First of all, don’t get fooled by the 5 star reviews. Not sure they are real . The majority of reviews don’t look real . But it’s keep coming….5 star reviews. This is what happened to me. So, I placed an order two weeks ago for my out- of - state guests because they wanted to try some Kerala food . Ordered goat curry, fish curry , fish fry, avial some chapati and Kerala rice . To be honest, the food was horrible . Me and my family got embarrassed in front of our guests. Nothing was fresh , all the food I received were left over from Sunday or kept in the freezer/ fridge for weeks . The food tasted old and no flavor at all . Goat curry was very chewy and rock hard with no decent meat in it . Only bones and rubbery stuff and fat . Where is the meat when I paid it $22 . I didn’t pay for the bones and the rubbery stuff . You can simply say you have no goat , why you charged me $22 and gave me bones and chewy stuff. The rice that I requested was Kerala rice . It was very mushy and old . I had similar incident with their foods before, but I let it go that time . Only thing ,that was good, the girl at the reception was very professional and polite. A word of advice. Stay away from this place .. they don’t care about you as a valued customer, they give you old / spoiled food . They only need your money .!

Would not recommend for catering services. Food was not prepared to our expectations. Flavors were all on the extremes (e.g. too much vinegar, or too diluted with cream). Staff could not even properly take note of when we wanted to pick up and delayed our event. All our guests were expressing how ill-prepared the food was. Some even had diarrhea after eating the food. Total embarrassment for us.

Very tasty Kerala food with unusual variety of "home made" dishes prepared with authentic spices and rich flavors. As far I know, Kuttanadan is a take-out/catering restaurant. Pretty sophisticated packaging to preserve freshness and aroma. Moreover, on-time delivery. Super friendly staff. We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Highly recommended.

Ordered from Kuttanadan for a large catering order for a party >50 people. From the day we met to place the order to the day to the day of the party, customer service was great! Food was delivered properly, on-time and with a hot storage option. We ordered the ‘BDF’ beef fry special for the first time, and all our guests loved it! The fish and beef cutlets were also a hit with everyone, and was the first to be finished- we should’ve ordered more! The price was right too👌🏽Thank you Jubi, Febin and team!

We tried their Beef fry, Chicken Chettinad and Kerala Porotta for take out. Their Porotta was very soft and much larger in size compared to tiny ones you get at other south India restaurants in the area. Good quantity of food as well.Definitely coming back to try more items from their menu.

Great food. The Mutton fry was out of this world. Chicken chettinad was good. Can’t say the goat biryani was great but above average. Sadly I was looking for Apam and Parotta but sadly was all sold out.

ordered lassi, goat biryani, parotta, chicken curry (bone). parotta and curry were good. however lassi was watery and tasted off. biryani had a to returned as there was strong flavor of oil and almost inedible. they made the biryani again but it was not very tasty. overall, experience felt a bit subpar.

Was at a meeting near this area yesterday morning and decided to do the takeout option to celebrate my wife’s birthday with my extended family…we live about an hour away (in upstate NY Rockland County) from this restaurant. This is what I had ordered for the impromptu party… Fish cutlets Beef cutlets Samosa chaat Lamb biryani Goat biriyani Boneless chicken biriyani Chana masala Chicken tikka masala Chicken 65 King fish fry Beef ularthyithu Fish curry Kappa (yucca) The food was ready for pick up on time. The price was great and the food was really tasty and delicious. We tried a lot of different kinds of dishes (see list above) intentionally and everything had a distinct and authentic taste. Everyone loved it. We will definitely be coming back for more soon as we often visit family and friends in the Queens / Long Island area.

We ordered kerala items for lunch from this place. Kerala veg meals, king fish, Chicken curry and Kerala porotta. Porotta was the best we ever had. Probably even considering the ones we had in India. It stayed soft even by end of day. Fish was very tasty. Chicken curry was very good(gravy was less, but lots of pieces) and Kerala meals was also good. Note that they don't have meals on menu. It was more of kerala veg dishes and rice put together. The number of items were less. But taste was very authentic and delicious. Also note, they don't have dine in. Will definitely order from here again. Heavily recommend this place for authentic Kerala food

Happened across this place searching for dinner. We ordered take out of Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, Lamb Briyani and Chapatti bread. 3 for 3. Food was fresh, delicious and service of picking it up impeccable. The food was kept in a lock box perfectly packaged. Got home and the portions was well worth the price. The Butter Chicke. Was delicious..every dish was really good. Will definitely eat here again.

