Had a great experience! Went here specifically for the sushi and it did not disappoint! Tried several of the signature rolls including the Phantom roll & Baked Salmon roll. So good! The tuna and salmon sashimi was so fresh and flavorful! Look forward to trying more the next time. Excellent service and affordable price. Lots of other choices on the menu. socially distanced tables.

The first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell. I went during the week for lunch, the place was empty, we were seated immediately. Our food came out fast and everything tasted fresh. I ordered 4 rolls and they were all great. Their fried rice was not good at all, it’s more like white rice with sauce on top. I will def be back but would take it to go just because of the way it smells in there.

Okay I’ve tried almost every sushi in the area and LOVE this place the best. It is the tastiest most flavorful restaurant around! I’ve dined in and gotten take out several times and have never been disappointed. Idk how it took me so long to give them a review! The only thing I wish different is for them to have a bigger space!

If the service was as good as the food, I'd give 5 stars. The kid serving us just seemed annoyed with us. I politely asked for extra lemons for my water and he was rude from then on. I finally had to ask if we could please order after 15 minutes of waiting. He was serving only 1 other table. He had earbuds in the entire time so maybe he couldn't hear us well. He smarted off to my husband when he was trying to ask about the Ramen. Our food came out all at different times and appetizers were not first. HOWEVER- the food is incredibly delicious! Big portions and reasonably priced. It was so good we even went back to grab ramen for our son for dinner. The shrimp dumplings hit my tastebuds like nothing I've ever eaten. The Bento box provides plenty of food even for big appetites. I ordered the Superman burrito and I'll never be able to finish it in this lifetime! Shrimp tempura was fried perfection. Crispy yet soft with a great batter. I could drink the Ponzu sauce. The Ramen is phenomenal. Noodles are cooked perfectly and it's just salty enough. We will still go back but I just hope we get better service or we'll just do carry out.

All I can say is.. wow!!! Sushi was absolutely delicious and we got our orders very fast as well. I kept hearing about this place and now I know why. I will return here!

This was my 3rd time at Umi and it was just as delicious as the first two. The Ahi Tower is my all-time favorite, when it comes to sushi, but some minor health issues have me holding back from any spice. I had to find something mild, yet flavorful, and let me tell you... the Lion King roll is it. Such a delightful combination of tastes, yet it doesn't cause me pain (like spice currently does). It's so tasty, I've now had it twice. Service has been nice each time, too. Price point is what I'd consider average, as this deluxe roll, I believe, was $15.95. Just as filling as it is delicious. Give Umi Sushi a try. It's worth it.

Love the cozy vibe! Come either by yourself, with a friend, or a group! Staff is friendly and welcoming. Loved talking to Sarah ☺️ Sushi portions are nice and generous! The basic eel roll even features a slice of actual eel, which was a nice experience. They also sell their sushi to Sprouts Rockwall. Be sure to check them out!

I've been here three times in the past month or so. I swear everything is delicious! My friend and I love the Paradise Roll, Avocado Roll, and the Shrimp Tempura Roll. They also serve Sake, which is a definite plus. We had the White Peach Sake the second time there, and we even took a bottle home. The atmosphere there is very welcoming, all the employees are so nice, service is always great. They also all wear masks and gloves if you needed to know. The past couple of times we had sat pretty social distanced from other customers. Although this 3rd time was interesting, they ended up seating us really close to other customers, because they had closed off one side of their seating area. A little uncomfortable, but I mean we still enjoyed ourselves. One other small complaint would be that they don't have the Fried Tofu that is on the menu. (I really want to try the Fried Tofu!) They've been out of that item ever since the first time being there. I'm being patient and will keep asking if they have it when I visit. Overall, for the price, it is a great spot for sushi!

This is me and my wife’s favorite sushi place in the area! I love the bigger roll sizes (each piece) and the pricing is decent for the top quality and quantity of the food that Umi serves. We love the service that we get when we dine at Umi, they treat you like family but also try to stay conscientious of your time. One of our favorite rolls here is a riceless roll called Cool Hawaiian. They recently started serving sake and Japanese beer, and I was introduced to Sapporo which is a light beer. Their house made salad dressing is a favorite of my wife’s. Sarah the manager is always very friendly with us when we come in, and loves our feedback about the restaurant. She takes the time to talk and doesn’t seemed rushed. My wife had been sick prior to this most recent visit, and I felt comfortable enough to ask Sarah for help to do a takeout order for us (my wife normally orders everything so I have no idea). Since we did make it in, I told Sarah that it was my wife’s birthday and she made it a point to come over and sing to her with a special dessert. We just can’t say enough about Umi Sushi!

