Come, let me regale you with the tale of my stay at this unconventional luxury establishment. Located in the heart of Atlanta, the Ritz Carlton boasts a central position that beckons weary travelers with promises of convenience and accessibility. Alas, as I arrived, as I ventured into the room, the scent of adventure mingled with an unexpected aroma of smoke. Ah, yes, the lingering essence of smoky surprises. As I stepped through the door, my senses were greeted by a fragrance reminiscent of a fire-breathing dragon's lair. It was an olfactory adventure that left me yearning for fresher air and a faint longing for my trusty nostril plugs. Alas, the substandard service continued to unfold its theatrical acts throughout my stay. From the housekeeping brigade's impressive ability to disappear into thin air, rendering fresh towels an elusive treasure, to the concierge's uncanny talent for recommending the most obscure and underwhelming local attractions, the Ritz Carlton Atlanta proved to be a haven for the unexpected. Yet, amidst the chaos, one cannot overlook the hotel's prime location—a gleaming ray of hope amidst the comedic mishaps. Just steps away from Atlanta's vibrant city life, it serves as a reminder that even within the confines of peculiar hospitality, the world outside awaits with its own grand adventures. In conclusion, for those seeking a whimsical escapade, complete with slow-motion front desk encounters, a touch of smoke in the air, and service that dances to its own rhythm, the Ritz Carlton Atlanta offers an experience like no other. It is a place where time stands still, towels play hide-and

My husband and I stayed at the Ritz last night for a birthday "stay-cation" in the city. The hotel is beautiful. The service was great. We ate at the AG Steakhouse and the food and service were excellent. We had a drink in the Lumen bar. He got the Lumen old fashioned and I had the peach drop. Both were so good. You can't beat the location of the hotel. My only downside was 3-4 days before our arrival I messaged them via FB messenger to ask if there were any packages or something I could have in the room for my husbands birthday to make it extra special (me paying of course) and didn't get a response. So they do need to keep up on their socials. That aside, the stay was great and we would absolutely stay here again.

Came for Spring Tea in the Georgian room. This was my first time having high tea so I didn't know what to expect but the staff definitely made it an experience to remember. My guest was late and I was afraid that we'd lose our reservation, however, everyone was extremely accommodating and low-stress. They seated me with no issues so i could enjoy my tea until my guest arrived. There was an assortment of treats both savory and sweet waiting at the table when I was seated and the team also brung additional treats to the table to try. Everything was really tasty. My favorites were the Honey-Hibiscus Profiterole and the Smoked Salmon. I also tried a few different teas which were all delicious. I told the servers that it was my birthday and they out-did themselves. I expected maybe a little dessert or glass of champagne but they brought me an entire cake complete with candles and singing. It was really nice. I would highly recommend this experience for a birthday, a nice excuse to dress up or just something fun to do around town.

Not a Ritz Carlton level facility. Room furnishings were a bit worn. Shower drain slow with water pooling in the basin. No stationary in room, I normally like to post a short letter home whenever I stay out of town. No menu in room, just a QR code and no way to place a breakfast order the night before so you have to wake up early to place the order. That said, the food came promptly and was very good. The table length for me had a malfunctioning drop leaf so I had to sit sideways at the table while eating, a bit annoying. The on site amenities outside of dining are sparse and if you are traveling with a statement credit to be spent on site there really isn’t any place to use it other than valet parking and food so that was mildly annoying since my state was short and I had to either use the credit for waste it. The only reason this state was not an overall unfavorable one was that the staff were all exceedingly courteous and professional. Marriott/Ritz Carlton, I strongly recommend that if you are going to limit the ability to use the statement credits from rewards programs that you allow the traveler to donate remaining statement credits to the staff as a gratuity to split among them. It would probably go a long way to help with staff retention. Another alternative is to allow the traveler to donate remaining statement credit to charity.

