The location is excellent. It’s near PGBT highway. Thus, it’s convenient for you travel to everywhere. Enable you save lots of time and money on commuting. This hotel was excellent and perfect for travelers who value cleanliness and affordability. I absolutely love the Hyatt Place brand because they consistently provide high-quality accommodations with comfortable rooms. Additionally, they offer complimentary breakfast to all guests. While the breakfast options may not be extensive, I can still satisfy my hunger. Overall, this place offers a great stay and a chance to relax.

Just stayed here. We were coming in pretty late and I had time to read a lot of these horrible reviews. No one was answering the phone which was adding to the concern. Showed up. Check in went smoothly. Room was very fine - clean beds, no dust, all in order. Contrary to one review the AC was VERY cold and ran very consistently even after I bumped the thermostat up. Yes, the water did take a little bit to warm up but don't let that fool you it will get very hot. Breakfast was very normal Hyatt breakfast and tasted fine. Plenty of places to sit. A very normal hotel experience. Would stay again.

My mom wanted to give it 2 stars because she said it wasn’t the typical Hyatt place and the rooms needed to be renovated, but I’m giving it 3 stars because I’m not that picky. I thought it was a nice stay especially with the discounted price we were given from hotels.com. The room was pretty spacious. We had 2 queen beds and a little sitting area that had a couch and a desk. The mini fridge appeared to be leaking and broken at first but it turns out that housekeeping turn it off after cleaning the room. If this is the case for you there is a knob on the inside that you can turn to turn it back on. They serve breakfast in the mornings and the place is pet friendly (or dog friendly I should say I don’t know if other pets are allowed). Sure the rooms and maybe even the hallways could use some updating but if looks don’t bother you that much it’s not that bad.

Went to check in and asked for a luggage cart. After waiting 20 minutes, I went up and asked again. She was sitting in her phone and got annoyed when I interrupted her social life. Checked into the room and the bathroom smelled like a gas station. The door hinges and towel rack are rusted over and look gross. The shower gets lukewarm, at best, and water pressure was super low. I called the front desk on the room phone and asked if there was something that could be done. She said “we just got a new boiler so that’s just how it is”. I asked if she meant it was just put in and needed to heat and she said “no that’s just the way it is” in a monotone voice. When I tried to hang up, I ended up having to crawl under the desk and unplug the phone because the buttons didn’t work In general, it’s a poorly updated stay. The carpet in the rooms is tattered in places, the TV looks like it hasn’t been updated in 10 years, and the staff seems annoyed you’re here. Stay at one of the hotels across the street, but don’t stay here

This hotel sucked. First no one answered the phone. Then we get there and the system is down and their manager Olga was called several times and she did not help. The front desk lady was told to let everyone in manually so no keys were given out. At 5 pm we were leaving to an event and still no manager and no room key. Our room had no towels and there were water stains on the walls. #dobetterhyatt

Having booked rooms in advance, you would assume the rooms would be clean before you get into it. Not once, not twice, but three times, we were put into rooms that were filthy, horrible and not what we asked for. The first had only one bed when we booked for two. The second was just not clean at all. The third was the kicker. At this point, we had even offered to change the bed sheets ourselves, but there was still fecal matter in the toilet when we went to check. Absolutely tragic. The beds were messy as if someone was recently there and it was just gross. A side panel by the tv even slips out the socket. Just so shabby. This isn't even to mention the customer service which was lousy at best. I assume the place was better before, but sleeping in our cars would have been better than having them run us around in circles with the sad excuses of a hotel room.

My family and I loved the place, very cozy, the atmosphere is warm, very nice, everything, the breakfast sensational, just one thing, the carts to carry the suitcases do not work, but from there everything is very cozy, thank you HYATT PALCE DALLAS/GARLAND TX 🥰

Room was dated, not clean, visible carpet stains, used soap and hair in shower, dead roach smashed on the side of the TV mantle. Hot water and water pressure were minimal. Many people in our party complained about it. Bed was comfortable but I was afraid to sleep in it. If I wasn't here for a family reunion and everyone wasn't staying here I would definitely never choose this hotel. Staff was nice and informed, breakfast was hot and the eating area seemed clean. The location is the best thing about it. I however do not recommend.

