the waiting time was not bad at all maybe 20 minutes at the most! but when I tell you thatā€™s the worst hospital I have ever been to I mean it!! the triage nurse was extremely disrespectful acted like I was faking everything! got in the room and my nurse was sweet! but the nurse practitioner was just straight up rude and disrespectful asked me twice why I came in on a Sunday night so late when I told her I was sick she continued to ask like thatā€™s not a reason to come in! I do not recommend going there and personally I will NEVER go there again! I really hope they can find better ways to speak to patients!

I've been here many times for labs, outpatient surgeries, extended stays and ER visits . They've always treated me with respect and kindness and did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible and keep my anxiety at bay. I went to the ER four days ago with a vaso-vagal episode that made me black out, so I was scared to death, overcome with nausea and vertigo and my blood pressure was so low I couldn't speak coherently. The executive, functioning adult part of my brain just shut down. Once the husband got me to the hospital, everyone; from triage staff, ER nurses, assistants, radiology, lab techs, The doctor and anyone else I can't remember who took care of me-- was so caring and patient. The wait wasn't long after triage- maybe 10 minutes, since they didn't immediately have a bed and everything was nice, clean and sanitary, as it should be. All staff made certain to get my name before doing anything and answered all my husband's questions- what tests they were doing, what medications were going into my IV, etc, and they didn't get upset that he asked. (Side note: If a medical professional gets upset if you ask a question about what they're giving you, that's a medical professional to be wary of). Anyway, I've had procedures at MMC South, Crestwood and HH but MMCN is far and away the most comfortable and comforting hospital, in my experience.

I went in after stepping wrong and hurting my ankle, I have family that also has horror stories but they were the closest hospital and at best it's a bad sprain at worst it's a broken ankle surely they can't mess that up, right? Well by the time I got there my ankle was swollen about three times its normal size, sat in the waiting room for two plus hours, finally got taken back to x-ray, the x-ray was done and I was taken to a room where I waited another hour or so... The doctor finally comes in looks at the X-ray and says "huh, well this is an x-ray of your foot... But it's just a sprain go home and take some over the counter pain and anti-inflammatories.

My mother was brought in no strength and dizzy. Emergency room was great. Checked her out. Ended up she was admitted to a room in ICU. The ladies in ICU was awesome. Everyone there treated my mother with kindness and respect. I was dreading it. Come to find out it was a great experience. Especially nurse Sarah(on night shift)she was awesome!

Had to go to the ER this weekend unfortunately. However, my husband and I were impressed with how smoothly everything ran and how kind everyone was; from the front desk staff to the amazing ER dr and nurse. We were in and out within an hour after getting stitched up. Easy peasy. Very positive encounter!

Not sure why people rank this hospital the way they do. They literally saved my life this past December and I was there for awhile and didnā€™t meet anyone there that was rude or anything. Everyone there was very professional and as nice as they could be! I will absolutely take MMCN over MMCS ANY DAY!! Thank you for everything you guys did for me !!! šŸ™ƒ

If you like to waste time and money,? This is the best location. Never seen a doctor and was told to make an appointment with my primary doctor for treatment of severe arm and neck pain.

Thanks to the doctors and especially Jake in the ER. You made a otherwise scary stressful situation into a lot more manageable and understandable one. Patients certainly appreciate your kindness.ā¤

We moved from Athens to Guntersville 2 months ago. Athens limestone hospital is the worst hospital I have ever been to so I was worried about Marshall County Hospital. Around 5am my hand has to rush me to Marshall Medical center ER due to days of severe abdominal pain. From the moment I walked in I was treated very well!! Everyone I met was very very nice and caring. The nurses and doctors were phenomenal!!! Even the ladies from radiology were kind and informative. Within 20 minutes of arriving I was in a room with a IV in and fluids going. The doctor ordered IV, blood work, X-ray and CT scan. Within 2 hrs I had a diagnosis and was being discharged. The doctor also has given me a referral to a specialist. He prescribed important medications for me as well. He took his time to come in and sit down to explain to me his findings which was a very very large ovarian cyst. He said he knew that was causing severe pain so before I left he got my pain under control. He answered any questions I had. Also I have tattoos all over my body even a tiny one on my face but he didnā€™t judge me or look down on me. I am so happy that we bought a home in Guntersville because this hospital is phenomenal!! Thank you to every person there that helped me and that didnā€™t judge me! I HIGHLY recommend Marshall Hospital!!!

Just moved to Arab, and ended up here with a stomach problem. Although nothing was found they did all they could. Cullman regional would have been rude and un helpful. So good to say even with the problems I was having super friendly, and will use them again!

Never having experienced an extended hospital stay I found mine to be a pleasant one, even unwell. The staff were very professional and most caring. I was very impressed with the with meals served, very tasty and plentiful. Please pass on warmest holiday wishes. Respectfully, William G. Mattingly

I was sent to the hospital from my doctorā€™s office for a catscan on my chest. I had COVID & was having breathing issues. My doctor called so they would expect me & wrote STAT on my test orders. I sat in the waiting room an hour & a half. I went up to the desk to make sure that hadnā€™t forgot me. The lady says they were still trying to fit me in. I returned to my seat & within one minute, I was called back for my test. Were they really trying to fit me in or was I indeed forgotten? Who knows.

Outpatient Day is Outstanding! From registration to the Nurseā€™s and Anesthetic staff, everyone is great. Dr. Winter Wilson is an amazing Doctor! Highly recommend!

Emergency Room is ridiculous because the person admitting people is so slow!! Iā€™ve never seen such unprofessional people working to help other people. They donā€™t know any Spanish so it takes forever. No wonder people get sick with Covid, the flu and everything else having to wait so long to be even registered. We have been waiting for over an hour and there was only one other person in front of us!!

Had a bone density test, they got me in and out really fast. Super friendly and my Doctor's office had the results in a few hours of the test.

I wish I could give them zero stars. Or maybe even negative stars. if you have the choice, avoid this hospital at all costs they are the most uncaring and uncompassionate people Iā€™ve ever met. They treated my 82-year-old disabled, veteran father in multiple organ failure, like a criminal because he has been on managed pain meds for over 20 years to treat a unrepairable military injury. Rather than actually doing test to understand the problem (increased creatinine in the kidneys & a UTI) doctors immediately assumed opiate overdose and gave him Narcan and almost killed him. Once he was out of ICU, it took two days for the doctor to come in and speak to my sister, my fatherā€™s primary care giver, despite multiple requests to talk to him about treatment plans. No plans for release. No instructions on what to do after he gets home to minimize the risk of this happening again. Dr Hargraves treated my father with disrespect and offered no answers and no options. Basically they told us that our father needs to go off pain meds (which makes him immobile) and offered no other options. Essentially telling us to take him him and let him lay around in pain until he dies. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. Never again. Despite the fact that this hospital is 15 minutes from his house, we will never take him to this hospital again.