Enjoyed my stay at The Ritz-Carlton. The room was squeaky clean and the staff went above and beyond during my visit. I would highly recommend buying a room that has club lounge access. Free food and alcohol until 10 pm was one of the best perks of the club lounge access. There is no free parking at the Ritz-Carlton only $60 day valet or you can park at the secure garage next door for $20 a day.

This was my first time booking a Ritz Carlton because I got a really great deal from a business rate. I ended up booking two rooms because I had family with me. The rooms are very standard with not a lot of fancy appeal like you'd expect from one of the more luxurious brand hotels. The bathroom felt pretty old. The staff was friendly and accommodating and would try to meet all of your needs. They have complimentary items in the lobby most days. I had complimentary wine one day and I think there were candies the next day. There is only valet parking here and it's $50/day. That's quite expensive and they do take a while to bring your car around to you some days. We waited for almost 20 minutes on some occasions. The area that the hotel is in, is pretty decent although there are homeless people that camp out nearby and I believe there is a homeless shelter less than .5 miles away. There are restaurants and Starbucks nearby as well. You're never too far from what you need. My family saw a roach in their room and both of our toilets ended up being plugged and we had to call maintenance for a plunger.

I tried checking in around 5:30pm and was told my suite was not available for another hour and a half. I was offered a lower tier room instead. I was not offered, I had to request, compensation for the inconvenience and price difference between the suite and the single room they were offering. I was offered $150 hotel credit. We continued to the room to prepare for dinner out. The hotel staff called me roughly 20 minutes later to say the suite was ready and they were coming up with a new set of room keys. Once arriving at the suite, one of the door handles inside was broken and hanging, the phone was broken and did not work and the shower head was broken with next to no water pressure. Parts of the room appeared previously damaged and merely painted over with a new coat of paint. The room service staff was always polite and with good conversation, but the food was often luke-warm. The valet staff was also very polite and attentive, though one runner, out of the six we probably interacted with, had been recently smoking weed and left my vehicle full of the strong smell which was unpleasant to ride with for the next 20 minutes until it dissipated. Apart from a few, the staff was fantastic, but there are other hotels in the downtown area that are nicer for the price you pay.

Recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton on a weekend trip to Atlanta. Check-in was easy and I was greeted with the choice of water or champagne. The room was nice; we got a quiet one at the end of the hall. The shower had good pressure and a separate handheld shower head. Room service did a good job of freshening up our room. During the day we mostly explored the city so can’t comment too much further on the service. I will say that if you choose not to utilize their parking, things can get a bit confusing. For one, the cost per day is about $24 vs the $55 for valet but it is based on hourly rates so it could end up being closer to $30 based on your check-in and check-out times of the garage. Navigating the garage is a bit of a mess too. There are elevators that connect you to the 191 Peachtree Tower but the door connecting the building to the Ritz Carlton locks over the weekend causing you to have to walk up ramps to get to the floor you need. Once I figured this out it wasn’t too bad and didn’t take away from the stay. There is a lobby bar that I did not sit down to experience but they had live jazz playing Friday night. Also I got the password for the Red Phone Booth around the corner but we never got a chance to check that out either. Overall, for a nice hotel in the midtown area, check out the Ritz.

My opinion of the Ritz, has been blitzed. This property did not meet our expectations. Our room wasn't sanitized, and the view was average. We can't tell you anything about the restaurant or the club level. To be fair, we were given delicious cupcakes at checkout. Don't use your hard earned money and points here. You can buy delicious cupcakes somewhere else for a lot less money.

