seem
helpful
and
friendly
before
you
make
a
purchase,
but
that
amicability
seems
to
die
once
the
order
is
complete.
My
mother-in-law
purchased
a
handbag
for
me,
but
since
it
wasn't
in
stock,
the
sales
associate
offered
to
have
it
delivered
directly
to
my
home.
When
I
asked
about
delivery
times,
she
estimated
it
would
get
to
me
in
around
a
week.
Two
weeks
have
now
gone
by
without
a
peep,
and
since
then,
I've
been
given
the
runaround.
I've
made
calls
to
the
department,
urgently
requested
callbacks,
and
even
dialed
the
exact
sales
associate's
number
from
her
business
card.
Each
time,
it's
felt
like
I've
been
given
the
brush-off.
I'm
tempted
to
call
them
out
in
light
of
the
purchase
price,
but
the
truth
is
that
no
customer
should
be
given
such
a
hard
time,
regardless
of
how
much
an
item
cost.
What's
worse,
I've
had
both
friends
and
acquaintances
who
have
had
similar
issues
with
Neiman
Marcus
orders
-
wrong
shipments,
no
communication,
and
carelessly
packaged
or
damaged
luxury
goods.
Bottom
line:
Beware
of
placing
in-store
delivery
orders
here.
You're
better
off
purchasing
available
stock,
or
-
better
yet
-
someplace
else.
