If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would. Super generous portions, flavor was just right. The bowl was huge and the gyro was like a 10 or 12” pita gyro very big and oh so yummy. The staff were clean and productive. Very good and delicious experience!

Had a good experience here. The gentleman in front was handling everything himself and seemed a bit overwhelmed, but that’s life sometimes. The double gyro burger was huge, spiced well, and comes with lettuce tomato onion cheese and white sauce - I added cherry peppers (and you should too). Will definitely come back and try their chicken bowl next time!

My family and I had the house burger meals. Burgers were well cooked and had a nice flavour. Also Halal is a bonus as not many around The salad was cut perfectly not too thin and fresh. It was soo good that my husband decided to order a second one. Staff were very polite and helpful.

Beats halal guys so handily that I don't think I'll ever go back there. This place has fresh plates with the perfect mix of middle eastern/Afghani flavors in massive portions. Honestly, one plate is enough to feed a family. The service was great both times we went and they follow all the COVID protocols as well.

Amazing food with even better customer service! Akbar (the owner) was an extremely gracious host. Sebastian, your customer service was amazing! And last but not least, BIG shout out to the grill masters Geraldo and Gerado for a memorable experience! I will most definitely be coming back for the half chicken, half salad plate. I highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn't had the opportunity!

Many reviewers claim that if they were able to, they would give a higher star rating then what is possible. I’ve never made such a claim but do so now for Halal House. Having made the trip to Los Angeles from Atlanta, Halal House was recommended by multiple family and friends in the area. In a discreet shopping mall, Halal House stands out from the rest. The food is not just flavorful, but assembled wonderfully and is tantalizing to the taste buds. Vibrant and filled with rich colors, the food is well-prepared and each bite encourages the next. But honestly, it’s not just the food that stood out at Halal House. The staff was attentive and responsive. The interior, exterior, and even the restrooms were all clean and organized. Smiles were met when we first entered and our questions were answered without hesitation or annoyance. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the restaurant and is only enhanced by the flavor of the final product, the food itself. And although we are flying out today, Halal House will likely be one of the few destinations that I will truly miss and one of the few destinations that I will return for.

Ordered a chicken and falafel plate from here which had a bed of rice and some salad , loved it , it was loaded. Falafels were amazing! The only thing i didn't like was that chicken was a little chewy , felt little overcooked. Overall , i would love to try more from here. And prices are very affordable!

This place is outstanding and they accept EBT. The food is tasty and filling with great portions. I'd suggest instead of so much rice with the bowls to do rice, hummus, fries and pita with the protein of your choice. However, currently very homemade rice and protein bowls. A little to much rice rather than an assortment. Although I have my ups and downs , my ups make this place a absolute go to if your in the area.

The food was great, the service was excellent the atmosphere was great, I only waited about 5-10 mins until my food was ready and Ernie made sure the stove was clean and the food was fresh and hot. Thanks to him I’ll surely come back. Thank You.

UPDATED: The workers they have now don't know the menu and pronounce gyro "GUY-ro". Oof. Still ordered anyway and the employee misled me about entering the tip and my number for the loyalty points so I didn't get any points for my large order. Food was also worse. The crispy chicken sandwich used to be tops in LA, but it's dropped to meh. Kinda sad, used to love this place. Unless this was a fluke, probably won't be coming back. Old: Phenomenal food at reasonable prices, the place is a mom and pop joint staffed by folks who really care. The owner is often working there himself and is always attentive and kind. The gyro plates and chicken sandwiches are particularly delicious and rank at the top for LA.

Halal House is a restaurant that specializes in halal-certified dishes, which are prepared and cooked in compliance with Islamic dietary laws. They serve a variety of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes such as kebabs, gyros, falafels, and more. One of the things I appreciate about Halal House is the quality of their food. They use high-quality ingredients and prepare their dishes with care and attention to detail, resulting in delicious and satisfying meals. They also have a wide variety of options to choose from, making it easy to find something for every taste. Another great thing about Halal House is that the food is halal-certified, which means that it is prepared and cooked in compliance with Islamic dietary laws. This means that the meats are slaughtered in a specific way and that alcohol is not used in any of the dishes. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and casual, with friendly and attentive service. The staff is happy to make recommendations or accommodate any dietary restrictions. In conclusion, I highly recommend Halal House for anyone looking for delicious and authentic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes that are halal-certified. It's definitely worth the visit and I give it five stars.

Awesome food and even more amazing service! We were in the area (are from the Bay Area) and their burgers were the best halal burgers we’ve had so far! Huge portions, too! A couple of other comments have mentioned that these guys beat Halal Guys by a long shot, and boy are they right!! 200% much better than HG! A perfect fusion of Afghani/Pakistani. Akbar and Jawad were super friendly and made everything in our order fresh, from scratch, including their awesome chicken nuggets (courtesy of Akbar’s mom, who was prepping them). I got their rice plate and it can easily be shared with two people, who have moderate appetites. Their falafels were fresh out of the fryer and were delicious and satisfyingly crunchy! The rice was Afghani Qabuli style, which just elevated the entire plate up a couple of notches. Their curly fries are a must too! Thank you, Akbar and Jawad (please thank your wonderful mom too!) for your outstanding food and services, we’ll be sure to stop by again if we’re in the area! P.S. - we also grabbed food for dinner after our long drive back home.

Food is decent but service is pathetic. We were a family of 3 adults and 3 kids. They have a staff of 3 people who couldn't get a simple order right. Two people had to wait a considerably long time, and the last order (burger) was only made when we asked for it 15 min later. They also messed up delivery orders as another customer was fed up of waiting and wanting to cancel. Worst of all, they offered to give us a burnt as well as an OK burger. Not the cheapest place and therefore service should be extra ordinary. But its far from it. Highly disappointed and wouldn't recommend unless you have an hour to kill waiting for food.

A great halal burger place. They make great burgers as well as french fries. The only thing is it would be great if they changed the bread of the burger for a better one. But regardless 5 stars…

Quick summary: the food is amazing, affordable, great customer service, fast food service, close to CSUN, and the food is amazing (have to say it twice). I moved to Northridge in 2021 and went on a search for great places to eat. I am pleased to say that Halal House was one of the first places I had the pleasure of dining at. Its relatively small size doesn’t do just to it in the slightest. Trying their double gyro burger for the first time I felt like I had never had a good burger before. Their meat is juicy and filling, the sauce is perfectly portioned, the experience truly awe inspiring. It doesn’t stop there, the build-your-own plates are also extraordinary. If I’m ever in a rush I can count on Halal House to whip up a balanced meal in 5 minutes from the moment I step into the building. I would recommend Halal house to anybody but especially to CSUN students. It’s super close to the campus, affordable, quick service, and often not packed compared to other places nearby. It’s also close to some boba/coffee spots if you ever want a delicious meal to eat while sipping on your boba drink or Starbucks coffee. Did I mention that Halal house also supports its local university?! CSUN clubs are always welcome to hold fundraisers and advertise events. They are extremely accommodating and love supporting clubs. You can tell they care if you’ve ever had the pleasure of dining during a school fundraiser. I myself have experienced it first hand. All in all, Halal house is deserving of a 5 star rating in all regards and I highly recommend them to anyone living in Northridge or passing by.