This honestly had all the potential to be a 5 star stay. The rooms are gorgeous and immaculate. Overall, the hotel was very comfortable and I had a good stay. Great service in general, especially the maintenance staff. Big issue was the thermostat was broken in my room. I arrived late my first night and didn’t notice the temp getting colder and colder despite the heat being on until I woke up in the middle of the night to room temperature of 68 degrees. I had an early morning and long day the following day. When I returned, the temp was a couple degrees higher, likely because it warmed up outside. The manager sent maintenance up, the filter needed to be changed and some other repairs had to be made. It was a quick resolution and did not require me changing rooms. Smaller issue was the inefficiency of the valet in the morning. Despite using mobile to call for my car, they took over 30 minutes to retrieve my vehicle. Had misplaced my keys, then said they couldn’t find my vehicle altogether due to “vehicles being shuffled around.” There was like 5 people on staff and it was not busy. The AM valet was a literal joke. The guys at night seemed really professional and on top of things though. Just a very strange experience. Wasn’t convenient…but not a huge deal. The gym was one of the nicest hotel gyms I’ve experienced at a Marriott branded hotel. 3 peloton bikes, a rowers, smith rack, dumbbells, kettlebells, machines, and treads. Honestly a great combo of equipment for a business trip. I hate having to seek offsite gyms early in the morning before work so this was a definite plus. I’d definitely come back. The mishaps were small in contrast to the overall experience.

Outstanding customer service! I stayed during Super Bowl and Valentines Day and the hotel was at full capacity, but you wouldn’t know it because of the great care and service they provided. Housekeeping blew me away with their daily consistency and consideration. I ordered room service a dozen times and they were on point every time-didn’t wait long and the food was delicious! Ask for Nicholas-he is awesome! I highly recommend staying at this beautiful, clean, comfortable property! Shout out to the Bellhop-Ya’ll rock! I’ll be back!

My wife and I recently stayed here for a week and the service and hospitality were beyond expectation. The valet parking of $55 a day seems really steep when you consider you should be tipping somewhere when retrieving your vehicle. The room we had was nice, but definitely nothing luxurious in my opinion except the bathroom. We stayed on the club level and I have to say hats off to the entire staff who worked the lounge. The were all super nice and accommodating at any given time. My wife was well taken care of while I was out on business during the day and the food they served all day was a treat. We ventured out a couple of nights, but it has a very sketchy vibe with the amount of homeless people around. It's not the hotel's fault, but it's what you can expect at this location. It's better to drive a little distance out of the downtown area if you want to go somewhere good to eat. This was a business trip and expenses were paid, but I highly doubt I would ever pay the price tag myself to stay here. It was still an enjoyable visit and if I go again on business, I will stay here.

The room cleanliness didn't meet our expectations. My husband used to work in a hotel/hospitality business and he knows where to check in order to see if the room was properly cleaned. Found so many areas that were not properly cleaned. There was so much dust on the bed headboards, frames, etc. The price of room is way to expensive considering the facts. Also, the parking is way too expensive and they don't give you an option besides the valet parking. The staff that we interacted with was friendly and professional. The staff that attended the wedding party was amazing.

I stayed here for my birthday 🎂 The room was clean. But I must say, I was very pleased with the level of service provided. From being greeted to room service. I would go as far to say I was treated like a princess. The hotel ambiance was great for pictures as I walked out of the hotel. I had a Masquerade themed party and just happen to meet a guy dressed for the occasion and he honored me with a quick photo. I did have a stretch limo to pick me up and it was not allowed to come directly in front due to its size.

It’s a very nice hotel, with remodeled rooms that are pleasantly and elegantly furnished. But not a five star experience unfortunately. My room did not have a mini fridge / bar as advertised when I booked. Instead it simply had an empty compartment, see photo. Spoke to the concierge twice about it, with no resolution and they (female) actually hung up on me the second time. Called again, this time spoke to a man, and we were able to resolve by having a mini fridge brought to my room. The fridge was smelly but it worked well. The minibar was never stocked, there were only a few snacks on top of the drawer. That’s just not five star in my book. They also didn’t apologize or try to make up for it with a little something — which a true five star most certainly would. All in all, worth a stay but they could take it to the next level by making sure (all) their personnel is trained appropriately.

