I've never been to a Vietnamese restaurant so this was a first for me. I'm not sure if the smell of the restaurant is common with the foods that are prepared but, it was not easy on my stomach. I honestly cannot even describe it or compare it to anything I've smelled before. I wouldn't think it's a common smell accompanying anything edible. I pushed myself to eat there since I had drove a ways to get there. But, now I know. They have all of the eatery/silverware in a dingy old container on the table that we dig in and get ourselves, with the mouth part pointing upward. Clearly everyone is able to touch over all them just to get theirs. I ordered at the counter and then went to sit. By then, it was too late to order my food to-go. I suffered through the entire experience, especially being a germaphobe. The restaurant says vegan but, the sign in the restaurant says vegetarian. I asked her which one were they and she replied, "huh"? So yes, never again for me. Also, the food was very basic and not worth the hype I read about, which prompted me to visit here.

A good vegan restaurant. Inside of grocery store though separate from it, gives a different vibe. The smell doesn't carry into the restaurant, so that's definitely good. Enjoyed the food. The peanut sauce is a little watered down than expected losing it's taste. Interesting spices, not very hot but definitely not bland. Liked the dishes. The sandwich as an appetizer is tasty but might taste better with some kind of curry or spices to it.

I recently visited and loved my experience! Incredibly nice staff, reasonable prices, and the food was delicious! I love trying vegan spots around Dallas and this one is definitely top 5! I got the Curry Fried Rice and tofu egg rolls and my sister got a noodle bowl and the meatless chicken strips.

I can not say enough good things about this place. Everything is vegan, but if you took non vegan guests with you they wouldn't notice the difference

This vegan place is so delicious and affordable! For two people including drinks, spring roll and entree, and tip was about $40. I tried the young coconut water and it was so refreshing on a hot summer day. There is plenty of parking available since the restaurant shares parking with a grocery store. It was the perfect amount of food for lunch!

As a long-time vegan who’s lived in DFW all my life, I can’t believe I haven’t been here before — I guess it’s because I’m not usually in this part if the metroplex. BUT I can assure you that the drive will be worth it wherever you are! A big menu with so many options that I wanted to try, it was hard to pick. Myself + my 7 friends got some appetizers, food, drinks…everything was so tasty, refreshing, flavorful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating to our group. They even gave us some vegan jerky that is the best vegan jerky I’ve ever had! I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes out!

This place is in a small food court next to a grocery store. It’s not exactly a sparkling clean dining environment but it’s not horrendous either. The reason I gave this 2 stars is because the portions they served (I ordered the Sweet and Sour Chick’n) were super small. For the price I pay, I expected at least to be satiated, this place left me needing to cook some food at night so that I felt full. There are a decent amount of Vegan places around Texas and when it comes to quantity this is ranks at the bottom. Based on flavor, it tasted like the sauce and nothing special.

D'Vegan serves a lot of your favorite Vietnamese dishes like Pho, but with a Vegan twist. In place of meat, you will find soy meat replacements and seitan. Whether or not these are made in-house, I'm not sure, but they were excellent. We were both feeling like soup, so we went for a Bún bò Huế and their Golden Soup. On the Golden Soup, the broth tasted very clean and had a very light and delicate flavor. For the BBH, it still definitely tasted like a BBH to me, but without meat. The meat replacements were also surprisingly convincing. The same "beef" that was in my BBH, was also found in the stir fried dish we got, which had a very savory and slightly spicy flavor. Additionally, we ordered some egg rolls, which were incredible.

The food here is surprisingly good. We had the #2 spring rolls, Sweet and Sour Chicken and #8 noodles.

Food was absolutely delicious! Also enjoyed the iced Jasmine green tea. BUT.... As previous reviews already mentioned, service was lacking, to say the least. We were offered no water, had trouble communicating, and received a dish that turned out to be spicy even though the menu mentioned no chili flakes. We asked and received a new dish, but it didn't feel courteous and we felt a bit awkward after making that request. Wouldn't come back until service improved.

This place was outstanding! A neighbor recommended it to us some time ago, and we finally got around to trying it. Have a little patience, since the service is kinda slow but they are super friendly, and I actually really liked that after we ordered we just got to sit in peace without being bugged every five seconds. Just go up and ask for your check at the end - don’t be a baby! The food came out really quickly and tasted INSANE. My husband is a super meat-atarian and he was raving about how good his dish was the whole time. I got the sweet and sour “chicken” which had perfectly cooked vegetables and the sauce was awesome. Some people said it wasn’t the cleanest in here and meh they might be a little right, but honestly I’m a huge germaphobe and I will be back in a heartbeat because their food is just that good!!! Don’t miss out!

I went to get some great vegan food from this restaurant today. On first impression, it's tucked away next to and behind the Asian supermarket food court. Right next to the restaurant there is a strong meat and fish odor BUT in the restaurant there is none. I was worried about the odor but the restaurant had a pleasant smell of food cooking. The decor was simple and thoughtful. The service was fast and simple. We ordered 2 types of noodles soup, one was the regular pho and the other was their spicy vermicelli soup (pictured below). Both these dishes were reasonably priced for the size. The tofu and protein were fresh and the broth was very flavorful. All in all, I hope to come back here and get more of their dishes soon.