I arrived on a Thursday afternoon and parked in the front of the hotel about 100 feet from the front door. By 8 am I was in my truck. When I started my truck it sounded like a HOT ROD! Someone had stolen my Catalytic Convertor. It was not only a huge inconvenience for me, but the staff I spoke to on two separate occasions did not react like it was the first time, or to concerned. The first staff member asked if I would like for her to call the police out and I said yes. I came back to her 5 minutes later and she said she hadn't call them yet. Then asked me if I wanted their number. There was a truck similar to mine parked under the awning directly 10 feet in front of the front door to the hotel, which is a no parking zone. The truck was parked there all weekend. When I question it the people at the front desk stated it was the managers. I also asked if they had cameras that pointed at the parking lot. The front desk staff stated they did not. While I was there I witnessed a tow truck drive up and down every row several times a day. It's very concerning to me that a tow company would be allowed to come onto the property so many times, especially when there are tons of parking spaces available, why would the manager park right in front of the entrance door, and why doesn't a multimillion dollar hotel have security cameras on the outside of their building? I was in town on business and invited by the City of Garland. This hotel visit has really affected the way I will conduct business moving forward, and I do not plan on coming back to stay at this hotel, due to the fact I did not/do not feel safe there. This stay has also affected my life in a very negative way mentally, and financially. This hotel has not done anything positive to help.

This cannot be a Hyatt. The carpets smell of marijuana (skunky smell), stained and dirty. Coffee machine is broken. The bathroom drain doesn't work. When we arrived, check-in staff had earphones on, didn't care about customers (granted it was 2 am, so probably not "A" staff). On the 2nd night, called front desk that the neighboring room had marijuana smoke coming out of it and the entire hallway and our room is full of pot smoke and loud noise. The front desk did not care. Just....wow. One of the worst experiences ever. Wouldn't give this hotel 1 star.

Worst hotel stay of my life. Wasn’t able to check in until 4:20p (regular check in is at 3p). Front desk concierge Faith did not accommodate us and toed the line of unprofessionalism. No effective interpersonal skills. The hotel room itself was falling apart. Wallpaper was coming down. Towels and sheets were damp. Shower had pink mold. Carpet is dirty and should be replaced. No renovations or upgrades. An absolute disgrace. Will never stay at this Hyatt again!

Upon arrival to the Hyatt I was expecting a above average and clean hotel with great customer service given the 4 star rating.I was extremely disappointed that the 4 star rating is given to this location given the rude staff, and extremely dirty rooms. The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s by the highway, that is it. We had a hour late check in and were told that our room was still not ready, and when we asked if we would be compensated in any type of way we were told no. When asked to speak to a manager the staff gave us a run around and gave us a bogus email address also. When we got to our room there was a sticky wet spot in the floor by the front door. The bath/tub looked as if it wasn’t cleaned in a few months, and the towel rack was all rust. The walls looked like there were grease/grime stains. This stay was possibly the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and comparable to a secluded roach motel. How this place is getting 5 star reviews is beyond me. And now after attempting to post this review and being notified that I can’t post the review now makes sense how they kept the 4 star review.

I loved staying here! I have stayed at least 10 times in my course of visiting home to see my family or just to get out of the house for some renovations. The hotel staff are great and caring and the shears and floors are always clean. I never have had an issue with the way they do things there. 10/10 would stay again.

The hotel is in desperate need of some basic renovations and maintenance. The rooms are spacious but they are definitely showing their age. I’m assuming they were short staffed, but in my four night stay, my room was not visited by housekeeping. The front desk workers were pleasant. Location is good.

review from former employee of this place!! As i worked here i saw so many unacceptable things. infested with bugs, ants, and roaches. guests complained almost every single day that i worked there. Many people were charged double the amount of their stay, the most common complain. housekeepers entering rooms without knocking while guests are still in there. Many deaths happened in this hotel and many people claimed to have had ghosts in their room and other weird unexplainable experiences. for anyone who wants to work here: managers are very very unprofessional, they will assume you have no life outside of this job, oh and you are not allowed to get sick. they will barely pay you minimum wage, also you will not get time and a half for working holidays. i was expected to work with a 104 - 102 fever.

Great experience! Our room was large -more like a suite, with a separate desk space and sitting area. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. A nice hot breakfast was available each morning. Family friendly hotel.

