IF YOU HAVE VERY CURLY HAIR, DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. First, I would like to note that a very satisfied customer left the shop just as I was coming in, so I know these ladies know how to do hair (just not mine) and I’m not discouraging anyone with straight or wavy hair from visiting this salon. I am giving two stars because the woman who did my hair was nice. That’s it. I thought that since this salon had the word “curls” in their name, they would know how to handle curly hair. I even called ahead just in case and said, “I have very curly hair and I’m very picky about who cuts it. Do you have experience with VERY curly hair?” Whomever I spoke to on the phone said “Yes, we have over 20 years of experience cutting between us.” I was impressed and I booked an appointment. I realized once I arrived that I should have specified “African American hair” on the phone, as they were clearly surprised I was black. *Not suggesting that they are racist, as most people who speak to me on the phone before meeting me in person assume that I am white.* I also don’t know what they thought “VERY curly” hair was, but obviously not my hair (between 3A & 3B, so not even the curliest hair there is). The stylist who washed and trimmed my hair was very nice and we talked the whole time about my job, family, etc., but I could easily tell that she didn’t have experience with truly curly hair (rough-dried with towel, combed from the top instead of starting from the ends, etc.). After she was done, she said it would be $25. I handed over my debit card only to be told that they only take cash. I was not told this prior to my appointment and I almost never carry cash. I had to leave, drive down the road to a station where I wouldn’t be charged an ATM fee, and drive back to pay for a service that was not even worth it. Instead of leaving feeling relaxed and happy with my hair style as I usually do (and as we all should) I left feeling irritated and cheated. This was an overall waste of my time and money.

Lisa Boatright is a wonderful hair dresser:) Been coming to her for years and she's awesome:!:) You can't go wrong no matter who cuts your hair though, I've only seen top notch work when there. Highly recommend!:)

We were welcomed and treated like family. Locally owned. The ladies will take of you, listen, and give professional service and recommendations. We are picky about who cuts our hair and how its cut. They will spend time with you and do right by you.

Kristin did an amazing job! We did a trial run for my wedding a couple of weeks prior to my wedding day. I have very fine, straight hair that is resistant to holding curls. She added in my extensions and added curls that held all day and all night. It didn't look stiff, but very soft and natural. She did an amazing job on my mom's and bridesmaid's hair as well. Highly recommend!