The Ritz out did themselves again. This is a beautiful hotel. The service is always 10 stars grade A. Very impressive, just one thing that I would say would make it just a bit better is better signage for valet parking. It was difficult to get in the right area. Other than that, just a wonderful service. The manager of this hotel should be very proud of such wonderful staff they have here. MASSIVE shout out to Fred. He drove us from here to Ray's in the City, it was a pleasant and nice drive in the hotel's car. And he helped us retrieve our little daughters purse and had it hand delivered to the club lounge and David presented it so cute and clever on a serving tray for our daughter. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for finding it and returning it. ❤

Been a while since I stayed at the Ritz Carlton. Now I know why. It's not worth it. Our room was fairly standard for Marriott properties. No bathtub, just shower. The club is not included with your stay even for Titanium members. Service was just fair to mediocre. I think the Residence Inn across the street would have been happier to have us.

I’ve got to be honest from the time I pulled up the hotel into the valet everyone was so genuinely nice and helpful. Once I check in, early, the bellman took my bags up to my very lovely room and I left with a friend for the nearby festival. When I returned to retrieve something from my car I was so surprised to see that my car was being charged as a courtesy. The staff here is amazing and considering there were a lot of celebrities staying there because of the festival, my wife and I felt just like them due to the amazing & efficient service they provided. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Great service by the friendly staff. Very accommodating. Welcome champagne upon check in was offered. The room was nice and clean. The view of downtown Atlanta could be better. I will try staying at one of the other Marriott chains nearby for my next visit although you have to be careful where you stay as my fellow traveler was staying at the Marriott marquis nearby and had to wait 2+ hours in line for check in. Definitely don’t have anything like that to worry about at the Ritz. The location of the Ritz is great as it’s in the heart of Atlanta downtown with great accessibility to lots of nearby restaurants and businesses. World of Coke & the aquarium are only a short walk away. Restaurant and coffee bar at the main levels are available and highly rated although I didn’t get a chance to visit. Valet service and staff were very efficient as well.

I would like to start out with the bed, sheets, and pillows were the most comfortable than any other hotel I've been to, and I've been to quite a few. The lobby staff and presentation were flawless. Live flowers were displayed in the lobby. Everything worked out fine with the room. Breakfast was hosted on the second floor and we at the breakfast buffet. Many great options and everything you would need. I would only recommend an improvement to the buffet eggs and sausage. The sausage was mostly fatty and the eggs seemed dried out. Coffee was outstanding and was included with the buffet price. The valet gate wouldn't open for the valet so our vehicle was stuck for a bit. Overall a great experience. Price is worth the bed itself.

I was looking forward to a nice weekend in Atlanta and staying at a luxury hotel. When we drove up, the valet was a great welcome. I felt they were looking to deliver above and beyond service. They were quick to greet and opened doors for us while gently reminding us to grab any belongings we may have left in our car (this was consistent through our stay, the valet was excellent). Unfortunately, check in was less than excellent. The concierge didn’t mention my status and we had not been upgraded despite many available rooms. I politely asked if there were any upgrades available and she said she would check. Without communicating further, she passed me two keys and informed me that as a platinum member I was upgraded to a room with a better view. I asked if she was aware I had ambassador elite status as maybe that was why I had not been upgraded and had to ask…but she dismissed it as irrelevant. “Any further upgrades would be paid.” Perhaps this is in line with the diminishing benefits of status with Marriott or perhaps the Ritz doesn’t honor it the ways other brands do. I would think, though, that a person who has over 160 paid stays this year and has been an ambassador for several years in a row would be someone you would automatically upgrade. Recently, the Beverly Hills Marriott upgraded me to a suite, but even better left a bottle of wine, water bottles, snacks and a hand-written note thanking me for my loyalty and choosing their hotel. That is unfortunately less common these days, but it’s definitely appreciated (especially by people that spend over half their year on the road). The room was basically quite average with nice finishes. The shower and bathroom were nice, but nothing impressive. The noise from other rooms and outside (despite being 18 floors up) was a nuisance. The “upgraded view” was unimpressive and the room was a bit cramped. There was a giant sofa that was oddly facing the bed and not the TV and a tall table that didn’t really work when seated. We were not informed there would be no housekeeping, or they flat out skipped our room, which is definitely weak for a “luxury retreat” that boasts “world-class service”. Despite being confirmed for a 4pm checkout, we were awakened by housekeeping around 9am. We came back from a morning workout and brunch to take a nap and were again awakened by repeated calls from the front desk 2 hours before checkout time. After another knock on the door from housekeeping at 3pm…all chances of a nap were gone. I’ve definitely had better stays at “lesser” brands, so I’d say pass if you’re looking for a special weekend.