Haven't tried all the items.. Though it is ok, I think fish fry, beef,porotta can improve..👍🏻 Kerala meals was good.

We really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. All the guests enjoyed the delicious food. Kerala Parotta was soft, fresh and larger in size. All the food items were yummy, hot and Scrumptious. Wow, ginger chicken was amazing!! Kids really enjoyed Parotta and Butter Chicken. Customer service was excellent. We would definitely recommend this place if you love Indian food. Have been ordering take out from Kuttanadan for over a year. It is maybe the most authentic Kerala cuisine served on Long Island. The quality of the meats served is most notable. The beef fry and curry; paal appam and chicken curry, fish fry and curry are most notable. The menu is varied and sure all quality items.

Nice Little Restaurant. Food was excellent! We had the butter chicken and chicken korma, it was very flavorful, very good! Will definitely be back. Sign on the door mentions they are for sale, I hope they remain for a while…

I ordered the mutton biriyani and mutton kadai, the owner helped me to a seat while I waited. The food was well worth the wait, beautifully seasoned and a perfect replica of the flavors of my hometown back in India. I recommend this place to anyone who wants real Kerala style food.

The food was pretty good. Homemade Kerala parathas were awesome. As was the beef roast. Bhasi provided great service. Only negative is the chicken biryani. My guess of that they were trying some spice that is not typical for a biryani and that just ruined it. We ended up throwing all of it away. All the other food was awesome.

Not that great experience with food, maybe I have had better kerala food. Spices were overpowering the mutton. Kerala paroota were fresh but not soft. Will visit again to try their buffet I hope to find it better than ala carte.

Delicious! Kerala fish curry was delectable. The signage in the front still says Santoor grill, and on Apple Maps it is still showing it located on Jericho turnpike, so don't be deceived. Food was possibly slightly lukewarm, could have been warmer, but delicious taste.

Very bad food quality . The chicken biriyani we order was very spicy and full of bone without a good chicken pieces. We paid 15 dollar for one biriyani. And earlier (last month )we order some porota and chicken tikka to masala that was horrible. After late that getting sick for two days.Continous vomiting and diarrhea. That was food poison. I need to report this to food safety department because provide old and bad food to people for high price. Please don't do this to anyone else. Give good quality food to people. First week of September we ordered lunch boxes from restaurant and the curries they gave us not newly made it was refrigerated and it taste really bad. The beef and fish curry tasted very bad.We had stomach upset after ate food.Thank you.

We had a prayer at our house with 37 people attending. Febin took the time to help us plan out a detailed menu. Every item we received was fresh & delicious. I noticed people who usually never take seconds did. Everyone really enjoyed the food. Stanly & all the chefs are amazing. Febin & Aneesh were a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Kuttanadan!

We hosted a backyard party and the team from kuttanadan made fresh pall appum onsite and also served mutton stew and beef with it. The team did a great job with their set up and cooking. The food tasted so good and our guests loved the fresh ready to made orders. We would definitely recommend their services.

Excellent food!! I’ve never had food in NY as close to the taste of hometown… Febin is the best, you just have to tell him ur preference and he will make sure he configures the dish. All the items are prepared with authentic taste and ingredients that we won't be disappointed.South Indian dishes and Malabar fresh porotta is a must take.Most of the other places sell frozen porotta,but here it's fresh made and hot. All other dishes are fantastically prepared and we can customize the spice level as required if we tell the chef. Febin and aneesh doing a good job 👏. They do catering orders as well for all items. Palappam and Chicken stew a specialty if we order in advance.

Regularly I use to dine in the restaurant. The best restaurant in the area. Delicious food also expert in the South Indian dishes. Friendly staff and nice ambiance.

Food is decent: The buffet Fri-Sun is fairly priced at $20 plus tax per person (Fridays) not sure if same price over weekend . I went once and they had salad, naan, butter chicken, basmati rice, goat curry, shrimp curry, vegetable kurma, mutter paneer, gulab jamun and Kerr (rice pudding) and a few more dishes Before this owner the food was better, under a different name. Staff is not friendly. Definitely lacking quality customer service.