Hyatt Place in Garland/Richardson Specifically Room 513. Upon entering we thought the 2-Queen bedroom with a living area and workstation was perfect. NOT! The bed closest to the window, the mattress needs to be tossed and replaced. By the third night I couldn’t sleep as the mattress was so uncomfortable I decided to sit up in bed and write this review. There was NO hot water during the 3-night stay we were there. Notified front desk, they sent a maintenance man who stated we needed to let the water run until it trickled down and got warm. I say warm because it never got hot. Next morning same issue, cold water. We let it run and it got barely warm. By the time I got undressed to get in, it was cold. The air conditioning is being ration. It comes on for 2 minutes and goes off for 15 minutes. Very uncomfortable room period. We will not be staying here at all during our weekend trips to Dallas. I wish I could give this place a 0 star. I do not recommend.

Very impressed with this hotel. The bed is super soft and the pillows! Great customer service at the front desk. Breakfast bar is really good and the front desk allowed us to use the microwave during the evening so we could warm up our food. There are snacks and beverages for sale any time of the day. Pool was open. Gym is also available.

Decent hotel that serves hot breakfast. The hallways and common areas were clean. My room though, needed some updates. The door appeared water damaged. The carpeting needed some cleaning. The TV, for some reason, kept telling me that it was "temporarily unavailable" and wouldn't show anything. Staff was friendly and nice though and the room was pretty large.

I've traveled weekly for the past year and stayed at tons of hotels. I hardly ever get a good night's sleep when traveling. Last night that changed! I stayed at Hyatt Place and all I can say is wow! The mattress, pillows, and sheets at Hyatt Place were by far the most comfortable of any hotel ... period!!! I literally woke up 5 mins before checkout because I kept getting back in bed. It was that comfortable!!! The other reason I absolutely loved my stay here was not not once did anyone knock on my door at 9 or 10 am to make sure I knew checkout was at 10 or 11! Every other hotel literally knocks on the door to remind me of checkout, even with a do not disturb sign hanging! Once at a different hotel someone even used a metal object to beat on my door to remind me of checkout 2 hours away. Duh, cause I didn't know!?!? Loved this hotel and cannot wait to stay again! I promise, if you stay here... you will miss the bed when you check out!

Walking into the lobby, you feel that you’re staying in a relatively nice place. It’s no Ritz, but it’s decent. Then you get to the rooms. Everything in the room needs to be updated. Bathroom was ok, but the furniture in the room was extremely outdated and old. The doors to the rooms are wooden, and it’s extremely apparent that some rooms have been broken into. There are whole chunks of wood missing from the door where the lock/latch is. For $200 a night, stay somewhere else.

Dirty, filthy, disgusting hotel we ever stay at. The room smelled like urine. The ac wasn't working properly. The wall has many cracked, stains on carpet, light isn't bright. Bed is noisy and itchy. We tried to live since We only in Texas for 4 nights but had to leave the next morning. This property needs lots of update and a deep clean! No house keeping unless you request! Worse place we ever stay at! The parking isn't safe either because of the lighting. We end up booking at another hotel in Plano. Way cleaner and safer!

Friends staying there say staff capabilities far exceed the rooms, which are worn and need a refresh. Too bad, lobby looks nice. Convenient to a few restaurants within walking range ...

Nice hotel to stay at. Went on 10/6,to stay the weekend in Dallas for the OU/Texas game. Beds are very soft and relaxing. Free breakfast was probably one of the best breakfasts we've ever had at a hotel. Very nice amenities. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Dallas.

Although it was just one night, the front desk person was very welcoming and professional. Dated hotel but very clean and comfy bed. Very good variety of choices for breakfast!

One of the elevators not working, torn carpet between hall and elevator which is a safety -tripping hazard. Gym had both treadmills out of order, with one all torn up on the walk track. Pool was green when I checked in, they shocked it and now clear, but smells high of chlorine now. Breakfast is good. It appears that it needs attention of managers . It needs an overall massive cleaning, updated. Rooms need cleaning and repairs! Sad that this Hyatt is an eyesore for the chain, wont stay here again...

Tired hotel clearly in need of a refresh. The room was OK, but everything in it was best up. Common spaces severely lacking...in particular the fitness center. 3 of 4 cardio machines were "out of order" and the dumbbell rack was missing 50 percent of the weights.