The staff is amazing. I'm not thrilled about the rooms. The bed and pillows aren't up to par. They're equally not firm enough for me. Then, the 1999 mini fridge that doesn't work and is an eye sore since it's sitting outside of the cabinet it belongs in. I'm sure for a similar price point, the JW Marriott is a better option for the Marriott brands.

I am rating the staff 5/5 because the staff is excellent. Everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel gets a 3/5 because it doesn’t feel like a Ritz. The rooms are clean but they don’t really have the typical Ritz vibe. It felt more like a Courtyard with nicer shared amenities. I would probably stay here again but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it as a first choice.

I wanted a place to rest and relax without a lot of traveling while I recovered after a chemo treatment, and they did not disappoint. I was able to enjoy all the amenities from live music to the best restaurants. Their Holiday Tea was amazing! They assured we had the Ritz Carlton experience I dreamed about as a child, even during a pandemic.

The staff here is amazing. I usually don’t have valet attendants offer me bottled water while I wait for my car to be brought around. Everyone was so friendly and professional. The rooms and view are beautiful and there’s plenty of champagne to drink and enjoy. What more could you ask for?

One of my favorite Ritz-Carlton. Pros (1) very comfortable beds (2) complimentary plush slippers (3) they also provide shoehorns - very useful when I need to change into sneakers for a quick workout (4) front desk works fast and is very friendly. Cons (1) hotel vicinity can feel a bit unsafe at night (2) the lobby gets a bit overcrowded in the evenings

My husband and I started our honeymoon here, for one night only before flying out of Atlanta. The location was perfect for our early morning flight, but the room and staff were both so wonderful that it made us not want to leave so quickly. The lobby was gorgeous and already decorated for the holiday season, and it smelled divine. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The room itself was beautiful. The water pressure in the shower was superb, the view was gorgeous, and we couldn't hear a sound from the other rooms.

This is not a 5 star hotel. In our small room the faucet, shaving mirror and (incredibly) bathroom door lock were falling off the wall (well, fell off in the case of the bathroom door lock). There’s no fan in the bathroom so maybe it doesn’t matter much anyway - you’ll hear every splash. On complaining that our $500/night room is literally falling apart, the customer service employee was apologetic but ultimately did not do anything to solve the situation. The restaurant on the second floor is more reminiscent of a roadside diner than an even 3 star hotel restaurant. Burgers and fries with cheap, dirty silverware and accoutrements. I waited 20 minutes for my Old Fashioned. The restaurant was not remotely busy. Management does not appear to be competent.

The hotel is located in the center of Atlanta downtown. But the entrance to it is pretty unassuming. It's on a side road. The lobby is very small, but houses a bar and a coffee shop. The staff (door man, Valet, bartenders, waitresses) were all very courteous and served with a welcoming smile. The bar fare is good. The restaurant is upstairs and has a more elaborate food menu..

We visited Atlanta the weekend of 2 December to celebrate our 20 year Wedding anniversary. We had booked another hotel, and it was not very nice, so we were kind of stuck last minute. The other hotel was across the street from the Ritz, so we walked over to the Ritz to inquire about a room. It was very busy that weekend with the SEC championship in town, so we were not expecting a room to be available. We were at the front desk inquiring about a room, and front office manager, Jonathan was listening to us talk to the agent, and he jumped in to help us. He was able to get us a fabulous room at a very reasonable rate. He also went above and beyond at several points throughout the weekend to be sure we were taken care of, and arranged for a very special anniversary surprise in the room. This was probably one of the best trips we had in our 20 years of marriage, and Jonathan was a bid part of that. We are forever grateful for Jonathan, and the rest of the outstanding staff at the Ritz Carlton Atlanta. We will never forget what they did for us.