This is a very authentic Vietnamese restaurant and a gem for vegans. Don’t listen to the bad reviews, they don’t know what they’re talking about. Yes, the decor could use some work, but this is quality food. Make sure to order the Pho, or any of their noodle dishes. If you order sweet and sour chicken or chowmein or pad thai, that’s your fault for missing out on all their best dishes. If you’re not used to the flavors of Vietnamese cooking, then withhold your criticism until you can better appreciate it. It’s so rare to find a fully vegan Vietnamese restaurant, and I think their dishes definitely are on par with non-vegan Vietnamese dishes. The owners and workers are very friendly and work very hard. There are some boxes in the back but who cares? There are other restaurants outside and a grocery store, but there are no disturbing smells. It smells like Vietnamese food and spices, which is a good sign! I wish I lived in Dallas and could come back!

Authentic Vegan restaurant. Food was tasty. Takeout packing needs improvement. Everything is put in the styrofoam box which makes it messy. Rice & gravy/curry/stir fry should be in separate containers. Sauce in stir fry was very less, need more sauce otherwise its very dry and feels like just eating semi cooked veggies. Am sure if you eat in restaurant, it will definitely be better. The restaurant location is kind of tragic. The interior is very dim lit and not welcoming at all. You need to walk through this series of non-vegetarian food shops with array of smells which feels very nauseating for a vegan. There’s roasted/fried chicken hanging right outside this restaurant’s door! This vegan restaurant could do a lot better in a suburb environment like Plano/Frisco/Allen/McKinney since they are really authentic vegan. Hope they consider moving :)

I have to give this place because of two reasons. First off the food was good but the atmosphere and the bathrooms were not good. I did not get a pictures of the bathroom but my wife said they were bad. No problems with the food which was great. To me it felt depressing because the lights were not bright and there were a few tables were it was not cleaned up. Also there were a bunch of boxes in a corner that were not put away and it looked like it's been there a while. This place needs a really good clean up. I might come back here again I am not sure.

Food was good but communication issue with the server (possibly owner?) Not speaking any English. Price looked great online and on the menu but when cashing out everything was 10-20% higher than the menu which made me feel like I was being scammed. I asked for extra noodles on one of the pho and it looked like exact same amount of food as the other one so I assumed he forgot but didn't mind as long as i wasn't charged. But i got charged $5 for extra noodles I didn't get. Menu said $10.50 for noodles or $11.50 after their menu scam. That's almost half the price of the food for some extra noodles. That I didn't even get. I tried to ask why the prices are higher and If I got the extra noodles and why its so expensive etc. The owner guy didn't seem to care and just kept repeating extra noodles. I just got tired of trying to argue and just paid and left. Probably won't return with this experience.

Love having a vegan Vietnamese restaurant with do many options. Service was sweet and food came out quickly. The D'Vegan noodle soup I had was really great, the Banh Mi sandwich was average and could have used more robust flavours instead of the slices of raw jalapeños inside. Will definitely return though.

I don't normally eat vegan food but do dine vegan with a friend who is. The food was so yummy and filling I did not miss the meat. The bathroom for ladies was out so men's was available and could have been a bit better kept since it was not busy. Overall great food experience for a non vegan and my vegan friend.

The most delicious vegan Vietnamese food you never imagined possible! I recommend the rice porridge and the flat noodles. I'm sure everything else is delicious, but I could only eat so much in one sitting! The atmosphere is also quiet and contemplative, with modest but festive East Asian art, and the proprietors are warm and welcoming. Will be coming back soon! 😋

My partner asked me what the best thing I ever ate was. I said I was at this tiny vegan place ten years ago in Dallas, Tx. This is the best food I have ever eaten in all my years. The gentleman who served us was polite and friendly too, we were the only 3 in the restaurant. I went due to the reviews but to be honest I wondered if it was the wrong place. I'm ever so glad I found it, if I'm ever in Dallas again I will make a point to return

I’ve been her twice and have loved my dishes on both occasions. It is delicious. However, the service is hit or miss. It was great during the first visit, but horribly lacking on the second. After waiting for over 15 minutes to have my order taken, I finally went to the counter to place it with the waiter. Food was slow to be served and water refills had to requested at the counter as well. With only one other customer in the dining area, I’d expect better service. Will stick to ordering takeout from now on.

The food was okay, but the place was not appealing. The prices are pretty decent for the food that they’re serving!

A great destination for vegan Asian dinners. The entrees were fantastic and emulated popular nonvegan restaurant entrees. Each entree had a distinct flavor and the exact amount of spice for a multi level flavor. The spring rolls were hot and crispy and filled with veggie goodness. They came with a sweet and sour dipping sauce for dipping. Our entrees were piping hot and delicious. There are unique drinks offered and dessert options. The restaurant itself is interesting and has booths and tables.

I had their spicy Pho and it was delicious. The prices on most meals were very reasonable. It's hard not going back to try something new.

This place has such fresh and delicious vegan food! I got the spicy lemongrass noodles which were amazing. Can’t wait to try more items from the menu.