Well, mold in the showers and around the toilet, freezer totally frozen over so the door cannot be opened, lights so dim that you cannot see in the bathroom/shower, metal posts/hooks sticking out under the bed so you’re injured or your shins are scratched up, and a TV that is so slow that you feel it is waste of money for it to be in your room from hardly any stations in English/programming to watch/signal available has made this hotel a bad 1st impression experience on top of the fact that I paid an extra $30/night for what I was told would be full restaurant breakfast where the typical continental business free breakfast was included. Sorry to say, but I’m so disappointed with this choice for my wife’s and my 25th wedding anniversary weekend getaway. It’s gets 2 stars for the bed not totally sucking at comfort and a nice lady at the front desk.

First off, this place DOES NOT have a bar. They do have rooms. You can have meetings or parties and and I guess they consider that also. No, it DOES NOT have a restaurant. What it has is deli type food that you would see at walmart after walmart deli closed already. The room is nice and pretty, but the elevator there's only one for six floor six hundred room hotel. And only one of the elevators work and that elevator takes forever. And if you take the stairs, you're not allowed to take the last one cause if you do, you will be charged $250 if it's not an emergency, so you have to wait for the elevator.

This review is mostly for Rochelle. We had issues with our reservation (our fault), but she totally worked things out for us. She was so sweet, helpful, and caring. This hotel better hold on to her. She definitely made the experience much better.

We came in at midnight to check in. My husband stated the receptionist was just rude, and didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. We then proceeded to go into our room. Our room number was 107 I believe, and as soon as the door opened it smelt AWFUL. Like urine. We tried making it work because it was so late, and we were so tired from the drive, but it was unbearable you could see the urine stains in the carpet. So, I called up to the front to see about getting a new room. We were informed there were no other double bed rooms available. So, we all four got to sleep on one bed during our stay. Not to mention the lack of empathy, or even care in the world when it was mentioned.. we got our new room, and it smelt better, but the shower looked dirty.. we requested a manager, but there was apparently not one there. That’s what we were told.

If I could give a zero I would… Starting at check In on Thursday 20th 2023 between 3:30pm and 4pm.. customer service need some salt and pepper for it was flat. Once we moved to the rooms the refrigerator on the stand was dry rot. The Bed is broken on the bottom, bathroom walls were cracked and the carpet was stained. The entire room was FLITHY! I wouldn’t let my pet stay in this hotel. UNBELIEVABLE! Read the real reviews. My family and I got out of the fast.

We traveled back to our home town for a family funeral. Outside our door was a pile of old towels from housekeeping as well as a full trash bag. When we opened the door, the room smelled smoky. Immediately my face began to itch. I noticed the sheers were stained as if from smoke. My daughter's room next door had mostly used bottles of complimentary shampoo, lotion, soap. She found a huge hair in her bed. Her room also had smoke stained sheer curtains. I checked my bed and there was weird light purple stain on sheets and sheets were not crisp and clean. Both rooms and the whole hall reeked of Febreze or something to cover odor. We were able to move rooms and found them clean and comfortable. Front desk was helpful to change our rooms. They rated a 4 in service but the housekeeping service rated a 0, hence a 2. (The towels and trash bag were still in that hall the following day.)

Nice hotel for our family of five, with a great breakfast as part of the price a huge plus! We have enough room to sleep with two beds and a couch. It could stand a deep cleaning and the front desk was short staffed the first night but overall, great!

Average rooms. Hotel staff was bizarre - one guy I think was trying to be funny when we lost our room key but his jokes weren't funny but annoying. Just all around weird employees. Rooms were average. Nothing amazing. Location is off a service road so be prepared that there's no easy way to get to everything in the opposite direction without navigating a weird parking lot to some road. Not horrible but not an amazing hotel either.

It is okay for one night. It needs and upgrade really badly, the furniture are kind of beat up, it is old and out of date. It was clean. I did not like the bedding or the pillows. But that is just me I have down feather bedding at home. Upgrade is needed for sure. Staff was very friendly. The location is great. I did not have breakfast so I cannot speak to that.

First time at a Hyatt and sadly it doesn't live up to its name brand. The "market" as its called is puny with VERY limited options! The king size bed is mostly nice, there's a tear in the fabric that's very visible when you first go towards the bed. The pillows are very squishy and not very supportive. The towels in the room are very rough so is the tissues. There's maybe only 2 trash cans throughout the entire "suite" but you have to line them yourself. The staff at least have been nice, friendly, and attentive. It's just sad that my first experience with this brand hasn't been good/great.