My experience staying at Ritz Carlton Atlanta was horrible and I wouldn’t recommend! My husband and I came into town to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The room was “OK”. Our view was a nasty brick wall. The lobby was the highlight of the hotel. The valet damaged my vehicle and didn’t say a word!!!!!! I noticed the damage once we left to get breakfast. I immediately called back and spoke with Tevin the manager, he advised that he would call back within 72 hours after his investigation was completed, needless to say we haven’t heard back from him. We’ve reached out to their corporate office and nothing has been done. At this point I’m contacting an attorney for assistance. NEVER USE VALET here!!

First and foremost I really hoped not to have an issue at the Ritz. I paid for the name and was hoping for high quality. We checked in after 5 pm after a long drive from Florida. We were excited as the kids weren’t aware that I booked a hotel room in the city! The valet and bell hop were amazing. The team was kind and very helpful! These gentlemen were great so they deserve to hear this! Unfortunately we were given a room that when we walked in had a mold smell, the smell was so overwhelming that it triggered my migraine, I am so disappointed and disgusted that the room wasn’t thoroughly checked. As an asthmatic with a young child with asthma traveling with me, this was so upsetting. I am seriously confused since I would never expect this from a ritz level. Soon after complaining to the front desk, initially they wanted to add a mold machine in our room and then they wanted us to stay in there. I had such a horrible experience with my nausea and migraine I stayed out with the kids till 12 am. Upon returning I felt like I was minimized and not taken seriously. Finally they agreed to move us, it’s just not ideal to move with the kids at 1 am. i wish they were willing to help facilitate this earlier. I just think the staff was well aware of that room on the 15th floor (1506 or 1503 can’t recall now) had issues and deliberately put us in there. We ended up going to the new room and it was night and day for my breathing. No mold and no discomfort. The morning we went to the restaurants on the second floor which was amazing, the staff especially Abu made our daughters experience amazing. He was so patient and kind and went out of his way to make us feel so comfortable. The food quality was delicious. This was very uplifting. That 5 star is for these staff members and the restaurant team. Again the bell hop was great and helped us pack our vehicle. So I hope our review is seen and shared with management in order to make the necessary changes to increase a positive experience for your guests. I will not be staying at the Ritz anymore. This was very jarring.

Never stayed at a Ritz before, because we were on business, decided to see what it was like. Normally, I stay at the Westin or Marquis. The customer service at this location is worth more than the room itself. Staff here aim to please their customer base. The "manager of rooms" is top notch. She went above and beyond to accommodate us. Thank you so much!

Spent 2 nights here this week for The Eagles concert and was very happy. The service was excellent from the valet drivers, the front desk and bar tenders. Our room was very clean and nice and cool. My only complaint is they only give you 2 bath towels at a time, if you want more then you have to ask. No problem but an inconvenience.

First class hotel. Good ambiance. Live music in the lobby. Be sure to visit AG restaurant inside the hotel.

  • 1/5 Patrick S. 7 months ago on Google
To start off with we arrive at 3:30 and the lobby was packed. We stood in line to get checked in for 30-45 minutes, just to find out the rooms were not ready. The gates were opening for the concert at 5 and we had no place to get ready, with the exception of the public bathroom on the 3rd floor (which everyone had to use because the rooms weren't ready). We get back from the concert around 11:15pm (we left a little early to avoid the drama of everyone trying to get in their room) and they offered a $100 food and beverage credit and $100 off the room, also a 4pm checkout time (which I believe is what got them in the situation in the first place). The room service ends at 12am so we ordered food right away. The next morning we go to check out and neither credit was applied, talked to the front desk person and got the room service taken off but still didn't get the $100 off the room. Asked to speak to the manager and they were unavailable (imagine that). Overall terrible experience, will never spend money at this establishment again. I totally recommend Candler over this place .

