostel such a lovely place. I want to extend my appreciation to the guys who are always looking forward to make your stay like home away from home! I have left a piece of my heart there! Tag Along 2.0 is nothing less than a home. Call it a home in itself. It's the people, who make every moment worth witnessing. The food itself will give you the right comfort for you to feel cozy as you let the mountains sink into you. The Tag Along travel arrangements couldn't be any better. They put in every effort to make your travel and experience seamless. The Travel Cafe is a MUST visit on Saturday's. The gigs are amazing, it is the right place to witness the Sikkim's heart!!

A great place for an extended stay in Gangtok. Especially for solo travellers. It has a lot of shared places to work and to relax and interact with fellow travelers. Plus many indoor and outdoor games too. The staff is very helpful, loved interacting with them and the furry friends. The dorms are spacious, plenty of open space round the property too. Loved the little wall murals scattered throughout the property. It's a bit away from everything, to do anything outside the hostel you need to climb up/down the stairs. That's the price you pay for beautiful views from the hostel. WiFi can get unreliable sometimes if you want to attend a lot of meetings. But 4G works brilliantly, both for Jio and Vi. Overall an excellent place to stay.

I miss tripper and the dogs while I write this review! It was such an amazing stay at this hostel. The people here (management) are so kind and provided great service. The food was great too, especially the french toast. You'll need some time to get used to the location, but it's honestly a great exercise and there is access to cabs. The view from the cafe area is amazing. My friend and I had an amazing experience and you, the one who is reading this review, I hope you have a great experience too :)

Stayed for 4 nights, and wish I was able to stay for a bit longer 💜 The hosts and the staff are very warm, welcoming and helpful. Kudos to Saran Da, Bhavna and Neeraj 💜 Also, the chef and the other staff were really sweet. You'll get some really good food here. It's near the DC court and it takes 20-30rs to reach MG Marg. Now, yes, I hated the stairs from the road to the hostel, but, I absolutely loved the property. The front balcony on the first floor, the cafe, the attic, the female dorm, the male dorm, everything was really beautiful. And, met some really amazing people here. Miss playing the guitar and the ukulele and playing with Puntex, Buntey and Kafka. Adorable friendly pets. Also, I forgot to carry my hairdryer but I was really amazed to see one in the washroom. Would love to get back soon 💜💜

Tag Along 2.0 is highly recommended for solo as well as group travellers. The food is amazing and the view from here is breathtaking. The rooms and dorms are very spacious and clean. Wifi is great. Multiple balconies and open spaces along with In-house badminton court! The culture is lively and inclusive along with several weekly activities and entertainment! Can't get better than this!

Visited in January, stayed for 2 weeks. Excellent service, timely provisions and extremely helpful people. Although have to walk a bit to reach the location, but not a negative if you like to walk. Easily accessible with cabs (those who want to walk to the Main Market can also do that, barely 25-30 minute walk). Will recommend to anyone visiting Gangtok.

It was my first solo trip to gangtok.. Was literally not aware of stay and all. But blindly I selected tag along 2.0 hostel. It was amazing. Rooms were absolutely clean and tidy, toilets were clean and hygiene. Pet friendly cafe and mountain view...,.. Overall very good experience..❤️

Tag along 2.0 is a unique place in Gangtok. It has a more familiar atmosphere with the many dogs and cats roaming around. The food is excellent. The view is amazing. The common areas have an innovative and make you feel at home. Showers and bathrooms work perfectly and are very clean. Only difficulty is distance and the hustle with the cab drivers to get there. If not for this, I fully recommend Tag Along.

After three months of traveling all over the country of India, I finally found a quiet and cozy place in this hostel. The staff I very helpful and nice. In the coffee are very often interesting guests from all over the country as singers etc. The food both in the coffee and in the hostel is very tasty. I can lovely recommend the hostel to everyone. The dogs make the atmosphere even more cozy. They are vaccinated.

We had a such a great and memorable stay there. “La la land” - room is a cosiest room I have ever stayed. And the views from the hostel is just marvellous. The amenities are top-notch - special mention to the flooring of the rooms, the carpet flooring is the best thing amongst the other. So thoughtful and equally clean. 🙂 The staffs are very polite, well spoken and friendly. All the people managing the property are very nice and they make sure that you have the most comfortable and memorable stay. Totally home like feeling in the hostel.