Umi Sushi at Firewheel Center is a great spot to grab a quick bite of your favorite Asian food. Chicken fried rice is one of my favorites and the Volcano Roll (quite literally on fire) was as delicious as its presentation promised. Fresh and delicious. I got lucky and stumbled in here between rushes. First time random pick as I'm in the area for work. It definitely got busy while I was there and they seem to do a ton of takeout as well. VERY large selection of rolls, if you like variety this is the place. I had 2 rolls and the sashimi sampler. My food was excellent, will definitely return when I'm back in the area.

Got the calamari, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura and volcano roll. Favorite were definitely volcano roll! Next up was shrimp tempura. Volcano roll was filling for two, the rest had to be crammed in. Little pricey otherwise

Ordered spicy chicken teriyaki and it was SPICY I loved it. So if you have a low heat tolerance don’t get it lol Ordered some fried sushi. I don’t remember the names but I liked the jalapeño stuff one and my wife liked the fireball I believe it was called. Wait staff was nice and attentive. I enjoyed the service and my food.

By far one of the best sushi restaurant that we have been to in DFW in a long time. They dont just look delicious, they're very flavorful and the waiters and very attentive. Highly recommend it.

This was our first time visiting the place. Everything was going really well. My wife and I were really enjoying our time and food. We had a couple appetizers and had ordered 2 rolls, not rushing our evening. We were preparing to order another item and the waitress brought our check. I guess she saw the looks on our face and tried to clean it up with an " OH, you can still order more if you want". At this point I was ready to go, my wife wanted to continue with the order, so we did. The order came and before the waitress left the table she asked if we were ready for the check now! WILL NOT RETURN. We felt rushed. Lost business, due to service, not product.

My family and I had the best experience ever! First of all, the place looks amazing, clean, and has nice homey atmosphere. Second of all, Jane our server was sweet, polite, friendly, and made you feel very welcoming! Food was GREAT! The sushi, ramen, and combination fried rice was exemplary!! I definitely recommend this place! Lastly and third of all, Jane always made sure we were good and/or if we needed refills, napkins, or any sauce. She received a nice tip , she definitely deserved that and MORE!! We will definitely be back!!

Went for our son's 14th birthday. First time here. I really don't have any complaints. Not sure why I expected it to be a bigger restaurant but it's still nice. The food was delicious. My favorite was the heart attack roll! Soooo good. Also ordered Ramen, veggie rolls, fried rice and the Rainbow roll. And everything was great. We definitely will be going back. I also really enjoyed the music they played. They had chill electronic music on. The staff was also very helpful and everything came out pretty quickly. Thank you

Really cool place! Sushi and sashimi tasted amazing too! My only issue was with their specialty rolls , they had too much imitation crab. We had big mama and volcano something from the specialty list and most of it was imitation crab! Overall great experience!

Wow so delicious these rolls hit the spot let me tell ya I started off with the cool hawian, then a butterfly kiss then finished off with a custom roll with avocado,cream cheese, baked eel wrapped with crab meat Had to bring stars down due to the comedation for my child that has a dairy allergy 😫 when were about yo dine In customers service and food is still a 5 star in my opinion but if you can't help in helping us find something diary free to eat for my child then sadly could not stay and had to pack up what we ordered for myself and other child so my other one could it could eat as well I recommend finding something on a the kids menu something diary free theses days there are lots of children with this simular allergy

The sushi is pretty great and the ramen was very flavorful that you would enjoy every bite. And the presentation of the food was outstanding, props to the chef. Service is was good and fast as well. So if you’re ever in Aggtown swing by

Stopped by tonight for some shrimp fried rice and spicy tuna rolls...horrible! Shrimp was small and tasted old and spicy tuna rolls were very, very tiny and so messy. Only wish I could post photos.

Just your average sushi place in terms of taste. It’s definitely on the pricier side. Service was okay. The salmon looked good, but didn’t taste as fresh as I was hoping for. Their spicy Mayo tasted strange so that might be why I didn’t really like the other rolls. The spider roll hardly had any soft shell crab.

There was a small odor when you walked into the restaurant, but the food is delicious!! We tried a specialty roll, nigiri, simple rolls, and pad Thai and they’re all delicious. Especially love that the sweet shrimp and eel just melted in my mouth. Will definitely come back again.