NOT THE RITZ CARLTON EXPERIENCE:. My family and friends stayed here while in town for a special occasion. To be brief, both rooms were not up to par, one had hair still left in the shower that was obvious and the other had an obvious broken shower faucet hanging off, see pics The food in the downstairs restaurant was not good and took a long time to come out, more than an hour, and 3 dishes never came at all. Our waiter was very polite and apologetic but We requested to speak with the manager due to multiple issues who in turn took care of the food which was appreciated. We had to wait another 45 minutes for the manager to arrive to speak with us. He was also quite nice nonetheless. At checkout when asked we told the front desk our concerns about the room, including no toiletries being replaced by housekeeping, and disappointing experience, they took my information and specific issues and said it would be passed on to the manager who would contact me as he was not currently available. No one ever contacted me. In conclusion, very polite management and staff, this location falls short of what we expect when staying at the Ritz Brand. I used to love this location, especially the bar lounge area and we have even celebrated birthdays here since 2017 but after this multi-problematic experience, Would not return. I will add that the upstairs restaurant has a delicious buffet that is worth checking out.

This is not my favorite place to stay, based on location and appearance. It's not the branded Ritz experience you'd expect but there's always room for improvement. It's dated and run down, but Duane at valet is exceptional. Kind, courteous and talkative. I have stayed here before and I welcomed a VIP group here this past week and wanted to shout out Duane from valet. Small kind efforts mean the most.

Nice place, spacious up-scale lobby with a couple grand pianos lying around. Convenient access to the office building next door. King sized bedroom has a modern shower, only 2 queen bedrooms have bathtubs but the tubs are pretty small and not as nice as the shower. Area seems a little dangerous since there are armed guards in front of almost every single establishment, but nothing happened to me the couple times I stayed there. Staff are very courteous and helpful

I’m usually not one to complain, but I felt compelled from this stay. For starters, I was excited to settle down into a nice hotel, watch football and relax. Unfortunately the TV would keep going out and I’d have to call down to the front desk to have them reset it after 15 minutes. This went on 3 times until I just gave up. I couldn’t relax and watch any games or highlights. Furthermore, for a 5 star hotel to have rusted out door hinges and old doors which have been painted over about 10 times is simply embarrassing. I wouldn’t mind if it was a 3 star hotel and I paid $200 for the room but there’s a level of standards you should have when you’re representing 5 stars. When I went to check out and the lady at the front asked me how my stay was, I replied “terrible”. I went on to tell her how disappointed I was and in her defense she did offered me free breakfast. Since I was in a hurry and explained I couldn’t stick around, I asked her for a discounted room (which I never do) and she replied that she wasn’t able to do that for me. Very disappointed to say the least.

I went for a wedding and reception, so stayed only one night. The service is exceptional, firstly, from arrival to check out. Stellar. I ordered a burger very late one night after the reception and the burger and fries were delicious. The venue the events we were in were also beautiful. The hotel is older but very we maintained despite it's age. I would go back for sure. I didn't take any pictures this time around, but it's a recommend.

Staff is always kind and courteous. I stay here for Dragon Con every year. Last night I was having a problem with one of my costumes and I asked the front desk if they had a screwdriver I could borrow. They actually sent maintenance to my room to help. It made my night!

The service at this location are the best. We have stayed at other high-end hotels and we always come back here. The staff is always professional but warm. They always go above and beyond. Plus the lobby jelly beans are a plus as well 😋.

I have been staying here for DragonCon for a number of years and have found the stay delightful for all that time. Housekeeping staff are excellent. I did get dinged with an Honor Bar charge for one night, but an email to the Front Desk personnel expressing my dismay for the unwarranted charge resulted in it being reversed. My check-in could not have gone smoother, as I had multiple reservations covering six nights, and Louise (I believe that was her name) made everything work so I would not have to get room keys redone during my stay. I will be back.

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. They compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't regret it. Attended a work conference here and the hotel was lovely. Great food in the restaurants, great drink selections and excellent service by the bar staff. The steakhouse is first-rate and so are the rooms. Highly recommended if you're staying in downtown Atlanta.

