This is such a fantastic place! I moved away from Worcester right around the time Root and Press first opened so I never got to try it, but I was in the area and suggested getting brunch here with my mom. We both got breakfast sandwiches, I got the avocado melt with egg, bacon and cheese. It was huge, flavorful and so filling! The home fries were also so crispy and tasty. We got the mixed berry lemonade and an oreo milkshake and they were both incredibly good. The employees were so friendly and efficient, the food came out quickly despite the place being super busy. It's a small establishment so it's best for visiting on your own or with one friend, but the atmosphere, book selection, and food is awesome. I will absolutely be back the next time I'm in the area!

A newly discovered gem in Worcester! My girlfriend and I were thrilled with the breadth of vegan options and we both had a wonderful lunch. I had the vegan BBQ bacon impossible burger and she had the impossible meatball panini weekly special. Both were absolutely phenomenal! It was the best vegan american food we've had in Worcester While waiting, we perused the books and enjoyed the wonderful selection. The staff was friendly and gracious. We can't wait to go back and tell friends about it

This fun, little book store Cafe is a true gem in Worcester. The book selection is small but mighty. And the food... Yes, the food is wonderful. The café caters to all eaters regardless of allergies or diets. The vegan options are wonderful and filling. I suggest the vegan bbq bacon burger. If you're hungry, get the vegan mac as a side. Or the vegan shaved steak with potatoes. You won't regret it.

Tasty food with good vegetarian and healthy choices. A charming atmosphere with friendly but not overbearing service. If the weather is nice, eating on the patio outside is lovely! Also check out the bookshelves, of course - a small but well curated selection of titles for sale.

Best vegan food! Absolutely amazing as always! This has been a ritual of ours when we're in Worcester. We go shopping at seed to stem and surrounding shops then head to root and press for some food before traveling the hour back home. They are killing it on the vegan food they offer. Super inclusive if you have a vegan and meat eater group of friends 💚

Lovely place! Excellent menu with an amazing selection of food for all lifestyles and dietary needs, down to dessert! Delicious, fresh food offerings, friendly and kind staff, and a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere. I will definitely be back! Also, their book selection is phenomenal and extremely well balanced between non-fiction, fiction and children’s books. Such a sweet spot!

Food would be 5 stars if the menu had even more vegan options, as this is the best place for vegan beakfast in Worcester. The book selection is interesting, I've purchased a book from there before. Seating is very limited, so you have to show up before brunch rush. The employees are always extremely nice and helpful.