I stayed here as a solo traveller for 10-12 days which was an extension to my original trip cause of the amazing feels and hospitality here. Each of the dorm is beautifully crafted with so creative themes & all small details to make you feel comfortable in the laps of Sikkim’s mountains. From keeping hairdryers in each washrooms to providing personalised balcony to each dorm, the property & people have outdone themselves. It is a bit tricky to reach the hostel as you have to be comfortable with the stairs but what beauty comes easy peasy! The food here will keep you hooked easily. From local Nepali cuisine to amazing aloo dum & fried rice,everything is super tasty. The food makes you stay longer. How can I forget to mention the five pets in the hostel that keep you unbothered all the time!! Kudos to the best hosts that make you feel easy & comfortable—Amit,Saran,Dinesh,Bhavana,Prabhat Da,Sanjay Kumar paswan etc—-you guys are doing amazingggg❤️ In my head,booking my tickets back to Gangtok😉

Green, calm and very spacious, running hot water and working wifi. Their property is very well maintained and away from the chaos. A lot of places to chill around in the hostel, truly a gem of a place. Saran is very helpful and was quick to arrange my north sikkim trip. Had a great time, wish i stayed longer.

Most memorable trip I’ve had in a long time. The journey was exhausting, the resting place was all we needed and tagalong helped us through that part. The best part about Gangtok was tagalong. There is a cafe a bed to sleep on with friends the cats and dogs all added up massively in the memory . What more do u need when u have furry friends around The staffs were so kind, helpful, friendly & more. The hostel was so cozy with the perfect view to sip on ur favourite green tea. You have to experience it to understand this statement. Come and tagalong💓

Beautiful views, cosy dorms, great prices and service! I'd definitely recommend this place. Well communicated with the city centre (20 min by walk), Amazing food with plenty options to choose from. Spacious kitchen with possibility to cook your own meal.

It's a very beautiful hostel, and can accommodate a lot of people. They have an inbuilt restaurant and the dishes served are very tasty. The prices for staying are very reasonable and the ataff members are friendly. Very clean bedrooms and washrooms. Had a great time there

If you’re the one who loves to stay at hostels , then this is a great and amazing place to stay in gangtok. It’s away from the hustle bustle of the city, peaceful place to stay , work and enjoy the nature. One can reach the mg marg and market by walk also (So not too far from the main city). Highly recommended. The hosts Saran and Bhavana are very sweet and friendly. Loved the vibe of the place. I stayed there for 3 days , I wish I could’ve stayed for bit longer . Even the staffs are so polite and kind. Loved the food too. The best part is that they have kittens and they are so cute and friendly. Definitely you will fall in love with the kittens. Gonna visit again super soon.❤️

Even though I stayed there only for a couple of days, I am sold. The instructions to reach the place are crystal clear. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is spotless and well maintained. Pristine loos and floors. The dorm I stayed was in the attic. One could see the rain against the glass roof. It gets toasty warm in the mornings and cool at nights (This was in July). The living room/ dining are is great to get your work done (if on a workation), or meet fellow travellers who are always up to give you good advise or share their adventures. There are also spaces designed for solitude in tag along where you could meditate or get some "me" time. You could either pick up musical instruments if you play any, or board games, or just chill while sipping on some fruity fermented Tongba. Overall, an amazing place for every kinda. traveller. Would definitely go again.

I have stayed at Tag Along 1 and 2 multiple times and have had great experiences. The team does an amazing job at maintaining the hostel, making everyone feel at home and taking care of folks. One of the best places to be in Gangtok, Sikkim!

Amazing place, amazing people. Had the best week here. Great host, great hospitality. Saran helped us with all the cab facilities and suggest beautiful places to visit. Best part was waking up to a beautiful view every morning. Staff are extremely friendly. Do visit for great experience.

One of the best place to stay.... very welcoming and understanding people.... had the best stay. It was my 1st time in shared rooms tho it was with friends but still what an experience.... Outstanding hospitality! Keep on doing what you do, special and unique. Some people will love this hostel and some may complain about the steps up to it. But as everyone knows every journey begins with one step. This hostel has great people, great location and great presence. Stay for a week or two and Tag Along becomes your greatest friend.

Good wifi + Awesome Views, what else you need to work? Very spacious place, and lot of common space to chill and work. No work to do? They've got pets all around with whom you can play all day long. Didn't get a chance to play badminton though they have a court. Saran bhai has the contacts to all the right people in Sikkim to get anything done. 😅 Will visit again.

Amazing place to stay for youngsters. This place is the hostel you always wanted during your college days. <3 Very courteous staff. Food is really yummy here. The vibe here overall is very friendly and good. The rooms have an amazing view. The only drawback of this hostel is its accessibility. Often the taxis deny coming up till here and secondly, the stairs that you need to climb to reach the hostel are way too many especially when you return after a long tiring day of touring and sightseeing. But since the place and people here are absolutely warm and welcoming, it is perfect for a staycation/workcation :)