I stayed for 3 nights in advance of a business trip. The rooms are a bit dated, and have very low ceilings. The bathrooms were 3 pieces (just a shower, no separate tub), and the towels were pretty terrible. The room size is pretty small as well. I would put the rooms on par with a nicer Marriott -- but not a 5-star property. No pool or spa. Room service food was very limited and very poor quality (we ordered 4 things -- and the kids spaghetti was basically identical to the fancy adult pasta dish that cost 3x more, except that the kids version also included meatballs and a glass of juice for free -- where the adult version was just a different noodle in the same basic sauce with a fancy sounding name). The actual restaurant itself was fantastic, however. The front entrance was blocked off, so you have to go in the side of the building. The area is sketchy as well... Lots of homeless or drug addicts in the area. Among the other Marriott properties in the area, I would stay at one of the boutique hotels in the area, or the Westin if I need to be downtown again.

You expect 5* service from a Ritz and this property delivers. Excellent reception staff. Absolutely wonderful rooms. ( I orders a massive grilled cheeses sandwich from room service—-ranks near my all time favorites). Upgraded exercise facilities. Lobby bar. Very cool lobby level coffee shop. Extremely tight valet parking but they are professional and hard working and make it seem a non issue.

There was nothing to not enjoy! I went to perform a wedding for two of my members in the ministry. The room was a nice size. The bellhop, concierge and all of the staff were superb and knew how to treat the patrons!! Valet service was excellent and everyone saw to our every need!! A must if you ever stay downtown. You're in walking distance to everything. There are panhandlers but nothing unusual. The food for breakfast at the American Grille was a 5 star and the wedding dinner was a 5 start review as well💟 Thank you to Randy, Louise, David, Scott, Ahbu and any other staff I may not have known personally by name! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was greeted within seconds of pulling up by Chris and Randy (valet guys) even though they were so busy they made me feel like a priority. Before I made there I called to see if I was able to get an upgrade with a view as I’m celebrating my 40th. Christopher (front desk agent) not only granted my request but was very attentive, informative and gave impeccable service. By far this hotel gave me the BEST service I’ve had at a hotel! Thank you to Christopher, Randy and Chris for making my stay and birthday amazing! I’ll always remember y’all and the respect you all gave me.

This hotel has always been a home away from home for me! The staff always provides excellent quality service! I left some important documents in my room after checkout, and the valet quickly went to my room to retrieve it. The complimentary car service available for transportation within a certain mile radius was ideal for my appointment in Midtown. The driver, William, who has been there for years, is simply amazing! Thank you for the consistency in service, check-in/out, room cleanliness, and quality. No other establishment does it quite like the Ritz-Carlton!!

Room was impeccable. Staff from valet, concierge, the restaurant, and security we're all very attentive and sweet. Our beds and pillows were perfect marshmallow cloud comfiness. My only regret is not asking if I could purchase the robe in the room because it was also the most luxurious comfort. You can easily look up a picture of the room before use, so here's a picture of them in use. 🤭

Most of the staff here is lovely (except the Indian guy working the front desk afternoons/evenings and responding to the Marriott chat is rather rude/disrespectful). My room was nice and comfortable, but smelled of old cigarettes. The location is in the heart of downtown, which is convenient, but also has a massive homeless problem. I didn’t feel safe walking around.

I absolutely love the service of this hotel and The lounge is immaculate. I also am satisfied with the overall layout of the theme of the room as well as the general neatness of the entire building. Even when things are not right they always try to fix it with best of their ability. But it’s not without grips though. First and Foremost the immediate location is not somewhere you’ll feel safe at. Homeless population are aggressive and overwhelming. The fine fit and finish of the rooms have a lot to improve upon. While i don’t regret this stay. There are much better hotels to stay at in much better locations.

The service is good. Staff / valet all very polite and friendly. The hotel is no Ritz though. Carpets in room look dirty. Overall quality of facilities is run down.
